Chrysler Town and Country Window Regulator Replace
Driving and heard a grinding noise, then my window fell down and stopped working. Did some research and figured it was the window regulator, but unfortunately there was no "how to" videos for my make and model, so I made my own for all of you! enjoy.

"Just use your head" I am laughing so hard! Legend xD Thank you for the video!
Thanks Robert! Loved the video, so easy to follow along. The install on my 2012 T&C was made much easier with your straight to the point, "No-Frills" approach.
Remember to never purchase an aftermarket variant. They will fail within a year.
Good time to insulate the door.
Saludos mi estimado estaba en un aprieto sobre el vidrio De mi camioneta pero gracias a tus vídeos pude arreglarlo gracias y saludos
Subbing if for nothing else than the window falling. My man kept it too real not cutting that out 😂
Gotta do what you gotta do lol
@@robertechols1562 I managed to get it all back in without it falling lol. Just gotta hook everything back up now. Thanks for the video man.
Técnico impirico..y mudo...
Really helpful video had window regulator replaced within a hour thank you!
Thanks for this video my man! I had no issues whatsoever replacing my window regulator thanks to this. No confusing rambling, just straight to the point with good camera angles. Love it.
Thanks Man! I agree, rambling doesn’t help anyone. Just show me how you did it, and I can do it from there, that’s how I feel lol
Great write-up. Fixed my 2010 VW Routan. Thanks!
Thanks so much for the video! I did it myself! Saved $255.
Glad I could help 👍🏼
who invented this stupid construction must sit in the electric chair as the enemy of all mankind. this is mockery
Tasked performed on my 2010 Town & Country. Perfect no Frills video. I was able to complete the job in one event and refer back to the video and see exactly any issues on reassembly. My wife is thrilled. Robert, you ought to consider doing more videos.
Thank you for this video. You probably shaved ay least an hour off the time it took me to replace this.
Thank you very much.
Don’t be afraid to talk! Lol Thank you so much, I was able to fix this myself thanks to your video.
MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE METAL DOOR LATCH BACK UP WHEN REINSTALLING THE DOOR PANEL!! If possible it would be a good idea to remind people to put the metal arm that latches to the outdoor handle back up when reinstalling the door panel. I neglected to do this and had to remove the entire panel including the window to correct this. A simple mention would have saved me a lot of extra work and stress. I hope this post saves someone the same drama, as this is literally the only thing that can’t be fixed without removing everything.
Thank you for making the video. Saved me disassembly time. All was well until i tried to replace the driver side door lock linkage. 2 hours of trying to fit that rod in the hole. Found an easy fix. Put the rod in the lock mechanism before you install it . take it loose on the top end then you can SEE where the upper connection is made thru the top of the window. made for an easy fix. FYI there is a purple and purple with yellow wire with a plug that is NOT connected to anything in the door . i spent time looking to where to plug it in .
And just think, some engineer somewhere got paid big bucks to engineer this train wreck. This is absolutely the dumbest design I've ever encountered. Thanks for the video.. Now I tackle my customers vehicle that I seriously undercharged. 🤮
Hey chief thank you for your very detailed video. I had to replace the passenger window regulator on my 09 VW Routan today. Got the part for a nice price from 1A Auto. Keep up the great videos.
4:21 "use flathead and unclip window" - unfortunately his head is in the way... :(
What year model was this, sadly does not look like our 2003 model
2011
Thank you so much for this! You saved the day. My grandfather and I were so pissed by the time we found your video...youre a lifesaver!
THANK YOU!! Didn't want to break, much...
Thank you. I replaced my 2012 Dodge Caravan regulator assembly. It took me WAY to long, but I got it done.
Thank you,was very helpful,great job
This video still helps me 🤦🏼♂️ Driving to AutoZone now because I have to replace the driver window for the 4th time in 4 years 🤷🏼♂️
@@robertechols1562 I am just now replacing mine for the 4th time! Driver side each time. I have had all kinds of issues with this van. Thanks for the video too! I first watched it when replacing it the first time. Now watching it for a quick refresh.
Thank you Robert, one of the best "how to" videos on you tube. Great job, and thank you for helping me with my diver's door regulator.
Sean Paul Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks Robert! Changed it out this morning using your step by step video. Couldn't have done it without you. Dealership quoted me over $400, cost me $57 for the regulator. Alleluia!
If it does fall use ur head😂👍
alphapimp gotta be able to improvise 😂
I just got done doing this, thx for the help man👍
Thank you!!! So much!! Dude you rock. Wish I could like this video more than once. So detailed funny and clear. Was able to do the job like a pro thanks to you wish you the best
Looks easier than the VW Routan im working on. Damn plastic piece with a guide attached broke while trying to figure out how to remove it from the large plastic cover. Anyone know where I can get a replacement?
Mean Man dang, that sucks!
One hint: make sure all the pins that hold the panel to the door are actually in the panel, before reinstalling it. When I pried off the panel, quite a few of these pins were stuck in the door, not in the panel. A lot easier to do when the panel is disconnected...
Great video bro!! Thanks a lot best video on UA-cam for window regulator!! Thanks again
Great video. Thanks for doing this first
Thank you!
Why aren't you speaking. What a waste of video.
Adam Herrera this Video is for the hearing impaired, unless you missed the subtitles.
I didn't miss that. What about the people who can hear?
Adam Herrera I’m assuming they are not also visually impaired.
Thank you. Your video saved me $. Great job.
Thank you for the video bro. Wife and I had fun changing out her drivers side regulator. You were a big help. We had our own version of fast forward getting the bolts out, impact driver.
Just push it off a cliff and be one with it.
Thanks for the video! Needed to remove door for a key lock issue. This helped guide me a bit. Thanks for taking the time to make the video!
William Dennis glad to assist
plastic ...thanks chrysler.lmao
I was looking about Panel Removal for Jeep Cherokee, its seems similar for my car. But also seems it's not easy task. Thanks for sharing this video, very helpful.
Farah Mohammed I would also think it should be similar, but I’m not sure. Good luck 👍🏼
We should all donate to this man. Admit it, his video helped you fix your window.
Leo C I could use the $, because this exact window broke again yesterday🤦🏼♂️ Thanks Chrysler!!
@@robertechols1562 is the carrier compatible with the 2011 Avenger? If yes, the place I purchased it at, had it for 30 bucks (2nd use of course, but saves you money) And lesson learned here is that I ask my kids not to let the window roll all the way down. Stop the window before it even reaches all the way down.
Anyone got any recommendations on how to get the get replacement hardware or where to find the sizes for the bolts/screws? The dope I bought it from had taken out the regulator and motor including the screws.
Ra Kh Hardware store, or the dealership might sell the exact ones.
@@robertechols1562 Didn't know the exact sizes/threads. Ended up going to the yard and taking them off a junker, the regulator and motor looked like they were in good shape too.
Thank you for this tutorial on how to switch out the regulator. Its been of great help! Thanls again!!👍
Tanx..Great Video
Good looking out bro
Joe Nae 👊🏻 ✌🏻
Thank you so much. I did the driver's side...the wiring is a little trickier, but your video really showed me the way.
Not sure who would give this a thumbs down, but you saved me a lot of time figuring it out myself. Thanks!! 👍
Freedom Essentials yeah, I figured they maybe don’t like my hat?! Lol
how do you know its the regulator before taking the door a part?
desmond atkins usually the window will fall all the way down into the inside of the door after hearing a “snap” which is the cable breaking. They are poorly made, and mostly plastic, so they don’t last very long. Usually before it falls, it will start to grind when you roll it up or down, until it eventually breaks.
