Rod Stewart was definitely a ladies-man. He once gave an interview with Opera where she asked what his favorite thing to do was, when he wasn't touring... His answer was "making love to my wife." He has 8 kids, the youngest being born when he was 64. I saw him and Cindy Lauper in concert a couple of years ago, he's still amazing. 🤩
This was a departure for him. He got a lot of criticism for doing a “disco” tune but it turned out to be one of his biggest hits. I was in my twenties and I thought he was the sexiest man I ever heard. Good times! ✌️
Rod’s foray into 70s Disco shocked many people, what was more shocking is how fast it flew off the record shelves! An absolute monster for its time that even got the REMIX treatment (popular for the time). Known as a true rocker, he definitely showed his diversity here. Cheesy as the title was, it was SO APPROPRIATE for the time.
The legendary Rod Stewart. If you look at his total catalogue, there is no refuting that he could sing just about anything and make people stop and listen. He also has a soulful side that is not to ever be overlooked.
Rods list is huge. 1. Have I told you lately that I love you. 2. Young Turks. 3 Baby Jane. 4. Forever Young. 5. Sailing. 6. Maggie May. There are more, but I can't for the life of me remember anymore!

The bass player is my cousin Phil Chen. Phil could play any genre of music and played with a number of big acts. He was obviously with Rod during his very successful "disco" phase. Phil passed away in December 2021, but he left a legacy of great music behind.
"Baby Jane" is one of my favorites from Rod Stewart. It's awesomely '80s! But my absolute favorite guilty pleasure song is "Rhythm of My Heart".
Definitely, one of the catchiest sounding pop rock songs ever. you guys did a great reaction to this.
Rod Stewart is a real legend. He's got so many hits.Thia one is him in the disco era.
One of the biggest dance songs of the 1970s And there were 100s and 100s The 70s Are probably the biggest decade for Huge dance songs, That packed the dance floors
ROD IS IN HIS 70'S now AND STILL PUTS ON A HELL OF A SHOW!!!!!
Check out Louis Armstrong’s, What a Wonderful World. Also Walk-in to New Orleans, by Fats Domino! I’m originally from Louisiana. Partial to a lot of the great oldies!
I love that you all picked this for your first Rod Stewart song!
Congrats on finding the Rod Stewart rabbit hole. He sang in a lot of styles, serious, romantic, fun, loads of great songs to enjoy!
Suggestions for female friday, Elkie Brooks, Lilac Wine, Pearl's a Singer, Gasoline Alley. Or Suzie Quattro Can the Can, or If You Can't Give Me Love.
DEFINITELY DURING MY HIPPIE YEARS AFTER MY 2 YEARS IN THE ARMY 68 - 70. He originally wanted to play pro soccer but I think he picked the right profession
I ran around singing this song at top volume. It was the 70’s and I had no shame being of the toddler age 😂
Rod was a member of “the Faces” and they were awesome! You need to look them up. Rod sounds super bluesy rock with the Faces.
Yes even Rod Steward got on the Disco bandwagon with his top 10 hit” Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” this song was played in so many disco clubs It was a hoot! Love this song. ❤❤
This brings back memories , the 70’s did rock love Rod Stewart
Rod Stewart is a legend! 2 of my favorites are "Have I Told You Lately that I Love You " and "Forever Young ".
Rod Had most of his success in the 1970s This was released in late 1978
I did all my dating and dancing in the Disco Era. This song was EVERYWWHERE!!!!!!
I believe the drummer is the great Carmine Appice....great grove song.
Yeah, after all these years, I just realized that today.
Yea I never knew he played with Rod Stewart
I think he also co/ wrote this song
Rod is the God of music and so talented his songs will be a part of my and many people's lives I was only a baby when this was a hit but I heard his songs over the years growing up and loved them this and sailing in particular keep on rocking Rod and we all love you
Rod was definitely a ladies man back in the day.
Not limited to the ladies, but alas closet culture kept that part of his story quiet.
@@Kunsoo1024
I think I did hear whispers of it a few years ago.
Still is. Finally settled down with just 1
@@Kunsoo1024 that is a falsehood
He's the sexiest 76-year old ever. He's crazy good in concert - so much energy. All those years playing soccer have kept him sexy...
Great skating/dance tune. So grateful that I grew up in this era of great music
The very best Rod Steward song is “The First Cut Is The Deepest”. So good.
From 1976 , The Good ole 70s Baby
I've been on this marathon of watching people react to music I grew up on and it's great to see how they like it. It's the next best thing, since I can't hear them for the first time again. You're one of my favorite channels for it so far. Thanks.
One of Rod's early incantations was fronting Python Lee Jackson with an amazing song call Broken Dream where he demonstrates a remarkable range, you must hear it.
ThiS man is still touring, and he’s still got it. This man can sing any kind of music. Thanks for the memories.
He has SO many hits you could do a whole month of Rod Stewart.
My youth...Elvis...Rod Stewart... Elton John.... BillyJoel....Beatles...Queen,...The Stones.....I love watching your reaction to some of the best music around. Love it.
Not Rod's best this was his attempt at getting on the disco bus. He has catalog of great songs both solo and as a member of The Faces that reflect his true singing talent
This song is absolutely among his best! Not #1, but easily Top 10, and maybe Top 5.
This song had him DRIVING the disco bus.
His time with THE FACES were great beyond compare ,,the albums Every Picture Tells a Story and Gasoline Alley and others he made with them stand alone
This is every bit as great in my opinion.
@@rainbowgames1 If you're a disco fan which Lord help me I'm not
Yeah rocking Rod Stewart! many great songs from him.
His music has definitely changed over the years. One of his first hits was Maggie May; The First Cut is the Deepest; You’re in My Heart; and one of the best IMO Forever Young which was for his son.
Now he sings, "Big Band" too.
A Rod Stewart must is Maggie May. Another great song is Mandolin Wind. And for a real treat react to the "older" Rod. Rod Stewart - I Don't want to Talk About It - (from One Night Only! Live at Royal Albert Hall) duet with Amy Belle with orchestra, string section & saxophone solo. And, Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, Sting - All For Love (Official Music Video). Rod's voice is still great. Just a cool dude with a wicked sense of humor.
You guys would love Rod Stewart’s “Passion”.
One of the best rock voices of all time!
Only rod could get away with this song!! He took a lot of heat doing this song!! Rod steward has a huge catalog but you guys have to do Maggie may!!
Yea! This song would always fill the floor at the skating rink, when it first came out!
Ahhhh memories from my childhood. My mother and father both loved Rod, for different reasons of course. Dad liked the music. Mom, well she liked what she saw. Maggie May is the PERFECT song for you to react to next. is definitely a favorite of mine.
All time favorite song from Rod Stewart, he is an absolute legend!
Female friday Brass in my Pocket by the Pretenders They have several tunes you should checkout.
Back in the chain gang is their best tune.
@@macker33 my favorite right now is Middle of the road. I picked Brass because I like the video. Chain gang works to.
Also another one is the " Divinyls - I touch myself"!!
I requested this last week, sadly I was ignored....😣 any way I like 2000 miles. Stop Your Sobbing, Back on the Chain Gang....
I 2nd this!
Being around since 1955, I notice the most iconic stars have made contributions to every genre of music. Regardless of the time. Sir Rod made this song for us to party at the disco during that age.👍🏾👵🏿🙆🏾♀️🎶💖
