Thanks,

a good tip would be don't let your weight distribute backwards
I have that fk problem
Me too,
unless you land fakey or do back boards lol
Its more important to keep weight centered, shoulder square, legs LOOSE. Tight legs are alot of what causes people to slip out. I mean its wieght imbalance too but also the fact alot of people are to stiff
Thank you, your picture is so professional lol
I learned my tricks standing still. Now I'm just practicing then while moving.
Ye you gotta learn everything twice, thats why you learn em moving not standing still bro lol
Same w me bro
@@donkeypunch5138 I have to politely disagree. You don't _have_ to learn them moving straight away. Some tricks, like fakie shove it are easier moving than standing still. Same goes probably for any 180 in my opinion. But stuff like kick flips or heel flips require a solid technique in terms of the flick. You're not going to land the trick any faster if you're moving versus standing still when the flick is still terrible. On the other hand, if you're able to learn doing ollie moving as early as possible, all of your tricks will benefit from that for sure.
@@PHeMoX true, some tricks are easier to learn while rolling but learning to stomp tricks in general I would say is easier stationary. Its easier to train your eyes to catch the board at the right time stationary than tryna focus on balance, speed and landing all at the same time. Im thinking from a beginners pov btw. After a while you get so used to being on a board that you just try everything rolling. But as a beginner I wouldnt expect them to learn kickflips or heelflips rolling. Im talking beginner tricks. If your doing fakie anything im assuming you got it down in your regular stance already so. that balance is already there. 180's can be done stationary and it in my opinion is better to learn this way because your not gonna be able to pivot as the last 15 degree like you can rolling. To do a 180 stationary takes more body power and if your getting a full 180 from stationary no pivot, your easily gonna nail em rolling and then you can smooth em out and add some style to it. All while not opening yourself up to unnecessary injury like a tweaked ankle or a tore ACL.
The problem is my back foot it needs to land
I had a dream where Aaron gave came to my city and gave me a free SMS DVD and skated with me. It was pretty cool.
That's awesome!
lol this is great
I had a dream like that where I meet him but he wouldn't take a picture with me
@@marclister1779 I had a dream where Aaron broke into my house in the middle of the night and stabbed me with his nose. Then he beat me up with his skateboard yelling FIRST TRYYY!!!
10/10 experience
@@jonahk1593 im jealous
i have been skating for about 1.5 years, and i have been (semi) practicing kickflips for a year. about 3 days ago i thought that " hey, Aaron says heelflips are easier, i should try them". now i got them moving :) byt i can do all the other tricks rolling aswell ( ollie, fs 180, bs 180, pop shuve and so on). THANK YOU AARON!!! :D
I learned heel flips waaaaay before I had kick flips down consistently.. Same thing in Nollie. Nollie heels = SEXY and I land em 7/10 times. I try to throw a nollie kick and im suprised the cops dont show up tryna take my board from me theyre so bad lol
I'm learning a still shovit. I'm teaching my brain to do it moving. This advice was V useful thanks!
You're welcome. Keep practicing
@@brailleskateboarding pls can u tell me how to not slip of your skateboard while doing tricks please cause that's my problem pls pls help mr
I started skating yesterday and i landed the shuvit on grass today. I try landing it on concrete but i get scared that im gonna get on the board slip with it and fall.
@@sussydababy9858 same here!, have you managed to land it on the ground yet?
@@ayeswayy811 yoooo i started skating yst and i skated when i was little but omg its like im learning in a diff body, im getting used to my new weight and when i ollie i go sooooo much higher since i have more power!!!
I always learn my tricks moving. I learned my ollie standing still and then had to relearn it so I just learned the rest of the tricks moving.
EDIT: Also moving doesnt mean its going to hurt more if your fall. Actually the faster you go the easier it is to just roll your fall off( go fetal position touching your chest with your chin and covering your head with ur arms.Fall on the side roll like a log).Specially just learning tricks on flat most falls dont even hurt. Most painful thing that can happen learning a trick on flat its a shiner or board to the nuts. Go fast and commit.
