Quest from Hawaii to Florida | Florida Kayak Fishing

Black fin Tuna on a $1 rubber shad from Walmart. My first trip out in Florida went better than expected. I spent 3 years kayak fishing in Hawaii and usually prefer live bait, but had to switch it up and troll lures. I took a strike and missed, thought it was something small (Bonita) so I sent out a rubber shad I had tied on to mess around in shallow water and the Tuna smashed it. I was not expecting that and it didn't go smooth, but he ended up on the boat and served up.

Why fish a spinning rod with conventional reel?
Very cool video on your catch.
You might want to use your thumb to level the line on your spool.

Thank you for the feedback. It wasn’t planned to use that ass backwards setup. I put it on last minute to mess around in shallow water and thought I had small Bonita behind me so I threw it out.
Guiding the line wouldn’t matter much using the wrong rod. Already made sashimi and poke
