    I really love this series. I might get my keys in June so I'm looking around for ideas. Hello there! Aww thank you 🥰 Yes, that's right! If no mid/long term plans to stay then lesser the carpentry the better! We share more about space planning considerations here: s.lemon8-app.com/al/yNfhrUrYQR

      It’s kinda short sighted to hav less carpentry even if u planned on selling after MOP(what’s MOP, lol, sorry not local) , buyers will rather hv a very nice renovated kitchen with lots of useable cabinets than less , so the selling price will reflects what’s incurred in the Reno.

    • @nickdisney3233
      @nickdisney3233 8 місяців тому

      @@david888a There's a rule in SG where you aren't able to sell a house for a certain number of years (MOP). And usually, most buyers would want the house as untouched as possible because they dont have to pay so much to hack away carpentry or to plaster up a wall if you hacked it down. It's very rare to find a buyer that has the same exact style as yours, from what i hear, and would usually just start from square one. So they would offer you less because they can argue that they need more money to redo the house.
      And I do have carpentry for kitchen. I'm just not hacking down my walls or building an arch or building a curved bench like their videos, as beautiful as it is.

    • @david888a
      @david888a 8 місяців тому

      @@nickdisney3233 in a house,the selling points r nicely renovated kitchen and bath/washroom. most of the time,the selling price reflects that, bare bone price n renovated price n it’s up to the buyers. I would think a nicely thought out renovated hdb flat will generates more interest n buyer can simply moves in n don’t hv to spend time dealing with dusty n messy re-construction. JMO

    Just a thought, the wood panel shown in 4:48 could be a simple drop down wood pannel that extends up to the cabinet above to also double up as a guard to keep things in place. That way even if you change fridge dimensions, the height of the wood panel can easily be adjusted and u can have as good as no clearance between the wood pannel and the fridge for an even tighter aesthetic look

      Hello there! Glad you found it informative 😃 So far so good - we're not heavy cooks so it serves us well! It's similar to other chimney hoods just that it has unusual aesthetics. Then again, all these hoods are recycling in nature (ie the air is recirculated within your kitchen) so if your layout permits, try to see if you can duct and vent it towards the windows to the outside world) 😉

      Heya Reuben! 😃 Aha ya needa see the design in the instruction manual and prep.. Some brands like Brandt have the outlet just above the undermount so won't have this issue. As for the duct.. cannot exhaust it outside the window but it can end just before your window (where your top carpentry ends) 😅 but may not be nice if yard faces another neighbour yard..

      Hello! Yes, you are right! Ventilation hood are those that duct all the way outside like those in food courts. For homes, most hoods are recycling hood so they all recirculate air from the vicinity and don't really help.. duct or without duct 😅 The issue with parents' hood was that the carpenter simply used carpentry to cover the outlet hole so the hood was essentially useless. A duct would allow the air to at least traverse some distance away from the input so that it could better circulate (hot air rises, cold air sinks) and not keep recirculating within the same spot...

    how come u got both dryer and steigen?

    • @thesuakus
      @thesuakus  Рік тому

      Hello! They both serve different purposes for us 😀. Most of the time, we use the Steigen which mirrors natural air drying. This is useful for diverse material types.
      For laundry emergencies or when we are leaving the house and want laundry to be washed and dried when we return, we just throw in the Samsung washer-dryer and go out. No worries about moist clothing stuck in the washer any more 😀 However, the dryer is not suitable for many material types and shrunk some of our clothes. So we now use it for old/home clothes, bedsheets, towels, etc.

    renovating should be hassle free, but because of a lot of experienced/inexperienced ID that always think that they are good and always go with their norm trend and push sell their concept. And if it doesn't out they will just add in extra charges till you would be thinking at the back of your head why does a simple cupboard or drawer add on would cost 300 dollars extra and giving the customers the same reason we heard over centuries ; labor cost, material cost, disposal cost , etc etc... frustrating to deal with them.