Or going really fast and then landing primo
Patrick Campbell yep
I tried doing a shove it while moving yesterday's any and i did a shiner and now I got a big bruise
That’s a bit much just to fall
"Actually the faster you go the easier it is to just roll your fall off( go fetal position touching your chest with your chin and covering your head with ur arms.Fall on the side roll like a log)."
Being comfortable on your board is how to land tricks. Aaron has always said in the past that he highly recommends skating a LOT before even trying to learn to ollie because it is so important.
One thing that I haven't seen Aaron teach (maybe he has, I don't know) is a list of things to learn before your first ollie. Learn to stand on your board, learn to push. Learn to carve. Learn to foot brake, learn to tail brake. Learn to jump on your stationary board from a walking and then running start. Learn to kickturn. Learn to transfer the board from your hand to a roll at increasing speeds. Learn to caveman onto flat. Maybe even learn to do all of this switch before even making a serious attempt to ollie.
What else am I missing?
Too long didn't read. I'll just try doing a kickflip first 😂
@@pugforce2689literally me, I be hitting them sometimes too😅
thanks for this i gave up skateboarding a while ago and since I've found braille its made skateboarding for me a lot easier. So thanks Aaron.

I feel like being rushed while moving, and that i cant focus at the same time.
Moving Trick Progression:
0.5 mph/km/h
1 mph/km/h
2 mph/km/h
3 mph/km/h
4 mph/km/h+ and so on
And for You Aaron a VS video on Flatbars VS Circle Rails
+Dare Obidi how to measure the speed?
+Aryanto Karnali The average walking speed is between 3 and 4 mph. so I guess if you're going half the speed you walk at, your going at the first speed.
Just wanted to say thanks for making this video. I just started skating and have been practicing for a month now. It did occur to me that I could ollie standing still but doing it whilst moving is an entirely different thing. I knew it was my head playing tricks on me but glad to hear it coming from you!
2:10 Blew my mind how much sense he made, this really helped
Lol
Lol
Lol
He just bamboozled me
hello, welli stopedskating about 2 years ago.yesterday i moved my ass to a skateshop and just bought a new board... i used to learn tricks standing . now i am practicing a heelflip wille moving and did not land it ones.
i fall almost at all the tryes . and it gives me more confidence to keep doing it... glad to be back on board
Im from west virginia we have little to no smooth places to skate, i learned all of my moves standing still. but not now, ever since i started watching your videos i do it moving even if it takes longer, the harder the work the better the payoff
I learn to do tricks while staying still but once I try to do it while moving, I mess everything up and can never preform the trick. Thanks to this video I have a different perspective on how to do it and it has made it a lot easier to do tricks while moving. Thank you.
I just landed my first shuvet while moving because of this video thanks!
I learned python programming while sitting still.
Funny 😐
Sudo -kickflip
I programmed a python to sit still
Now learn how to do it while moving
Wow that's bold !
the ground moving, you staying still bit.... that's basically Einstein's theory of relativity, just if you needed a TDIL
Cam W I was litteralh about to comment that mad soon as u touch the floor you become relative to earth that's why u fall over
True, if you bounce a tennisball in a moving train you׳re just bouncing it up and down and your not compensating for the fact that you’re actually moving.
I just started skating and I'm trying to learn how to move while doing tricks but it's so much harder for me
i learnt to ollie in a week
starting off standstill and then after about 5 days i started to try while rolling (after i felt i got the technique down pretty well) and made the first few attempts
it's easier the faster you're rolling, moving slow feels way more difficult
I've been skating for (technically) 10 years and still have trouble doing flip tricks while moving. Excited to try a little harder now!
I learned everything moving, even my ollies, i actually cant do things standing still
Skateboarding things*
Who needs that anyway, except for freestylerd
I can't Ollie standing still
I am the exact opposite! I need to start learning my tricks moving...
