My uncle saw these guys here in OKC and there was a church there with their youth group. He said they had a prayer circle right before the band hit the stage and once the band started killing it the church group started moshing and rocking out like everyone else! That's fuckin metal!
Hopefully it made the kids think a bit more critically later on in life
The venue in my hometown in Missouri was really amazing for a while and was having stacked lineups every single week with the best metal bands. Through the eyes of the dead, as blood runs, black, job for a cowboy, etc. Whitechapel was booked to play but the venue was funded and owned by a bunch of local churches and a bunch of the moms ended up reading the lyrics before the show and boycotted it. Whenever White chapel got on stage they said that they can't play or the venue would get shut down. There was never a good show there again

This, to this day, one of Whitechapel's best albums, hands down. This and Somatic Defilement paved a way for them. They need to get back on this track. This shit has such power it's fucking insane.

The Anarchist deathcore has punk influences...I prefer it actually, but death metal is pretty great as well. An example of death metal would be Amon Amarth. I highly recomend you give them a listen, and you can really hear the difference

Deathcore is more a mix of Death Metal and Metalcore. Logan recommended to you a band that, at least in my opinion, is not the best band to try and show someone what death metal is all about...Try bands more like old school Cryptopsy or The Faceless' second album Planetary Duality. Both of those are some pretty brutal, yet technical stuff.
Logan Knowles Amon Amarth is Death/viking metal. BUT if I would recommend a death metal band it would be like Cannibal Corpse or Dying Fetus. But Amon amarth Is a amazing band. But i must agree with Dreginy Let's Plays

grindcore and deathcore * slight cringe * are completely unrelated grindcore emerged in the mid to late eighties along side death metal and 2nd wave black metal grindcore fuses elements of old school death meta with crossover thrash, thrash metal, hardcore punk and maybe a few other stray influences bands like the lyrics are extremely though provoking and premote intelligence and are strongly grounded in politics, humanity society inner conflict the music its self is extremely harsh, abrasive, abrupt and chaotic the is an extreme amount of distortion to be found in grindcore and a strong emphasis on blast beats fast riffing pioneers and bands such as : napalm death, repulsion, insect warfare, rotten sound, nasum, agoraphobic nosebleed, exhumed, wormrot, margudergrind, pig destroyer, fuck the facts, brutal truth the kill etc (some of those were deathgrind)

I like a lot of music but any type of metal I'll listen to. I like bands from Bleeding Through to a band from Ireland called Primordial. There's something about metal that makes me feel good or alive. While I see somewhat of need for sub genres I just call it metal/hardcore/punk. Now there are some bands I'll listen to that don't necessarily get me moving, it's only sometimes that they do move me or I sing along with them. Anyways, I always like having conversations with fellow metal heads because we could learn from each other, that's what makes us unique. But other than that keep banging your head(s) and move to the groove.
