In many Native American tribes, the warriors would cut the chest as a way to say, "this is my heart, the heart of a warrior". He stayed to die not running in fear but standing his ground like a true honorable warrior. This movie did a great job honoring Native American and modern U.S. Military warriors.
@@paulmayden7344 The Predators seem to have something like a bird's larnyx, making them able to easily imitate prey, and other creatures, without the aid of technology. Also, the distinctive clicking/growling noise is them clicking their folded mandibles together, in anticipation.
I love to think about what the predator thinks that laughter means, if he thought about it at all. For all he knows it’s the sound humans make when all their enemies are dead.
Interesting fact: One of the internet theories is the fact that Billy (Predator 1) could be the descendant of Naru, this is because in the books Billy has a vivid vision about is ancestors fighting a "demon who came from the skies". That would explain why he is the only one in his group who can feel that someone is trying to hunt them in the jungle
He shot Dutch’s rifle in half so he could play with the prize human catch. Dutch caught some shrapnel from it exploding, that’s why his arm was bleeding.
In hand-to-hand duels within a tribe, a way to win was to draw first blood from your opponent. This way both tribe members would stay alive after the duel and the tribe as a whole wouldn't be weakened. However, when a duel was to the death, the combatants would cut themselves visibly to deny their opponent the claim of drawing first blood, confirming the fight wouldn't end until one was dead. Billy was confirming he would fight to the death to stop the Predator. That's why you see the Predator taking out Billy's spine and skull, whereas the Predator took just the skulls of the other team members. Billy went down in hand-to-hand combat, a much more honorable way to die according to the Predator's honor code.
To Prey. Of course, the Predator has a different, less modern armor on and weapons than in the 200 years later encounters. Predators, like humans, evolve and technology matures over time. Furthermore, the Predator adapts to the circumstances of its opponent so that they can have a fair fight. At least those are the rules. This predator here has been young and is proving itself for the first time. That's why he works his way up the food chain. From snake to wolf to bear to human. And because this predator is still young, he also gets scared faster. That's why he makes himself invisible in the fight against his brother when it actually becomes life-threatening for him.
Predator mimicking and taunting Dutch's men is not only intimidating 😳 but downright scary, too! Especially when the Predator uses Billy's laugh at the end of the film before the Predator nukes himself. -OG
When the Predator shot Dutch (Arnold) with his plasma canon it hit Dutch's M16 near the receiver-butt area causing minor burns and the bleeding stops when cauterized by the plasm. So, when Dutch falls in water it washes the blood away and no more bleeding. A very logical explanation for a very fictional movie. 😉
I love the original Predator film. It starts out as a typical 80s war movie and then changes genre and becomes a horrific gore monster film that also happens to be an extraterrestrial! -OG

So I'm not sure if you understood the entire premise of the Predators... They're a warlike culture that prides itself on defeating enemies in battle. That's why the Predator takes their skulls. They're trophies. If he had returned home with like 50 skulls from Earth he probably would have gotten a ton of money or become some kind of tribal leader or something. Which is why the predator takes his helmet off when he fights Arnold and kind of inspects his skull. Arnold proved he was a worthy opponent, so the predator wanted to give him an honorable fight, and it would have meant more honor for the predator to defeat him hand to hand.
Hello, amazing review, here’s a little explanation for you, this is the official lore of this universe from computer games, which is consistent with the cinema and even Schwarzenegger was involved in the dubbing of audio diaries for the video game. In general, in the first film with Schwarzenegger, the predator(jungle hunter) was engaged in reconnaissance on instructions from the command, since there was a civil war in that country, he was also a scientist and he had his own personal interest in studying human behavior, he was from the Yauta clan. In the second part, the grod hunter was from the Aturi clan, this clan is obsessed with hunting, for fun and tradition, as you say, they were also knew what happened in central America in the first film, this is evidenced by the fact, that when Harigan took off the mask from the predator, the predator finished the phrase: Ugly Motherfucker, since thanks to the stream of the first predator he knew about this phrase, predators hunt not only for trophies, they use the genetic material of the strongest representatives of various species for modernization yourself, at the genetic level. In the Prey, the predator called Savage Predator, and he is from Desert region, and he belongs to a not very developed race of predators, who are cast as scouts.
Predator 2 is loosely based on the graphic novel Predator Concrete Jungle. Danny Glover starred in Lethal Weapon and Lethal Weapon 2 prior to Predator 2. Predators is worth watching as well. The story established in the first four films is continued in the novel Predator Stalking Shadows and the online multiplayer Predator Hunting Grounds
A few sci fi thing to go through....The original "Mad Max" trilogy, "Water World", The "Tremors" Franchise, "Batteries not Included", "Andromeda Strain", "Cocoon", "Flight of the navigator" or "Solaris" {2002} are all great😉
When you said "I thought he already got him the way he was talking". He did already get him, he didn't stab him or shoot him or anything, but he got him and Tabee knew it. He knew when it went invisible and they weren't fighting anymore that no matter what he did the fight was over for him, he was dead.
