I’d love a good orange scented soap 🤞🥰

Interesting to see fragrance added before the lye. I’m sure I tried it once with a naughty fragrance and it seized as soon as the lye was added and I haven’t tried it again since. Just wondered what your thoughts were on the science behind adding FO before lye? Also, did your lilac hold up? I’m still hunting for a good floral 😊

It's just something I do because then I can blend it well with the oils before adding the lye so that I don't need to blend more than necessary when the lye is added. It also helps if using Kaolin, as the fragrance can incorporate/bind to that a little first to help the fragrance stick more. Not sure if that actually helps, but seems common practice :) Lilac was from White Rose Essentials and yes it's held up well.

I’ve had a look at White Rose FOs and they seem to have 2 types, standard and full strength. Have you tried both, any difference with soaping? Just wondering whether it’s worth getting some testers in the full strength or not 😊
