Order at: www.indiemerch.com/metalblader... Whitechapel video "Eternal Refuge" from their album "This Is Exile" iTunes: itunes.apple.com/us/album/this...
When ever I’m feeling down I always come back to this song, the raw energy these guys put out just lifts me up and makes me feel anything is possible, thank you whitechapel
Sure have chief. I pretty much have heard every super filthy violent band worth listening to. If you think you know some I don't please enlighten me with a link to their track.
No disrespect intended bro. Just figured you may not have heard many riffs that are heavier. I do agree though that it is a badass opening. The vocals accompanying it fit ridiculously well too. I guess it just depends on what you feel is heavy. I personally love the riffs in most all TAS songs. The evil sound of dissonance is what gets me the most.
I mean they are heavy but not one of my favorites. Personally I think the heaviest bands right now are Meshuggah, Vildhjarta, Humanity's last Breath, and Black Tongue.
Josh Lloyd I'm familiar with Gorguts, they are pretty sick. I like how they went with a traditional production style on their newest album. I just checked out the other two bands, they're a little too dissonant for me to get into.
A love of metal is a life-long journey. We all grow as fans and discover new metal genres as we listen for life. Metal, is probably the only thing in my life that's never disappointed me.
Whitechapel is the best deathcore band in the world and I've see Whitechapel more than seven times, still wanna see them more and more. I never get tired of listen to WC.
[Verse 1] My eyes are slowly dilating pure white Skin stretched as if about to tear There's a wretched stench of rotting limbs! Erect I am, from this smell Pain, please end the pain I submit to whoever is causing this pain! In a sense I enjoy the agony Subconsciously I am aroused, fuck! [Hook x2] By now I should be fucking dead But these sacred grounds I still tread Never underestimate immortality [Verse 2] My memory is slowly wallowing back! I have the power of possession in my hands Becoming stronger every step that I take I will destroy what has done this to me Human scum will abide by my words This planet is doomed [Bridge] Pray for a savior to liberate your kind Beg for peace It will expire! I am here To seal your fucking fate! Scum of the earth You're all a fucking waste of life! You're all a fucking waste! [Verse 3] No heretic will stop what is invincible How could I thank you for your time? My name will forever live inside those who appreciate The absence of light and suffering! No heretic will stop what is invincible How could I thank you for your time? I assure, everything, isn't what it seems to be I assure, everything, isn't what it seems to be [Outro] Fuck your faith, fuck your kind, fuck your ways And fuck your world!
I TOTALLY agree!! I love most ALL metal. I am 54 years old and LOVE Metalcore, Deathcore, Brutal Death Metal as well as the classics. Metal fans need to come together not argue. If I don't like something, I don't listen to it rather than spending my time telling the world how much I don't like it.
I truly do not give a fuck what any Metal elitist says about Whitechapel, they are one of my all time favorite bands, I listen to them on a daily basis, and see nothing wrong with liking their music or Deathcore in general, as I still enjoy Thrash, Black, Death, etc. I am going to get a Whitechapel tattoo eventually to represent how much I love their music, does anyone agree with me about this?
I thought I had grown up from metal, especially deathcore, but I relistened to this album and fucking love it, pure deathcore masterpiece, 2:14 those vocals and breakdown are just glorious.
Phil Bozeman has always been my inspiration to sing deathcore out of all deathcore bands I'd say his vocals are the baddest n meanest and of course the Sickest
I still need to see them live soon! Hopefully they'll hit Connecticut again on another tour, and my tat idea is a picture I found on Tumblr, it's the saw blade with the machines from the New Era of Corruption album within it, I also want to add barbed wire on the edge of it for Somatic, and attempt to get the veiled messiah from This is Exile included within the stars themselves so I can incorporate every album of theirs into my design, which will go on my upper right arm
These fuckers are brutal as fuck, and they remain top of my list. Since I first listened to Possession back in 2008 I was blown away. I'm also getting a Whitechapel tattoo. \m/
@sufferingnotknown it creates a thicker sound plus they have a lot of harmonies with rhythm behind it. Theyd either need 3 guitarists or a lot of prerecorded tracks
@lordzahr Genesis is my favorite album from them, I like how they went from Deathcore on "Doom" to Death Metal on "Genesis". Ruination was pretty good as well. I haven't heard the Red Chord in forever but from what I remember I like them.
I am a metal head and I love death metal and I know this is not death metal it is Deathcore I think that putting breakdowns in songs like these add the intesity and more brutal sounding of music. Now if its Deathcore vs Death Metal I would go with Death Metal but don't get me wrong I really like Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Carnifex, Oceano, As Blood Runs Black, and others. By the way Suffocation kicks ass!
While I think going so far as to get a tattoo in honor of a band is a bit much, I totally agree with the fact that there's nothing wrong with loving deathcore. Fuck dude, I listen to all sorts of metal. Whitechapel is just fucking good, plain and simple.
When ever I’m feeling down I always come back to this song, the raw energy these guys put out just lifts me up and makes me feel anything is possible, thank you whitechapel
So do I, We all luv The opening raw rift dont We?
Is anything still possible to you?
love the intro "EEEEYOOYOOOYOOYOOYOOO!!!"
CrowFly its just pure fucking hateful death
I don't think this is exile has a single decent track, they r all pure fucking gold
Kevin lane was a fucking beast of a drummer
@@carcher4525 he really was. Miss this era of the band.
The title track was my least favorite i always skipped it but the rest of the album was good
@@TrealFOET that was the first Whitechapel track I heard! Headbanger's ball back in like 2008 lol
Opening riff is one of the heaviest riffs of all time. Pure Evil.
You haven't heard many metal songs have you broskies...?

