Keep your head up bro. I have had all kinds of jeeps and I can attest that these tj's once sorted out are a beast. I had a 13, 16 and 18 wrangler with all the bells and whistles and they were both junk both had the junk 3.6. That 3.6 is a thing only in nightmares. Only thing good about it is the hp increase but I personally would rather have less hp with more reliability. Just do yourself a favor and never get one lol. Best of luck
@@SmokinMonkeyOG I will pray for you brother. Hopefully they have done updates I haven't really kept on top of them since I last got rid of mine. Done really know anything about the gladiator. Not really my cup of tea but I'm sure its beefy to be 60k
Really hope you fix and keep the TJ -- these have been years of great videos and breaking stuff comes with the territory (off-roading); nothing wrong with that -- what would be wrong would be to give up and junk it. Keep it running and playing as long as you can!
That’s why I told you before I don’t winter wheel. People always laugh at me till they kill their rig. Sucks that it happened but it happens. Sucks for the big bird. Hope all is well
Winter wheeling is fine it’s breaking ice that sucks. I’ve never had this problem before because by the time I get out everything is well frozen over and you never break through or even know it’s there. There’s too much snow covering it
Check your front axle breather at the axle, on my 95 zj it had rusted closed, I replaced the front axle seals a few times b/c of this, I had to drill it out and replace it with a brass fitting, have not had water in the front axle since. Maybe also check your trans mount to ensure is okay, as Im wondering if the trans mount would allow your engine to move when at angles allowing the fan to get into the rad. Cheers and hope you get it fixed up, eventually it will be solid if you keep working at it.
Get rid of the stock fan and put an electric fan on it. If you still have the stock vent tubes on the front and rear diff you need to put longer hoses on that reach up as high as possible, front to top of firewall and rear to highest point you can. The diffs get hot and when you go into water they cool and suck water into the short vent tubes.
The breathers are routed to the top of the firewall already, and an electric fan will shatter the second you go into a water crossing I’ve thought about it before
That was the issue before but I’ve checked it since my repair and it’s still holding good. It was just the ice bending the blades into the fan this time.
You need to put a skid plate on the oil pan and another under the radiator to stop shit from getting up in there, that ice is tough shit. Maybe you should wait until it gets thick enough, so you don't break thru before you go wheeling again. But then a guy with an endless supply of money like yourself doesn't really need to worry about breaking things! LOL
Most of the guys in our jeep club have them on their oil pans, I have a full length pan on my CJ5 and you have inspired me to put one on my TJ when I get rich like you and get it back on the road. I'm thinking repairing that Gladiator if you break it will much more costly than the TJ, but I do see you and your rich friends wheeling those newer riggs, which is how I know your rich. LOL Anyway your young so you have a long time to dig your way out of debt, hope you have a durable shovel. @@SmokinMonkeyOG
I totally hear that and I’m confident I can get it done I just don’t want to deal with the headache and the fact they renovated the space where I work and park so I don’t want to tear an engine half apart down there and get into any problems with the building management lol
Yo how much money have you spent on this jeep? Crazy how it’s always one thing after another 😂 I love watching the vids man but damn that wallet must be painful
When you were going through the ice, I was in shock. You abuse that poor Jeep. You are getting where the vehicle is too far gone. My guess is, there is a lot of things on the way out. Stay away from TJ's also.
Hope everything pans out for you Mike don't get rid of your Jeep the next one might be worse wouldn't be the same
I’ll do my best to keep this one going
Love the determination to fix her. Great Video!
Thanks!!

Ya the parts are cheap enough I’ll probably keep it alive for a few more years
Love the vids man! I've been getting my TJ road/trail worthy the last few months. I fix one item, another two break. You fix-trail-fix...respect!

Good tip thanks man
You should rent a storage unit for the TJ. You can work on it there without worries of pissing off your apartment management.
I’ve definitely considered it but I don’t need extra expenses at the moment and I don’t want to have to travel to work on the thing
Great ep .
Thanks man
Bummer. Play hard, break hard.
Yup lol

@@SmokinMonkeyOG so the rad is moving back into the fan. Core support loose

@SmokinMonkeyOG ah the joys of gettin at er.
I've had a few rads into the fan no fun at all have to keep a spare rad in the back lol
@@saldar65 honestly considering it lol 😂
I think I said that one the first vid of you breaking ice lol, minden CT carries rads lol
Good to know for next one lol
Do you paint to adjust backlash?
A friend of mine did my gears but yes he did paint them
What is the backspacing you got on those rims for your Gladiator?
4.54 backspacing. They’re 17x9.5 -18 offset
Oh noooooo 😮
Might be time for me to get something else maybe
@richardalvarado4334 all depends how much work and money it will take
If you need a new head make sure it isn’t the 0331 head
Nooooooo not again😮

Lmao think what you want but I’m so far into debt I might not fix this thing and just scrap it lol
If I do fix it the skid plates would be a nice peace of mind mod for sure

The head gasket isn’t hard to do. There’s lot of step by step instructions and the oil pan

Get your own place?
That’s the plan but the cheapest place around here is $700,000 and that’s for dilapidated piece of shit you wouldn’t want to step foot in

Stopped counting over a year ago at 35k
@@SmokinMonkeyOG holy shit dude 😂 price we pay for having fun hobbies. Maybe you need another beater jeep to buffer the cost lol
Been thinking if I want another beater again after this one is done or if I should just calm down my driving and use the gladiator lol decisions lol
I got one thing to say - hahahahahahahahahahah. ACE!!!!
Just get rid of it at this point, you could have one of the sickest gladiators out for the amount of time and money you've put into this thing.
Ya I’ve definitely debated that myself I just don’t wanna trash the gladiator by taking it out every weekend
Maybe you should price a small block Chevy
Not looking to throw that kind of money at this
How many cans did you need to spray the gladiator
I used 5 cans but to be honest I could’ve used the one more
Have you thought 💭 about trying a liquid head gasket sealer 🤔
Yes it’s an option for sure

Did you figure it out since this vid? Warped head? Or just a h/g
Just a rad lmao
