What are using for mounting hardware for the trunk and saddlebags together? Do you have a four point? I’m new to fat bobs and I’m trying to mount a back reset and saddle bags
Great video as I am looking at a fatbob myself to make a "sport tourer" out of it. How did you mount that Givi top box to what looks like the Harley Hold Fast two up rack?
Honestly? The tank size hasn't been a problem. I get about 180 miles per tank and I'm normally ready to get off and stretch by the time I need to get gas. Really not an issue for me.
I do. I let me son use my Vagabond seat bag and I picked up a Kuryakyn Freeloader duffle for the trip. It’s ok. Holds a lot of stuff. But not very functional beyond that.
Great video. I'm thinking of purchasing a Fatbob, but I was worried about its versatility as a touring bike. You seem to have worked it all out. I'm looking forward to seeing your updates along with your tour. It would be nice if you gave us some idea of the cost of these upgrades. Thanks
That's the Harley-Davidson Softail brake pedal. That you can money for. To replace the total piece of crap stock on that comes with the bike. I have a video on the channel about it here: ua-cam.com/video/DHE6rlY6N08/v-deo.html
Nicely done, I'd be hurt that you called the all leather versions of those bags "wrinkly nutsacks" if I didnt also refer to them that way before buying LOL. Ultimately I picked the full leather ones because it seemed slightly more waterproof but as you'll learn in my review of the bags, they're not waterproof. I've heard of guys using scotchguard or other type of water repellant on the nylon versions, cant wait to hear about how they worked for you
These aren’t waterproof either but only a small amount of water got through when we were riding through that nasty storm last week. I thought ahead and used a Hefty trash bag as a liner. Problem solved.
I’d love to pick up a mustang seat set up like that but I can’t justify springing for the full price of one right now. Looks all set for a long spin you just need a sound system up front!
I would not have bought this seat had I not been able to get an almost brand new setup for less than half price. I bought it off Facebook Market Place from someone in one of the Fat Bob groups there. Super lucky and after 1,800 miles so far… I am very glad I bought this seat. Especially with the backrest.
I didn’t even think about the wide tripper. I assumed it was wider than the other offering it’s actually not as wide and sits you a bit lower so may pick one up. How are you liking it?
It saved my trip. I should have a video dropping Monday talking about how the stuff I put on has performed. We started the return trip back east this morning. Already over 2,500 miles on Touring Sophie.
I have to stop subscribing your channel. First the color of the bike, now the exhaust I LOVE. But I don't want to lose that specific look of the Fat Bob, hence I will use slip-ons.
LOL - Don’t go!!! Trust me… I struggled with the decision on the exhaust for the better part of a year. I still kept the old one and the slip-ons in case I ever want to go back. But we are now 5 days into this trip across the country and I have to admit that making that change so that I could address the storage was a huge plus.
@@withPercy I hear you. I must admit that I am shocked how many things we have in common when it comes to the gear for the bike. Yes, my biggest concern is lack of storage options but on other hand, I will do less touring kms in one year than you do in less than a week.
Gorgeous bike and fantastic setup, Sir!
Phenomenal! Love the set up. Love the travel bags. I can't wait to see the patina show on the new exhaust pipes!
Looks great. Nice setup.
Beautiful bike! Enjoy your trip and thanks for sharing 🍻
Well set up for any encounter there Percy love ya style..👍🏻🇦🇺
Always nice, Percy
Nicely done, I like it 👌.
Thanks, man!
Nice Cycle, what the real life MPG? Range on a tank? I like the Orange 🍊
Do you have a link for that small bag under the seat on the exhaust side? That’s sick I need one
Well done sir. I was looking forward to seeing it completed.

what rear frame sliders are those?
First timer watching the channel and I just wanted to note that your plate and my cat share a name :)
Great video as I am looking at a fatbob myself to make a "sport tourer" out of it. How did you mount that Givi top box to what looks like the Harley Hold Fast two up rack?
I like. seems like you all you need for the long haul. but I wonder how you'll get along with the tank size ?
Honestly? The tank size hasn't been a problem. I get about 180 miles per tank and I'm normally ready to get off and stretch by the time I need to get gas. Really not an issue for me.
Have you got a video on the hard tail box(givi or shad?)and the little leather bag on the lower right of the seat please?
Sure do. You can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/jJgmHSPT4Kg/v-deo.html
@@withPercy Thanks. How about the little leather bag to the right of the seat?
I’m trying to figure out a way to have saddle bags/boxes with a passenger backrest but the attachment points seem to interfere with each other.
Are you using the 'double' spools?
How are you mounting your saddle bags and which ones do you have?
Some saddlebags come with long bolts to replace the spools. They are just no longer quick connect.
Love that mustang seat, same as mine.
Nice ride! Where did you get the wind skid on the headlight?
Looks like it will be perfect. Do you have another bag that sits on the passenger seat?
I do. I let me son use my Vagabond seat bag and I picked up a Kuryakyn Freeloader duffle for the trip. It’s ok. Holds a lot of stuff. But not very functional beyond that.
Oh, is that a Cool Glide?
Best looking Fat Bob on the YTs!
Most equipped as well.
Nice...Did I miss a back pad for the passenger or no passenger.
Like the bike.

Hey what hardware are you using to hold the saddlebags and the luggage rack? Is it the HD holdfasr docking hardwar?
Yes. That holds the rack on. But the saddlebags are mounted with the hardware included with the LeatherPros bags.
@@withPercy awesome. will i have to relocate my stock license plate to fit these?
Dream bike
Keen to see a review on the seat as i am looking to replace my 2019 FB seat.
I put the mustang touring seat on my '18 fb this year and it's great so far. Gets better with every ride.
That looks very sweet! I currently ride an Africa Twin and was wondering what would I do with all the luggage on a motorcycle like yours..
Can the turn signals be moved to accommodate hard bags?
👌🏻 nice
Thanks 😊
Hi, one question the cushion on your seat where did you get it? I got my saddleman seat and this hurts my ass...
Love it
Tasteful choice of mods. Should make for comfortable ride.
Love the bike, I'm building up a street bob. How you like the foot pegs?
Hey, can you please tell me the brake pedal manufacturer you have on your Fat Bob?
That's the Harley-Davidson Softail brake pedal. That you can money for. To replace the total piece of crap stock on that comes with the bike. I have a video on the channel about it here: ua-cam.com/video/DHE6rlY6N08/v-deo.html
@@withPercy found it, thanks. Ya, I almost have to stand up to apply the rear brake!
I really like how your stainless steel in turning gold, my bassani has some blue in it and I don’t like the way that looks

What foot pegs are you running
Those are Joker Machine serrated mini boards. They are amazing.

Good video!!
Would you tell me the seat with backrest's brand name?
Thanks! It’s a Mustang Wide Tripper. There 3 components. The solo seat. The passenger pad. And the backrest.
@@withPercy Thanks a lot.
How do you fit the top box to the rack?
What’s wrong with your glasses?
Nothing. Those are my sun glasses.
That looks bad. That's definitely a rider bike. B.A.M.F. Thanks 4 the video.

Why not simply get a touring bike. It's like buying a sports car and reconfiguring it into a family wagon.
