Exactly. They are the perfect example of why we will never put women on the front lines of military combat. Females don't have the survival instinct. They have a survival instinct to protect their children, but not to protect themselves.
the actor Kevin Peter Hal, who piloted the helicopter at the end of the film, played the role of the Predator. He died at only 35 from HIV from a blood transfusion he got after a car accident.
I remember there was a story going around way back when the movie came out that Kevin won the sunglasses he had on in his "pilot" scene from Arnold playing poker on set during a break in filming. However, it's never really been confirmed.
Kevin Peter Hall was also Harry the Bigfoot in Harry and the Hendersons. He hated being as tall as he was. Ironically, in Misfits of Science, he was with a group of teenagers who had superpowers. He could "burp" all the cells in his body by rubbing his neck bones, making him two inches tall for a short time.
That is messed up. How tf you don't know you got HIV or at least consider the fact you do not practice protected sex and probably shouldn't donate blood till you know.
The chopper pilot at the end was Kevin Peter Hall. The Predator! Dutch was supposed to beat the Predator in the final battle, but Arnie suggested that the idea was ridiculous. In The Terminator, it was Arnie who pointed out that the Terminator would drag his leg rather than limp, because he wouldn't feel pain.
Fun Fact: The reason why the majority of the time on the film we couldn't see the predator was because the creature was being designed. And the crew was having a hard time dexciting. What creature would be cool to create? And they needed to create one that was going to give Arnold a challenge. They created a few designs And the director thought the designs were awful. And Stan Winston Was suggested by Schwarzenegger. After they had worked together on the original terminator And Stan winston kind of knew what he was going to create and he was on a plane with James Cameron And it was jim who told Stan He would love to see a creature with edibles. A creature who can shoot laser beams. And he started to work on the design. And created and he did while the production was still going. And that was the beauty of the film not seeing the creature but knowing it's there. Like jaws, we know the shark is there Not seeing it is more terrifying than seeing it
They can’t calm down. Reading Filipino news article in the 70’s during the Vietnam War, troops ambushed in the jungle by an unseen enemy, the response was for all guns to shoot at the direction of where the enemy fire may have come from. One, they may hit something. Second they may force the enemy to keep their heads down, OR force the enemy to retreat. So, this was also taught to us during High School ROTC, when an unseen drill instructor would throw rocks at us. To see and test our responses. LOL. Billy cut himself to deny the enemy the honor of ‘first blood’. Love the practical effects. Real explosions and real muscles. (Wink! Wink!)
Thank you, I was looking for this comment cause I saw this explained in another vid! They believe they are fighting other humans and with the kind of firepower they had most would have probably been killed or injured. They basically cleared out a small section of forest lol I wish more people understood this scene a little more but you don't know what you don't know and can understand as an outside view why would think "Conserve ammo" and all that.
One of the most harrowing examples of this scenario in film was in Tears of the Sun (2003). Bruce Willis and his elite squad were ambushed in a jungle in Africa. Like Arnold, Bruce and his team formed a firing line and just let loose. The enemy shooting back with RPGs! Bruce and his squad take the fight to the enemy, advancing while shooting with everything they had.
@@DarkLucian88 yeah, my dad was a Marine in Vietnam and he explained to me that the tactic used here is called "Spray and Pray." The only thing the movie gets wrong is that only half the men should be shooting, then when they reload the other half of the team fires to cover them. It's a tactic used when teams or convoys are attacked by an enemy at close range, too close to call in an airstrike or artillery. Had the enemy in this scene been human, they would have been annihilated.

