- Driving and heard a grinding noise, then my window fell down and stopped working. Did some research and figured it was the window regulator, but unfortunately there was no "how to" videos for my make and model, so I made my own for all of you! enjoy.

Thanks a million, I pulled the door panel off to replace the power lock actuator then realized I had no idea where to go from there.
This same process worked great for me on my 2008 Town & Country, it's nice to have the drivers side power lock working again, but what a pain.

Tasked performed on my 2010 Town & Country. Perfect no Frills video. I was able to complete the job in one event and refer back to the video and see exactly any issues on reassembly. My wife is thrilled. Robert, you ought to consider doing more videos.

The feeling of being strong-armed is the feeling I got from Chuck Patterson Dodge in Chico, CA when I visited them about the regulator that went up on the front driver's side window. The cost to replace it was $582.00! Lesson Learned.

Thanks for posting this! I just used it to repair a 2008 Dodge Avenger. The setup is pretty much exactly the same. I was able to do it without removing the latch assembly my unhooking the assembly over the lock after unscrewing the lock knob. This was a huge help! Thank you!
Awesome job. Did my driver's side today using your video. Worked great. There were two rods to unclip at the door latch/lock. Other than that, pretty much the same. Thank you for taking the time to make the video.

Patrick Dean You’re welcome. Yeah, sadly this video was my second time replacing the window regulator. Since then, I’ve replaced the driver and passenger again 🤦🏼♂️
Robert Echols One question. When trying to secure the glass to the plastic clips on the tracks did you encounter an issue where the front one snapped into position ok, but the rear one would not? If so did you find any way to adjust the pulleys or balance them to even them out? I replaced mine yesterday, about 4 hours, and ran into this during assembly. E-mailed manufacturer and they weren't really helpful.

Great video. Successfully replaced mine today,couldn't have done without your video. Only issue I had was I couldn't detach whatever was on the latch side holding the panel in. But I was able to slip the rails behind and do it in place.

@@robertechols1562 is the carrier compatible with the 2011 Avenger? If yes, the place I purchased it at, had it for 30 bucks (2nd use of course, but saves you money) And lesson learned here is that I ask my kids not to let the window roll all the way down. Stop the window before it even reaches all the way down.
Thank you for a very straight forward, easy to understand without all the BS lots of others include in their help videos. I was a Mopar tech for 20+ years but got out in 2000 so when I took the door panel off our 2008 T&C I was a bit intimidated by the inner plastic piece. I also learned you don't have to repl. the motor unless you want to. On the earlier models it was a PITA to only repl. the regulator. Thanks Again!
Thank you for making the video. Saved me disassembly time. All was well until i tried to replace the driver side door lock linkage. 2 hours of trying to fit that rod in the hole. Found an easy fix. Put the rod in the lock mechanism before you install it . take it loose on the top end then you can SEE where the upper connection is made thru the top of the window. made for an easy fix. FYI there is a purple and purple with yellow wire with a plug that is NOT connected to anything in the door . i spent time looking to where to plug it in .

Great video! Thanks. A tip for holding the window up is to use wedges pushed downward in the window slot. Any downward slipping tightens the wedge instead of loosening it.

One other thing worth mentioning is that once the window lift is raised up to meet the while plastic clips, the motor doesn't have enough power to push the window all the way into the clips so I lowered the window a little and pushed down on the edge. There was a loud click and they were both seated in the holes.

Thank you for this how to video... My wifes Routan had the window drop the drivers side a couple days ago. Watched your video a couple times and was able to install a new regulator in just over 2 hours. The drivers side had an extra rod with a white clip for the door key and the clip that you pointed out as the blue one was orange on mine. I should have paid more attention to securing the window too... had it drop a couple times. Very odd design compared to others regulator setups
but beats the heck out of rivets. Thanks again for a great video.
How did you remove the panel on your Routan? I don't see bolts on my Routan like in this video where he is removing bolts behind the door handles to remove the panel.

Hint: It has two clips to undo on a 2012 town and country for the door lever. One is Yellow and the Other is White. Thanks again.

Well mine lasted 10 years before it broke but you saved me a few hundred bucks still! thanks for the vid. Dorman replacement regulator was just over 40 on Amazon, $20 cheaper than anywhere local.

How did you take off the Routan panel? This video shows two bolts to remove, which I can't see on my Routan. There isn't a bolt to remove behind either handle like in this video. I also have a 2011 Routan.

No head tricks. Just shoved a lot of cardboard into the crease and used a little tape. Was deathly afraid of breaking the window on accident which would have defeated the purpose of the DIY project.

Thanks for the video... I've had the drivers side of my 2011 VW Routan (same as T&C) fail twice before and the passenger side just failed earlier this week. This video made it a good bit easier this time around. This must be a very common failure in these minivans!

How did you removed the panel on your Routan? I don't see the bolts behind the door panels like in this video with the T&C.

Robert, thank you so much! This video saved me a ton of money by helping me do this repair myself on our 2012 Grand Caravan. The steps were nearly identical - just a couple small differences behind the circular, rubber cover.
Also a tip... If your window is equipped with auto-up and it doesn't work after this repair, refer to the reset procedure found on this site: www.autoglassreplacementquote.com/door-glass/window-recalibration-reset-reprogramming-sequences/
