It does a great job of showing that the Shock Trooper is properly alien. Concepts that are fundamental to us are baffling to 'you are the host' who is trying as best they can to understand.
@@JamesTobiasStewart I do enjoy the character, though i wish it was a xenian because race x is a mess.
@@skullzans They could've been like a Master Race to the Xen Army, Like having the Gene Worm being a general to the Nihilanth. I mean the name "Race X" has the letter "X" which could maybe mean "Xen", But oh well.

This is beautiful. I require more of Race X shenaniganery, most especially Pit Drone. He is precious and I love him. Also Trooper. I shudder with excitement at the possibility of Mr. Friendly. I am pre-emptively horrified by how you will lampoon the noble Vortigaunt.
I know this came out 10 days ago, but I feel like I've been watching it constantly for at least a month.
You do raise an important question: Where WAS Gus during the events of Half-Life 2? Surely a man who is forklift certified would have no trouble escaping black mesa.
He was probably at White Forest doing what he does best, operating his forklift for the betterment of mankind
He arived to white forrest hours before gordon went to nova prospect
The animation style is so good, crazy how far Alfa has come since the beginning of TTS
Don't forget Karl, Garrot and VindicareAssassin
It's definitely a team effort and you can see the passion in it. I'll take a cheap web video passionately made over a billion doller Hollywood production without an ounce of love put into it.
The animation has gotten amazing for simple rigs they have made them more expressive and fluent after TTS.
They have a profuctions logo now, holy crap
Ogre popenang is a cool name
Honestly there is no nerdy franchise this group hasn't made more amazing.
Wow, Goombah, I never would've thought that I would see you in this comment section! Thank you for your research, your videos are very interesting.
Wow imma be real with you chief, your one of the last people who i woulda guessed would be here

Untrue, they have not touched Transformers yet. But otherwise, agreed.
Did not know your half life fans boy
The weird shifts in animation gives this the vibe of animation collabs, where each contributor has their own animation style/medium.
Reminds me of alien chaos
Gus never has the same expression, the variety of hilarious shapes his face morphs each time is wonderful. These are all great characters

I love how Gus is helpful and polite to Trooper despite dying of thirst

Pit Drone is my absolute favorite character. It's adorable! And its conviction to summon the gene-worm is inspiring!

Pit Drone sort of reminds me of GIR
PO TA TER is precious and we love them.
Trooper is my new favourite alien. He is just the right combination of giddily curious and lethally ignorant.
It is incredible how far theses visuals have come, and how unique they feel
The push GW gave them by making the team source their own art has turned out great
It's kind of wholesome that even though Mub Mub (the Trooper) has generalised anxiety, he still saves Mr Human Guyman from CP.
Earndil's choice of un-natural medicae is still paying off, even now in different universes. Now THAT is some insane metagaming!

I honestly am genuienly glad that The Art and Animation on this Channel has been extremely improved from playing Puppets to masterpieces like this ever since Hunter: The Parenting
Not gonna lie, a Vortigaunt wearing a coat with a headcrab on it’s shoulder is probably the most badass thing I’ve ever seen. Now I wish we got a HL2 fan game where we interact with a Vort of that appearance.
And now we finally get to see who he is in the other video.
Why stop there? Why not a HL2 fan game where you play as the vort with a head crab companion on his shoulder?
I absolutely love the style of animation you guys have chosen as of late.
Cheers!
It's the weird combination of fluid and uncanny yet it bleeds G-mod-style puppet comedy and goofy animation. Basically it's the perfect animation style that matches Alfabusa and their humor.
Somewhere I can hear Ross Scott screaming about Ninjas and how the "cops" are trying to kill him. (Spec Ops and Metro Cops)
I could definitely see Mike and Dave making a cameo appearance in this series.
Genuinely, one of the most enjoyable half life like, fan side stories i've ever sen: not only does it have my old favorite gus and an ALIEN X TROOPER?!? but the humor is the really wonderful combination of your usual shenanigans and the generally morbid but silly world of half life, so excellent work!!
Damn, those classic HEV sounds when Gus drinks the "Canal Sauce"... The Geiger crackles, that *[TOXIN DETECTED]* warning...
This is that _good_ shit, man, and I love it!
*EDIT:* Same with the Civil Protection officer's death noise and that Health Station noise from the Blue Liquid.
don't forget [VITAL SIGNS DROPPING] when he drinks the salt water
I absolutely love Trooper KSS KYUR MUB MUB KA MUB BLIS KA and PO TA TER. This whole animation just has so many nods to Half-Life as a whole from the lore to the sound effects. I'm really happy you guys are going back to your roots with this one and i look forward to more of your content in the future, especially if it involves Trooper KSS KYUR MUB MUB KA MUB BLIS KA.
I absolutely love this, Gus perfectly matches how I felt playing Half Life 2 for the first time. Scared, confused, and in desperate need of hydration while exploring the combine controlled wasteland that earth has become.

"If Gordon Freeman had a text-to-speech device"...

Freeman- 'yeah I talk a lot of shit, but thats because I get stuff DONE.'
Big-E- ... ... ... hello my fellow scientist, how would you like to become a self- teleporting immortal warrior? Its not magic. Dont call it magic.
I allways tough him more of a loquendo type of guy
You mean "If Gordon Freeman's HEV suit had a text-to-speech device" and the voice is like the Emperor's text-to-speech device which is also the origin story of the STC text-to-speech device.
I mean, Ross Scott is always down to lend a voice for collaborative projects. I think all they have to do is contact him and get some voice lines.
I desperately hope this continues. I love every character shown already...especially Pit Drone and Shock Trooper.

I was not prepared to hear Pi Brain's voice coming out of an alien's mouth, but I can't say it was an unpleasant surprise.
Since this is probably gonna be a series, am I the only one hoping for a Gman cameo? He doesn’t need to speak or even do anything, but just having him the background would be a really fun treat for observant viewers.
the way these guy do things i feel we will get some dialouge from the gman himself and i feel if this series does well they will have a season 2 cause they are trying to branch out from hunter the parenting cause they want more series with different ips cause last time with if the emperor had a text to speech box gw copyright striked it and told them no more making so by them having multiple ips if one series gets treated the same way they can fall back on to another

Can I just gush about how fantastic you guys are at writing characters? Every single character in your series' is memorable in their own way, while also cleverly sharing parts of their lives through subtle hints in dialogue. I love alfa and crews new animation style. The TTS popsicle characters was pretty funny but the…. Non Euclidean animation style is just great. It’s got the same stiffness from the tts days but the ability for characters to bend into horrific love craft monsters is great.