11:21 From the novel tie-in to this movie, Billy the scout/tracker is half Native American. So he grew up in the city and not on a reservation and didn’t totally have their beliefs. That said Billy’s maternal grandfather is a shaman or medicine man and Billy has inherited the talent. This makes him extremely attuned to the natural world and a great tracker. However, the predator is not from our part of the natural world. So Billy senses it as something odd and out of place in the jungle. That is why Billy spends so much of the movie in sort of a fugue state. He is experiencing sensation his grandfather never taught him how to perceive. Billy’s grandfather gave him the black medicine bag that hangs around his neck. He told Billy it would protect him in battle. If you notice Billy doesn’t get hurt until he takes it off and wraps it around his knife hand. Last fun fact ,there is a Predator prequel called Prey that takes place hundreds of years ago. When the Predator shot Dutch (Arnold) with his plasma canon it hit Dutch's M16 near the receiver-butt area causing minor burns and the bleeding stops when cauterized by the plasm. So, when Dutch falls in water it washes the blood away and no more bleeding. A very logical explanation for a very fictional movie. 😉

Police tie hands behind but military and intel/special ops tie in front, so the hands are visible since these units teach to dislocate or break thumb to slip the cuffs or ties as well as advanced fighting and killing. The massive shooting looks like panic but is a technique called shock and awe; it is used to overwhelm the enemy into thinking they are a greater force chasing them.
Hey guys glad your reacting to the movie I've watched most. The rope part near the start isn't a zip line its just called rappelling. Think I've watched this around 30 times, hope you notice when looking through the predator vision you see arnold. I didn't at first until a friend showed me. Pretty cool when you notice x
41:25 - Billy has decided he's done running and wants to face whatever is chasing them face to face. He gets back to his tribal roots, keeping only his blade and drawing first blood from himself ritualistically.
I have to say this. As a guy, I found the fact that you get excited by strong, highly masculine men attractive. These days, women seem to have this thing against alpha males, or at least kick-ass men. And I dont go for this tough “girl-boss” crap. I like sexy, feminine women who appreciate how they are and their nature, and testosterone-fueled men and their nature. Its very refreshing, and in a strange way, honorable. Most women (especially American women) roll their eyes at guys like this. This is what boys wanted to be when they grew up. When I was a kid, we used to play war in the woods. Thank you ladies! Appreciate you!

Strange as it may sound that "Crazy big gun"... is commonly referred to as a "mini-gun". "Mini" because it's is actually the "Smaller" version of the gun, "smaller" as in "Can be carried by a human" while the bigger versions have to be Mounted on something because of how big they are. And they fire around 6,000 rounds per minute, or 100 rounds a second... in my personal humble opinion... it's less of a "Gun" and more of a "Long range *_Chainsaw_* " because of how it just *_cuts through_* everything from a good distance.
one of the most successful alien designs in film history, and an already classic film that I hope will never be "improved" by adding deleted scenes, new effects, and other nonsense.
This team Dutch is commanding is quite fictional to me but maybe closest could be something inside the delta force, when dutch say they are not regular army it can mean anything special. Something top tier anyway
You say "it's the same universe" At the time of release there was no link between the franchises. They add one in Predator 2 and it is VERY TENUOUS. This movie is set 135 years before ALIEN
"self injury before the battle" by Billy is him taking away the opportunity & respect for his enemy to "draw 1st blood" but since Billy did hand to hand combat w/o his gun garnered more respect from the Yautja code therefore making him a better trophy hence both his skull & spine being taken
7:01 oh man, on submarines I think I was the only enlisted man who did not smoke!! This one guy, whenever I was on watch on sonar, and he came in (he was also a sonar tech), he would always say, "hey, [my last name], would you like a cigarette?" and I would always say "hell no, I don't don't smoke!" and then he would take out a platic bottle and spit a disgusting wad of chewing tobacco into the bottle. Then he would say "how about some smokeless tobacco?" lol smh. One time we were moored near an aircraft carrier, and there was this female boatswain's mate I found attractive (pronounced "bo-sin-mate", it comes from hundreds of years of tradition in His Majesty's Royal Navy that we inherited in the US Navy, they handle mooring lines and small boats on the aircraft carrier). I finally developed courage to go speak to her....we were both 3rd class petty officers (a low ranking enlisted person). She said "what's up there, petty officer?" but then she spat out a wad of chewing tobacco!! And I replied "uh....never mind, shipmate." lmao. 🙂
Ive read with billy, the predator held billy in higher honor because he took his spine and skull, unlike the others who were just skulls, because had the knowledge to know it was pointless so he faced him hand to hand. Apparently there was a scene that was scrapped of billy fighting the predator and holding his own till he died. So it makes sense.
