Michael Sabo overall i think it’ll be a perfect build bike... and for some answers as I watched the video that is a stock rear axle, the wheels also have a date stamped in the middle, and those are oldschool maier “low profile TT” rear fenders which aren’t made anymore, and the front is also an older style maier race cut... I wouldn’t take those comments to heart. I paid a grand for a 87 Suzuki lt250r in pieces. 6 grand later I got a completely restored quad that brings back a lot of memories from my teenage years. Suzuki or Honda’s the r’s rip and they rip hard. These modern day quads are nothing compared to the old 2 strokes. Keep up the good work!
Modern 450s are far superior to the old 250 2 strokes in every way. In fact the 400 4 strokes are even faster. A stock 400ex will beat a modded 250r the 250r might feel faster but its not.
All I know is at the local state off-road parks I’ve smoked every modified 4-stroke out there. A 2 stroke completes 2 combustion cycles to a 4-strokes 1. It’s a basic principle in building horsepower. The faster you get the fuel in , get it burnt and out the exhaust the more horsepower you make.
@@mikekent6635 well the guys must not know how to ride. Hmm so that's why they let the 250 2 strokes race with the 250 4 strokes now in mx and guys still ride 4 strokes. Personally, I would have not purchased an 87. Too many weird, sometimes hard to get parts since it was a transitional model.
