No, the tests only need to be done once, as MAFs lab will have deemed the products preservative effective in a range of temperatures, so as long as it's made as per their CSPR and instructions, it should be stable. But, as you mentioned, it is good to test each batch yourself. With the dipslides I link to, then you'd get a result on the yellow side within 24-48 hours and the Yeast and mould takes longer, sometimes up to a couple of weeks to form if there is any.

@@revegacosmetics thanks, this is really helpful…I will still test my product for my own peace of mind, but grateful to know I’m legally compliant 😊. It’s a wonderful recipe with some flexibility as to which emulsifier to use…so I now need to order the other two to test which gives the best skin feel. The glyceryl stearate & PEG 100 with cetearyl turned out well…but there was a little bit of soaping, so I’m going to try Ecomulse with Cetyl alcohol, and maybe the GS a& PEG 100 again with Cetyl to see if that makes a difference 😀. I can only seem to get Ecomulse from Bay House with a minimum order spend of £50…so time to order more SCI powder 🙈😂

I'd imagine so as long as it melts. I've not used the granular version, so can't say for sure. Maybe try melting separately before adding.

pH can affect viscosity in these types of products. Next time try adding less citric at a time and stop when it’s at an acceptable pH whilst still the viscosity you want. Viscosity changes can happen due to lots of factors, so it’s best to experiment with how much salt you add, pH and the fragrance and any additions you use. I test things one by one to isolate the issue and go from there.

Thank you...I added 2% salt and 0.5% Citric acid....but I will try to add salt in the last after adding all the ingredients and citric acid too...then will see..how the results come.... And one more thing...in another batch, all the things were good like viscosity and all but after 4-5 days...it's got thin again What may be the problem?​@@revegacosmetics

Honestly, I've not had issues with it. I'd say to use the max recommended percent for the product your are making. The scent is a bit of a challenge if you don't like the smell of almonds. It's worth checking out ISCA cosmetic testing as they have some preservatives that may help you.

No, as it doesn’t gel the oil like the cera bellina. It would be a different product.

It’s definitely helping a lot, but you do need to reapply a fair bit.

I wouldn't myself. This isn't meant as a decongestant or to cure hayfever. It simply acts as a barrier to the pollen.

You can replace it with oil if you prefer. I add it because it makes it slightly less greasy.

@@VioletFlameTherapies it depends on what you class as natural. Have a Google of it as it explains a bit more about it. It was previously synthetically made, but you can get naturally derived versions. You can replace with any oil you like, but lighter, faster absorbing oils like camellia would be my choice if I wasn’t using an ester. It depends what you want the end product to feel like. Taking out the ester changes this product quite a lot.

You should be fine to use this, but remember these are formulas made for YT and haven't been tested formally. I also can't make any claims about whether it would help or not, but by all means make some for yourself an test it :)

Firstly hi! Second, why would you want herbs and essential oils? You can add if you want, but in my experience, they can cause more allergies and I'd always be careful with EOs on the face, especially around the eyes. This isn't like a bug spray deterrent where the EO's deter the pollen, it works by the pollen sticking on the balm rather than going up your nose or into your eyes.

@@revegacosmetics -Hi- herbs and a light dose of EO's will help open up the sinuses. Example, eucalyptus or peppermint. Again, lightly. Why? Because when I get swollen sinuses from hay fever I get dragged down and tired and sometimes even a headache from the oxygen not getting through because of the nasal swelling. Eucalyptus, tea tree and peppermint open you up and give more energy. Sorry if I came across as hard before, I didn't mean to come across as hard,just curious. Also, I love your channel.

I can't say it smells of much and I've not noticed a citrus scent with Lumorol either.

Yes. There are companies who offer an RP service whereby they act as responsible person for you. I’d recommend speaking to Michael at MAF, Kam @thecosmeticregulator or ceway.eu

Separation can occur when you’ve not calculated the amount of surfactants properly, use incompatible ingredients or can be triggered by the wrong pH or fragrance oils. The best thing to do is get a batch stable with just surfactants, water and preservative by adjusting pH and use that as your ‘control’ then experiment with that formulation to add additions, you’ll track down the culprit in no time. @@amybarber9870 No, just register and upload your products to the SCPN before selling and you're good. You don't need to wait for a reply or anything. Just remember that the EU and UK are separate portals now, so if you sell to the EU too, you'll need an RP in a EU country and to do the EU portal entries.
