- After destroying another rear end in the Jeep TJ I got lucky and a buddy had a limited slip carrier for the dana 35. No dana 44 but it's still a step in the right direction. Hopefully it makes a difference on the trails, I guess well find out soon!

Congratulations on getting Big Bird trail ready. Thank you to your friends for their parts and skills. Looking forward to seeing how the limited slip helps. Keep the great content coming.
Thanks man! I’m exited to test the new rear end out on some trails soon
The immortal tj. You need a sticker that says that 😂
Can’t wait to see how she does on the trail with the limited slip diff. I have cleaned my truck after trailing in my driveway before. Don’t like doing it, makes a huge mess. I agree with you, best place is the car wash. Great video, looking forward to the next one.
Thanks man! And I thought so lol I figure it would be a mess
The new transfer case probably has a different Speedo gear in it, all you have to do is replace the Speedo gear with the correct one that matches your hearing and tire size and it should be pretty accurate, there’s charts online
Ya I thought it would be something to do with the transfer case. Thanks for the tip
Swap the speed gear from your old transfer case to your new transfer case, should solve your speedometer issue. And replace the O-ring so it doesnt leak.
Good tip! Thanks man
Love the channel.....The car washes in my town in Indiana seem to monitor the stalls quite frequetly and get very angry if we fill the drains with all the mud. I tend to wash my jeep in my driveway. Luckily the neighbers are far enough away they dont get hit with mud shrapnel.......
Probably better than going to the car wash anyway. You can take your time and you don’t have to drive anywhere. Kinda jealous lol
"I've broken 2, I think I know what I am talking about". Oh hell, hahahahahaha!!!!! I think if you break 5 you are an ace.
Speaking from experience lmao!
@@SmokinMonkeyOGI have a JL and I broke the stupid transfer case the first year I had it. so far, 2 years later the second one is holding up. I think I need to invest in an Atlas or a Rock Box. I did replace the little Dana 30/35 axle set up with rubicon axles and electric lockers. Way mo betta!!!!
@miketuggle9273 yeah, my Gladiator is a Rubicon so hopefully I won’t have to deal with that
I wash mine in my yard. When you do this, it actually makes your grass grow like crazy where the dirt falls. You just have to kill the weeds you bring into your lawn. That battle is never really over anyhow, considering my neighbors don't really work their yard. So, it is what it is. I enjoy cleaning mine up after getting it muddy as hell.
Interesting how that makes the grass grow. Makes sense but I never thought of that lol thanks for the comment
@SmokinMonkeyOG you're welcome. Been watching a lot of your content. It's good stuff. I know getting stuck, breaking a winch, loosing a tire bead was one hell of a night. Glad you guys made it out safe.
@donniebaynard8430 ya that was quite the adventure lol
She looking clean and mean! Great video looking forward to the trail video!
Thanks man
Trail Jordans 🤣love it!
😂
power steering fluid
😃 Great 🙂
Thats wash … been there too
And sending it after is best part forgot to tell ya get a pair of timberland it works a lot
I’ve got a couple pairs, but they still get dirty
My Jeep has Limited slip and ohhhh boy do I love it 😊
Can’t wait to hit some trails with this new set up!
Oh sheeettt its Spidey with you today. 🙌🙌
Haha spotted lol
Legoooo🔥🔥
Your tj seat belt kills me every time 😅
😂
Great video. How do you clean your synthetic which line?
I cleaned it in the video, soak with water in tub or something big and let the dirt come out then I wash with dish soap to get all the dirt out while spreading the fibres to get it all out. Then rinse with water till it’s clean
4x4 have different gear in your axles when you have 4.10 gears your front axle has 4.09 gear that has a better traction on pavement drive shaft rotate at different speeds and will eat transfer case.
Yup this is 100% correct
Is there a master list of truck and jeep trails in Ontario
If you join the OF4WD website you’ll get the full trail index
Never drive in 4x4 high on pavement
I agree
Did you ever think, years ago, that people would want to tune in to watch you wash your jeep?
😂
I try to drive through the clean water to wash off underneath
What clean water 😂
vince has a bad wheel bearing you can hear it
he said thanks for letting him know, I’ve only told him for a couple weeks now 😂
Total waste of money throwing a limited slip in the rear. They suck, for how much you pay you might as well save a few bucks and get a real locker, and within a few months this one will go to crap and you’ll be right back to having an open diff.
I didn’t pay anything so I put in what my buddy gave me lol it’s free.99
@@SmokinMonkeyOGohhh fair enough. I posted that comment before I started watching the video. But either way, don’t ever waste money on a LSD
@andrewstaffiere8463 ya man I totally hear that I saw the price the other day and I was shocked lol. I’m hoping to get a junkyard axle off an old super duty if I can’t get some cheap 44s. Then just build it for tons
Seriously only one drop of clean water reduces the lubricating ability of gear oil by about 90%, look it up and ring and pinions are match sets so if you are going to run a ring gear without changing the pinions gear don't expect to get many miles out of it and some power steering units use ATF, red power steering fluid, but I believe yours uses regular power steering fluid in it, if you use ATF in it your seals will leak almost instantly. Read your owner's manual and buy a shop manual and read it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Outside of that scolding I just gave you, get your ass out there and make another video. LOL
I did replace both the ring and pinion like I mentioned in the video, as for the power steering I would t be surprised if the guy who put my engine in filled it with atf. I just put what I found because I know atf is used for power steering in some vehicles. As for reading I think I do more reading up on the jeep than I’ve had time driving the thing lol 😂
Yes, you did replace both but in your last video you were saying that the pinion looked good and maybe you would only replace the ring gear tis why I mentioned it, you left me wondering. My 07Ram, 08Grand Cherokee and 09Cheysler 300C all use the red power steering fluid, the other seven are older and take the regular power steering fluid. I have had to replace the seals in some of those because previous owners put red ATF in them. That is both why and how I learned to tear steering boxes apart and reassemble them while using profane language at the previous owner's ignorance. LOL. OK so now get out there and make another video. no excuses. @@SmokinMonkeyOG
My 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ takes ATF+4 in the PS reservoir. (I get it at Walmart, about the cheapest I can find).
Ya I think mine takes the same thing or at least that’s what there was in there lol 😂