Hey… yes we have noticed the issue with the audio too late 😬 we will just have to accept the fact that it was our mistake upon uploading and carry on. Really sorry for the awful sound quality 🫣
Arnold Schwarzenegger was Governor of California for two terms. I am a Democrat (same party as Harris, I voted for her, and I'm proud of how The Great State of California voted for her) and he is a Republican, but I voted for him both times. He is on the right side of social issues (he supports LGBT, he hates trump with PASSION, etc). We used to call him "the Governator"! lmao! One time he had a meeting with the legislature, but they couldn't work things out the first time. He said in a press conference, "I don't want to say I'll be back, but we'll be back as many times as it takes" lmao! And eventually they did work things out. I kept hoping he would say "budget problems: TERMINATED!". But he never did lmao. 🙂
Such a great 80s action movie, they don't make them like this anymore. Arnie was made for this type of movies. Predator 2 and Predators are also good in my opinion. I don't like Alien vs. Predator, but many people do, so it's worth a watch to make up your own minds. I just found your channel because of your The Conjuring reaction. That's one of my favourite horror movies and reactions to that are usually fun.
What do you mean "calm down"? You would panic in this situation as well. An alien just killed your friends. How do expect him to NOT react the way he did?
Well at least 1 of you loves Arnie. It you haven't seen it already and I don't see it on your channel. You should react to "Terminator". You can see a lot of Arnie not too long after his body building years. You won't see a more buff Arnie in any of his other movies. Terminator also falls into this Sci fi journey you're on.
29:00 it’s a real military strategy, if you can’t see your enemy but you know someone it’s up there open fire and clear the area 41:35 by doing that, Billy denied the predator the opportunity and honor of have the first strike
Dillon is not special forces anymore. He quit army and took a contract from the cia. Thats why the whole unit dont trust him. And they was right not to trust him but too late when u already in the jungle
I love this movie and I always enjoy watching a first time reaction.. I'm glad to enjoyed it. I would personally recommend watch Predator 2 and then JUST STOP. (it's like Alien and Terminator that way: first two films in each are great, all the rest are trash.....) If I were to give you some tangential advice, what I would recommend is reading either the OG comic book story of Aliens Vs Predator OR reading the novelization that tells the same story. That story was excellent, had really good characters and plot, stayed completely within the canon of BOTH series. When it came time to make a cross over film, for some reason, somebody took a dump on a paper plate, sprinkled it with glitter, wrapped it up in tinfoil and said: "we're gonna film THIS pile of shit!!". And that is the origin story for the AVP films..... while the man portable mini-gun looks cool onscreen, it wouldn't work in real life. First of all, it requires a power source (which you don't see Jesse Ventura lugging around with him). Second of all, the cyclic rate at MINIMUM is still 3000 rounds a minute. If the backpack has maybe room for 700 rounds of 7.62 ammunition (which by the way, is 39 pounds on his back), that is maybe 14 seconds of firing before you are out of bullets. Pretty sure by the time the team is done with the rebel camp, he is completely out of ammo and the mini-gun is 50 lbs or so of dead weight.
Just to give you a tip to help your channel grow, you will want to get a way to record better audio of yourselves. The sound of the video is very important, and it sounds like you are just using the microphone on what you are shooting the video on. It sounds like you are in a large can and is not very pleasant, and a lot of people will stop watching because of it. Take a look at other movie review channels and see how they record their video, or watch videos about recording audio for your UA-cam videos. Good sound will make sure people keep watching the video and then want to see more of your videos. Good luck!!
