Rust proofing and blackening fasteners

I'm trying to not get sucked into a nut and bolt restoration. So, this is my attempt and cleaning and protecting fasteners.
Zinc plating would be the most durable. But hanging each individual fastener is not within me. This process allows bulk output.
I should have done more corrosion cycles, but I think it'll be OK.
I also got lazy and used a vibratory tumbler instead of my sand blaster. The sand blaster would have been a better choice.
And, maybe a different soak oil. WD would have been a better choice vs Mystery Oil as it has some detergent value.
