Dont use chemicals for dreadlocking No matter What kind. It Will increase your chances for Mold etc. Hold The natural and Wash Them good with normal shampoo, and dry Them The Hell out. Leftover water Also = Mold.

u don't have to stab it so much because u can end up breaking down the hairs holding the loc together. especially if your hair is wet. all I do is twist the loose hairs together and pull it through the loc in a downward diagonal direction until it's all in. i also use the needle to interlock.

  • @julianakinsanya1235

this is how i stated my locs , most of my locs are completely loc'd. i'm at 5 months i can say the smaller locs the faster your hair will be loc'd using this method. when doing so you need to focus more on tangling the hair rather than keeping length if you want your hair to loc faster.

    I have a couple questions.
    1. If you have straight hair and it's just in braids not dreads, but the braids are getting frizzy can you use the needle for the frizzy hairs to pull them in just like the dreads?
    2. For my hair that is in braids at the bottom underneath the rubber band can I blunt the tips with the needle so they don't like do that little curly thing at the bottom, I don't like it. Just the ends. Would I have to back comb the ends and then use the needle or may I just use the needle right away to round the tips of my straight hair. More wavy than straight but yeah. Lmk please.

So upon doing this for a year, and them stopping for 6 months. I can confirm that while crocheting your ends can tighten them up temporarily, they end up falling out most the time. The trick is doing it carefully and just enough for the loose shit to get pulled in and no more, it is very easy to break hairs going to hard on this. Especially if you have dry hair like me. Basically dont go ham on it. They ended up blunting on their own once I stopped fucking with them for a few months and this time they stayed.