Monster movies abound, and since The Thing and Alien have been featured on the channel, I might suggest some of the ripoffs, the greatest of which is arguably Leviathan. And if you like aquatic horror, DeepStar Six is a dumb bit of entertainment. Also in the eighties remake vein with The Thing, the 1980s remake of The Blob is phenomenal for its time, or any time really. And while I haven’t checked your backlog, The Abyss is an underwater adventure of wild suspense and remarkable terror without actually being a "monster movie." Also, Mimic is a great creepfest about hidden monsters from the nineties, which might pair well with The Relic, a... subpar but gruesome horror novel adaptation. That’s all I’ve got for now, except In The Mouth of Madness, which I recommend in general.
The design of the Predator's face and facial movements, in the first movie, hasn't been nearly as good in any other movie since (Predator 2 was probably the worst). All of the practical effects (in my opinion) make the first Predator the best designed out of all of them.
The best one. Action and a predator that’s scary. Even these trained tough guys had a problem taking on the predator. My favorite one. I wish they would try to match the first one again. I know i could do it. You just need passion and respect for the franchise. Anyway it’s my favorite one! The way they done this was awesome from every little detail. The predator was scary once. In this one the predator could mimic voices
Looking forward to watching this today. Was there a reason you went straight to "Prey" after the first two films instead of watching "Alien V Predator 1 & 2", "Predators" and "The Predator"?
Prey directly connected to both original films. Predators you can watch at any point and AVP are basically different universe movies. The Predator isn’t well regarded so not sure if we will get to it but maybe. Predators will be next though.
@popcornroulettereactions The Predator is also connected to Predator 2, and therefore, also to the first Predator. Edit: and it's still a better movie than Prey.
The original Predator is still the best in my book. Despite the upgraded graphics in Prey. You should definitely not skip watching the 2010 Predators movie. With respect and passion you could bring back arnold. I would write an awesome story with arnold coming back and his friend played by stallone and some younger team members including rhonda rousey maybe if could and make the predator scary again and a bad ass action horror movie. I can picture rousey as a character for a movie like this.
I like the members of this reaction team. is a girl on UA-cam with a channel called: The Mirandalorian Reacts, she is very charismatic, if you are looking to incorporate someone else to the reactions team, I recommend her. I saw her in her reactions to Nolan's Batman trilogy and she was very good.
That's not how these work. These channels are spring boards for unknown reactors to eventually getting their own channels. Miranda already has almost double the subscribers on her own as this channel. She would lose a lot by joining.
It is definitely going to be watched. Cami had to pause watching for the channel so we didn’t get to it at the time but also these films are more of a connected trilogy.
you missed predators, which was pretty good.. but yeah, my favorites prey, beats Arnold's just buy a little they're making a sequel. It's already in the works I was reading about it she's gonna be back to protect her tribe.
And I'm sure it'll be just as poorly received. With even more ridiculous combat, hardcore parkour, and Mortal Kombat's Scorpion "Get Over Here" moments...
So I can’t help but notice… Female character: *tries to aim weapon at Predator* Magical plot fairy: *sends Arnie to kick the weapon out of her hands or miraculously implants a three month old fetus inside her* Predator: “I’ll just pretend I didn’t see that. Move along…” Male character: *fingers accidentally brush against a weapon while trying to escape* Predator: “FAIR GAME!!!” *proceeds to rip out his spine* Seems to be a recurring pattern throughout the entire franchise, no?
lol you keep saying "him" like he';s the same one across all movies in prey the predator not even the same race as the other predators , he's what's called a feral predator in layman's terms .. he's a bigger race of predators. they also hunt the smaller predators too. they are both the same speicies but differnt races. the freals were featured in the more reccent Predators and The Predator movies before making an appearance in this one. the smaller predators fromm 1 and 2 are abotu 20% larger than a large human, the feral predators are about 25-30% larger than the smaler race of predators.
three movies/ Do we get three comments....a lot of women join team predator....I think because he always kills all the bad guys and has mercy on the weak...is my guess ..
Prey actually has good reviews. Straight to streaming doesn't mean anything. theaters are dying they aren't the end all be all of movie watching anymore. I haven't been to one since 2011 and dont miss it

How does Popcorn Roulette work? Why are there different reactors? And there is a sister channel Criminal Content. Hoe are the two related cause wouldn’t that separate the revenue from UA-cam, Patreon etc.?
Different reactors means you can get fresh content from doing new reactions to films that other reactors have already done. And separate channels allow for more specialized content for people who are looking for one specific genre, so they don't have to skip videos they don't want to see, instead getting something fresh at a reasonable interval.
@@BouillaBased That’s a very complicated business module you have there. Other reactors have just one channel. So you house are not in it for the money?