Best Whitechapel song imo.
FrozenTerror666 100%
For me i think its either i dementia or the elitist ones
@@ajvallery5569 what even is a "real fan"? That's so elitist.
@@bradhargis2261 you're so woke.
@@ajvallery5569 people who listen to black metal and core exist it's about what you enjoy not what others think.
Hes wearing a suffocation shirt nice to see that hes paying respect to the great suffocation
This video was recorded a few towns over from suffocation's birthplace, gotta show respect!
I reckon their (whitechapel's) death metal influences are great, sets them apart from a lot of other bands in their genre.
James Langlands thats probably why i like whitechapel even though i dislike most deathcore
Phil Bozeman is a big fan of 90s death metal
Caleb Bliss suffocation started in 1988, but that doesn't really matter cuz they were definitely mostly popular during the 90's
If I ever doubt Whitechapel are THE best Deathcore band ever, I come back to tracks like this.
1:46 is my favorite riff to headbang to. So sick.
Ahhhh this brings me back to high school...this album turned up on everyone's iTunes before graduation
Who's still jamming in 2k19 🤟
2k20 baby
Welcome from coronaville
A love of metal is a life-long journey. We all grow as fans and discover new metal genres as we listen for life.
Metal, is probably the only thing in my life that's never disappointed me.
"Never underestimate immortality... Becoming stronger every day." Affluent.
This album, Oceano's depths, and Acacia Strains continent were peak deathcore. Still listen to all 3 nonstop in 2024.
damn this upload is so quiet
8 years later and I still have this stuck in my head, thanks =)
I just love how these guys are so chill when they play, never nervous and stuff.
this song is brutal as hell.Phil's lows are very dark and demonic.enjoy this song very much.who agrees
3:35 Sub-Zero wins "Fatality." *Walks Away casually* I love WhiteChapel, The Saw is the law and we must abide!
the dude sounds just the same live as he does on album, gotta love white chapel...the best ever!!!
Might be my favourite Whitechapel track - shoes the full range of Phil's brilliant voice.
Phil has and always will be one of the best if not the best vocalist in the game.
I feel sorry for anyone who can’t appreciate the brilliance of this band.
Whitechapel is the best deathcore band in the world and I've see Whitechapel more than seven times, still wanna see them more and more. I never get tired of listen to WC.

Video filmed on LONG ISLAND!!! Let’s gooo
[Verse 1]
My eyes are slowly dilating pure white
Skin stretched as if about to tear
There's a wretched stench of rotting limbs!
Erect I am, from this smell
Pain, please end the pain
I submit to whoever is causing this pain!
In a sense I enjoy the agony
Subconsciously I am aroused, fuck!
[Hook x2]
By now I should be fucking dead
But these sacred grounds I still tread
Never underestimate immortality
[Verse 2]
My memory is slowly wallowing back!
I have the power of possession in my hands
Becoming stronger every step that I take
I will destroy what has done this to me
Human scum will abide by my words
This planet is doomed
[Bridge]
Pray for a savior to liberate your kind
Beg for peace
It will expire!
I am here
To seal your fucking fate!
Scum of the earth
You're all a fucking waste of life!
You're all a fucking waste!
[Verse 3]
No heretic will stop what is invincible
How could I thank you for your time?
My name will forever live inside those who appreciate
The absence of light and suffering!
No heretic will stop what is invincible
How could I thank you for your time?
I assure, everything, isn't what it seems to be
I assure, everything, isn't what it seems to be
[Outro]
Fuck your faith, fuck your kind, fuck your ways
And fuck your world!

@Googs360 I am a huge Wintersun fan. Jari does one hell of a job.
Easily the greatest band ever
Couldn't agree more
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE IMMORTALITY!
2:08 is where my melted grey matter began to ooze out of my ears.
idk anything about whitechapel, but I know that a voice like that needs to be in a death metal band. Those lows are bananas!!!
i saw them in san diego house of blues play this album all the way through for the 10 year anniversary. i was fucking sick.
@sufferingnotknown it creates a thicker sound plus they have a lot of harmonies with rhythm behind it. Theyd either need 3 guitarists or a lot of prerecorded tracks

Ruination was pretty good as well.

cause they are awsome thats why =]
YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!
2:13 How I feel about My Generation of Millennials also "Elitist Ones" really hits home to that same feeling.
most underrated song
I am a metal head and I love death metal and I know this is not death metal it is Deathcore I think that putting breakdowns in songs like these add the intesity and more brutal sounding of music. one of the most intense breakdowns ever
Just watched the Mark Of The Blade lyric video and it made me realize how much I missed old Whitechapel...
Damn good :) .
Still the best song ever.
I like To All That are Dead the best
me love some chapel
While I think going so far as to get a tattoo in honor of a band is a bit much, I totally agree with the fact that there's nothing wrong with loving deathcore. Fuck dude, I listen to all sorts of metal. Whitechapel is just fucking good, plain and simple.