I read once Arnold was originally supposed to carry the mini-gun (Old Painless) but it was too heavy. Blaine played by Jesse Ventura volunteered and ended up carrying it. Of course im not sure it that is factual.
In many Native American tribes, the warriors would cut the chest as a way to say, "this is my heart, the heart of a warrior". He stayed to die not running in fear but standing his ground like a true honorable warrior. This movie did a great job honoring Native American and modern U.S. Military warriors.

Originally they didn't have that opening, but test audiences couldn't put together the fact the Predator was an alien without it. They were wondering if it was an escaped government experiment. Predator 2 drops a ton of lore & the other sequels are taken from comic books - much like the MCU which most people dont know which is why they thing the sequels are all over the place...they are from different comic books
If Billy had his gun the Predator would have shot him from a far. He understood that if he went hand to hand he would have had a better chance. Thats why he dropped his gun. He wanted the Predator to get closer. He understood his mentality
It never fails, the GenZ`s are amazed at what we felt was normal action scenes of soldiers unloading copious amounts of ammo along with numerous explosions to accomplish their task, as the both of you exhibited... SO keep on Rockin the Reaction & giddyup SCREEENJAM
6:16 ... Governor Jesse Ventura ❤❤❤❤
Dillons death is the one of the most tragedic death of all movies
Police tie hands behind but military and intel/special ops tie in front, so the hands are visible since these units teach to dislocate or break thumb to slip the cuffs or ties as well as advanced fighting and killing. The massive shooting looks like panic but is a technique called shock and awe; it is used to overwhelm the enemy into thinking they are a greater force chasing them.
Great reaction 👍🏾
Thank you!! 😊 glad you enjoyed it ♥️🫶🏻
The Predator battle helmet helps them see different landscape signatures.
i love predator, rambo, aliens, jaws, good, bad and ugly.i love old classic movies.but predator is my favorite all time.
Yall are so funny😂
Subbed ✅
Thank you soooo much ♥️🫶🏻🤩
Hey guys glad your reacting to the movie I've watched most. The rope part near the start isn't a zip line its just called rappelling. Think I've watched this around 30 times, hope you notice when looking through the predator vision you see arnold. I didn't at first until a friend showed me. Pretty cool when you notice x
Billy being a descendant of tribal warriors decided to face death face to face honoring of his ancestors.
41:25 - Billy has decided he's done running and wants to face whatever is chasing them face to face. He gets back to his tribal roots, keeping only his blade and drawing first blood from himself ritualistically.
When he yelled after he threw the torch...in the law of war he did a battle cry calling the Predator out
Definitely read the tie-in novel. The predator actually returned with a hiss of its own in response.
Terminator next ?
Yes! Terminator is coming out next week ♥️ watching it was so much fun! 🤩
You sound like a Trump voter.
@@kellymoses8566 Oh come on. Really? I just complimented them. But if thats the case THEY sound like Trump voters too, so you could have stopped watching within the first 10 minutes. Your timing sucks by the way. I enjoyed the movie and we aren’t going to get political here. We’re enjoying a movie with them. Dont go there. I found their reaction fun and refreshing. I hope they appreciate that.
They may roll their eyes but they want it really. especially Kelly😮
@@kellymoses8566And you sound like a sad feminist loser
@@kellymoses8566 you've got a lot twisted.
I love this movie 1002 percent
Be sure you do a reaction to Predator 2 from 1990
Best movie
Great reaction 👍 ❤
Consider watching "The Shawshank Redemption", "The Green Mile" and "Forrest Gump"
Uwielbiam postać Predatora odkąd zobaczylem pierwszą część w kinie!!!!!! Pozdrowienia z Polski 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱🤝🤝🤝🤝👍👍👍👍😁😁😁😁😁
There was somethin in those trees
one of the most successful alien designs in film history, and an already classic film that I hope will never be "improved" by adding deleted scenes, new effects, and other nonsense.
