Some good numbers all across the board! I have a few friends who run that hybrid setup but in the ltr chassis for mx and they all get pretty good results!
whole bunch of videos on UA-cam two-strokes seizing on dynos coasting down from high RPM. A good tuner will only let it happen for only 2-3 seconds while quickly slowing down the dyno.., not letting coast at red line like this super star
thats very impressive for a 310 mike! i hope my national ported 265 (at least thats the plan) will make around 45 hp. its actually the original top end off your bike too believe it or not.
I love 2 strokes❤ the power they make and they weigh stuff all . That's why I engine swapped my TRX 90ex , I reckon it would pull around 36hp on a dyno it only weighs 130kg.
Wow 60hp plus for a 2 stroke atv is very impressive that's power to the wheels so probably 70hp or more at the crank either way big power and Mike built that engine which is even more impressive nice work fellas!
Mike is a great engine builder . he pays attention to detail . i keep trying to get him to come down to Louisiana and ride with us at my buddies training compound and Zona atv park . but hes way up north and were way down south lol
@@DaisyHead666 1. If you run that rich, you dont get maxium power from the engine 2. More you take power from the engine, more engine braking does harm, and those quads is done pretty powerful 3. Engine braking is always bad no matter what 2 stroke engine you have unless the engine gets oil to the engine other way than with the fuel

I'd trust the guy with 10k pulles on the dyno a reputation of excellence and track record of success. THIS GUY IS ABSOLUTLEY DOMINANT on the track. His motors run hard.

Go do a little research if you don’t believe me. It’s common knowledge in the two stroke world. Maybe he’s really experienced in 4 strokes, and knows jack shit about two strokes.

I heard when you let off on a two stroke like that on the dyno it leans it out you should never let off when wide open and let it slow down on by the motor just think about it not giving it any lubrication after it’s been at 9k plus rpms and all the way down it got the carb shut off...
@@beauthomas4359 that's because most people don't know wtf they are doing, including this dude obviously. The only lubrication the cylinder is getting is from the fuel. So when he lets off the throttle, is goes from getting lots of lubrication from fuel from the main jet, to only getting a small amount a of fuel = small amount of lubrication, while the engine is still spinning at what it would be at WOT. It literally hurt me to watch this. Bmxpro is 110% correct.
250r is a badass bike and yours is one of the sweetest ones I’ve seen. But stick with the ported banshees for power. I’m over 80hp on my 421 with port work. Is the 250r ported? If not that would make dramatic differences and running race fuel. Keep up the nice work
If you love your bikes pull that clutch in when letting off the gas its so rough on the bottom end an so much more work to split the case when it locks up
I had built a 88 250r/ 450 in 2005. Polaris 400 top end. Yz490 piston and 5mm crank. Using the cr 250 ignition and CPI pipe it would put the hurt on the 4mm banshees up the 500footer in windy bay. One was a 4mm cub. Would guess the dyno #s to be 67/49tq The limiting factor was the pwk 40.5.
Dont know about dat dyno. I can jet the most out of whats in front of me by ear,,feel and smell. Cool toys guys. Been there. Was $25,000 in on ma last 330R in 2016. Expensive passion but it is a serious passion.

It's crazy what a pipe dose for a motor.. On my mini sprint I ran ESR P11S and I was hitting 1080 RPMs when I ran the P11 pipe I was at 9.5 I was running the A30 pipe Is adapters with both pipes. I don't know if you have access to pipe adapters. If you do try them

I have a 450R. 520cc 2nd stage cam. I like to see what it would do. It supposedly came with 42HP and is definitely allot more now. Almost like a different quad. Some step up from the 400ex I had with a 440 and cam.
Can you jump and powerslide that bad boy in the dirt? I did put my banshee up for 3 years after I bought My K6gsxr1K. I've just rebuilt the shee 100% tho. K6 is recycled beer cans sadly.

185 to big you could get way more power than that with a good jet setup depending where u are elevation and weather changes everything . Also most of the time i go into a dyno we make the pull at 3rd gear 🤷♂️ . Nice bike and numbers🔥
3rd gear? You alter the results. I know 100% fact that hp will increase at the rear wheels if your running a 2.59/1 3rd. I know ratio can be amended in the program to allow for any rigs that lack a true 1/1 ratio. 1/1 ratio or corrected through programming is only way to achieve accurate results.
You can't make up correction. It makes what it makes, not what it makes plus 10% because some guy's friend of a third cousin's sister said that dyno reads low.

There's Matt's atv in Tulsa Oklahoma they have built and tune 2 of my stretched blasters and 1 of my Yamaha 450r atv and then there's sandtraxs on the otherside of Tulsa Oklahoma about I'd say 5 to 10mins from tulsa hills they tunes all bikes and my last Honda 450r thats what it started as at the end I think it was a 515 or 525 something like that it's been 2 years since I've had that quad

It was probably the main he had in on the last ride , soft sand you have too run it rich.

Those numbers are legit, my gas gas 300 made 53hp with a fair amount of engine work.
My gasgas300 did 63 with mild head work and Vp u4 gas

185 main seems way way too big for a 310 with a 38mm carb. Especially here in the Midwest my 330 runs a 175 with a 39mm carb.