@@adammecia5290 It's not really that complicated. If someone's interested in crime dramas or suspense films with an edge of criminality, but isn't interested in animated films, musicals, family films, war movies, horror, or any combination thereof, they have an entire channel that provides a couple videos a week that are perfectly suited to their tastes. So they can enjoy that while waiting for something they will enjoy to make its way through the rotation on the main channel. As far as whether they're in it for the money, I wouldn't know. I'm just a viewer who understands the reasons why they do things the way they do; I don't get paid. I just enjoy the content as it's presented on both channels, as it becomes available. Which is quite often, given the diversity of the content and the shooting schedule that must require. What I'm interested in, I watch. What I'm not interested in, I skip.

And their hunt is a Right of Passage, to be seen as an adult and the right to mate. I did enjoy the Predator lore, It's been a while I must revisit it.
To round out you knowledge of Predators, you should watch "Alien vs. Predator" (2004) & "Predators" (2010)!
Recomended predator movies, This one, Predators, and Prey.
For something different, try Birth/Rebirth. Modern day female Frankensteinish film. Highly entertaining.
She's fantastic and seems like a really good soul.
Another good channel is Boss Movie Reactions. It's the best one I know. It feels like you are watching a full length movie.
That's not how these work. These channels are spring boards for unknown reactors to eventually getting their own channels. Miranda already has almost double the subscribers on her own as this channel. She would lose a lot by joining.
Welcome back! We missed you. Great reaction, so far.
Aw thanks my friend! I’ve got some more coming up. Miss you all!
Strange you did not consider “Predators”. It’s definitely worth a watch.
It is definitely going to be watched. Cami had to pause watching for the channel so we didn’t get to it at the time but also these films are more of a connected trilogy.
Shouldnt have skipped predators 2010
She has watched it!
47:12 bill paxton was the only actor, that was killed by an alien, the terminator aind the predator....
FYI the Predator is dead so Dutch can’t face him again because he is dead. He could possibly face another not the same one!
you missed Predators it's really awesome!
you missed predators, which was pretty good.. but yeah, my favorites prey, beats Arnold's just buy a little they're making a sequel. It's already in the works I was reading about it she's gonna be back to protect her tribe.
Really enjoyed Predators. Not as well known as it should be.
And I'm sure it'll be just as poorly received. With even more ridiculous combat, hardcore parkour, and Mortal Kombat's Scorpion "Get Over Here" moments...
So I can’t help but notice…
Female character: *tries to aim weapon at Predator*
Magical plot fairy: *sends Arnie to kick the weapon out of her hands or miraculously implants a three month old fetus inside her*
Predator: “I’ll just pretend I didn’t see that. Move along…”
Male character: *fingers accidentally brush against a weapon while trying to escape*
Predator: “FAIR GAME!!!” *proceeds to rip out his spine*
Seems to be a recurring pattern throughout the entire franchise, no?
obvi obligatory Alien and Aliens if you havent already. def have a monster vibe.
Uh I love those movie! I wish I hadn’t seen them yet! Thank you for the suggestions!!
Didn’t really care for prey that much but I do like the predator in it
Cami does fx makeup? I wanna see!
I do! I have worked on a few local films doing fx makeup. Acting is my favorite in the industry though :)
Prey is the superior movie in my opinion
Could that shirt be tighter 😂
The other movies don’t matter they are not canon they are just cash grabs. The onlt predator movies that matter is the first 2.
Countdown to UA-cam removing video for gore... 3, 2...
lol you keep saying "him" like he';s the same one across all movies in prey the predator not even the same race as the other predators , he's what's called a feral predator in layman's terms .. he's a bigger race of predators. they also hunt the smaller predators too. they are both the same speicies but differnt races. the freals were featured in the more reccent Predators and The Predator movies before making an appearance in this one. the smaller predators fromm 1 and 2 are abotu 20% larger than a large human, the feral predators are about 25-30% larger than the smaler race of predators.
Godzilla.flight of the navigator.the last star fighter..
Hello cami
Hello Shawn!! Have a great day!
three movies/ Do we get three comments....a lot of women join team predator....I think because he always kills all the bad guys and has mercy on the weak...is my guess ..
5:50 13:40
Predators is the 3rd and last good movie in the saga. Prey is pretty much just some straight to streaming fan-film style prequel.
Prey actually has good reviews. Straight to streaming doesn't mean anything. theaters are dying they aren't the end all be all of movie watching anymore. I haven't been to one since 2011 and dont miss it
and in prey you get the weakest predator to date....
@@Metzwerg74 and. So all humans have teh same strength an abilities even among élite soldiers? Or are some stronger and better than others? Or does evolution work differently elsewhere n teh universe?
@@harryballsak1123 the prey predator was just lame... no wit or intelligence....
as you go with evolution...
well him dying is darwinism in action...
was not worth the predator gear...
Prey was the best Predator film.
what happend to predators?
Cami had to take a break reacting but we do plan to get to it at some point but these films all have connective tissue and work well as a series
The movie Prey shows why y'all women rule the world cause she reasoned everything out and also learned from her mistakes!!!!!! js 😊
Predators?
event horizon please.
You forgot Predators 2010
Terminator, Predator rite b4 he became the GovEnator, oh well...