All time blockbuster movie ❤
We loved it!!! 💪🏻👌🏻
80s movies pretty good
@@ScreenJamm y'all should also consider seeing the movie Kiss of the Dragon soon, add that to your list
You two are so funny to watch. Great reaction!
Thank you!! ♥️🫶🏻 well are so glad you have enjoyed it 🤩
This team Dutch is commanding is quite fictional to me but maybe closest could be something inside the delta force, when dutch say they are not regular army it can mean anything special. Something top tier anyway
Best comment.... " He could do all that but can't see you hiding behind a bush?"
You say "it's the same universe" At the time of release there was no link between the franchises. They add one in Predator 2 and it is VERY TENUOUS. This movie is set 135 years before ALIEN
The guy chewing tobacco is Jesse Ventura , he’s udt navy seal special forces in real life , was employed during the Vietnam War .
Its called fast rope. When they drop low altitude from a helicopter like this
"self injury before the battle" by Billy is him taking away the opportunity & respect for his enemy to "draw 1st blood" but since Billy did hand to hand combat w/o his gun garnered more respect from the Yautja code therefore making him a better trophy hence both his skull & spine being taken
Cool reactions ! Terminator 1984,terminator 2 1991 reaction please🙏

Pls continue The Conjuring Universe next one Annabelle 1 😄
We will ! 🫶🏻 be patient ♥️
What happened to your audio in this one, ladies?
😂
You'll like the second one too. After that it's kinda hit or miss. Same with Aliens after the second one.
We are DEFINITELY watching Predator 2!
Awesome film. You have done universal Soldier with Van Damme? Great flick for a figure one. Great video also
Such a great 80s action movie, they don't make them like this anymore.
I really enjoy you reactions. I would suggest "The Grey" with Liam Neeson.
Thanks! It means so much to us! “The Grey” is on the list of the movies to watch!
Fantastic reactions
Give the man a coffee (or perhaps something a little stronger) lol
Thanks guys!
Predator blood in movie: mixing the contents of glow sticks with K-Y Jelly lubricant
New Sub! You two reminded me of the Cringe Factor watching this film in the theater. Plus you look good doing it!
Thanks for subscribing! It means so much! 🫶🏻♥️
29:00 it’s a real military strategy, if you can’t see your enemy but you know someone it’s up there open fire and clear the area
41:35 by doing that, Billy denied the predator the opportunity and honor of have the first strike
Dillon is not special forces anymore. He quit army and took a contract from the cia. Thats why the whole unit dont trust him. And they was right not to trust him but too late when u already in the jungle
levians?
What do you mean!? 🤔🤓
Good luck!!
The music 🎶 they were listening to was from the late great Little Richard song called Ball head Sally.
ALIEN and BLADE RUNNER. They all have same universe :)
The Predator self destructed because they don't want anybody to get a hold of there technology.
Yall will like Preditor 2 also!
"Big back" 😂😂
🤭🤦🏻♀️ I had his BACK in mind though 🫣😂
@@ScreenJamm 😂
The big machine gun during the jungle scene is a Russian made type.
By the way. Dillion is not to blame. He didn't bring the alien to earth. Pay attention.
He has brought Dutch to the jungle and got his team killed as a result, no? 🤔🤓

Awesome! Thank you!
Don’t ever disrespect the mini gun ladies
🤭 obliterated the jungle with them guns 😆
Don't let their comments fool you. Women are always, 'the bigger the better.'
Check out Marvel's Blade 1-3, Deadpool 1-2 and Deadpool Wolverine movies, the MCU movies and The Green Mile if you get to the green mile have plenty of tissue it'll definitely have y'all crying 😭
I still think they should have left out the opening scene that gave it away as an alien movie.
Originally they didn't have that opening, but test audiences couldn't put together the fact the Predator was an alien without it. They were wondering if it was an escaped government experiment. The opening sequence was literally rushed in at the last minute. The same thing happened with the movie Dark City.