Same here
You are always the best Aaron Besk skater for me
I remember starting to skate, I tried to practice my tricks on the carpet a lot. When I tried to take it to the street, I struggled to do the same tricks. At this point, I don't even like to practice any trick without even a slight push; stationary, personally, takes away some UMPH. Speed definitely helps me with my board confidence and maybe it's because that's how I like throwing my body? Total mind barrier.
Man I have no confidence doing shit standing still. Even like an ollie. If I'm not moving, they look like shit
Practice makes perfect! We all start there bro, just depends if you are willing to spend time and effort to achieve...
MrBaconandwaffle Haha thanks. I can do them moving. And othe things. I just mean standing still, I can't do them.
+Jon Alanoor its actually easier to Ollie moving then not moving
+Jon Alanoor We all learn somewhere Took me half a year to ollie properly moving
i agree
You guys should do a cleats game of skate
jimmyrussen dig the profile pic long live VH

I learned all my tricks standing still......
I had to re-learn them while moving......
Come to rewatch this 'cas I have the same problem right now.
As Aaron said "Same forces are occuring" I wouldn't agree with that. Centar of mass is not the same standing still or moving. You need to adjust perfectly for even an Ollie while rolling and for flip trick your body mass needs to be perfectly distributed - centered on the centar of mass of the skateboard or you will fall.
I find it a lot easier to practice tricks moving, it'll help alot more than just stationary training. Falling while moving is often less painful than you think since instead of slamming into the ground, you get the opportunity to roll or run out when you bail.
I've learned while standing still watching your vids...keep it up guys
the sentence with progressing makes it more fun made me so up. thanks for the motivation
Actually the weight distribution is a bit different moving than when standing still, at least for me. Standing still feels like I'm going fakie. The key to learning any flip trick is to first get the flicking motion down and then forget about it. Try not to pop too high and just focus on staying over your board. Try to underflip and intentionally land on the bottom if you're so terrified of landing primo - that's the best trick tip I can give to anyone struggling with any kind of flip trick. You're bound to accidentally do a full flip and then you'll be all 'was that all?'
I learned moving. It seems easier the faster you go.
I learned Ollie shove it standing still every trick from there I learned moving also I learn treflip Aaron kyro today I just ordered an Arron kyro home town deck it's funny because I live in Rhode Island were not that many skaters live I have one friend that skateboards I hope one day you could come to Rhode Island we just lost are only indoor skatepark please reply thank you som much Aaron kyro for taking your time and teaching others to skateboard with the tutorials and skateboarding made simple have helped me so much to progress push myself I learned almost every trick I know from your videos and skateboarding made simple I just wanted to say thank you Aaron kyro gabe Cruz lance silber and Mario santamaria keep making your videos teach Mario and lance all of sms 5 good luck #pushskateboarding
Standing still and I lost a game of skate because I didn't know those tricks while moving except Ollie and pop shuvit this video helped thx now I can do all my tricks moving
Thank you guys so much you convinced me to buy a skateboard and start skating. You are f'ing awesome.
i searched for this video just a couple days ago! because i also only learned my tricks standing still.. makes me a sad panda. but this makes me a happy one.
here in 2020 bro just started skating and that was a great tip almost landed it firts tryyyy!!!
good job lance you've gotten a LOT better than when I first started watching. :)
I learned my trick while moving
Or riding
When I Ollie standing still I step off but moving its perfect
Standing still is hard for me now even though that's what I started with in the beginning. I found its easier to start moving tricks if you commit, lean over the board more, and just relax a little.
I learned my tricks and intend to learn them all moving
I find it easier :)
This really helped me on my moving ollie. I always do stationary but thanks aron and lance
Thanks. That helped a lot!! I just plied a 1.5 foot gab because of that!
i learned standing still and told my self learn to tricks moving so now its easy for me to learn tricks moving
I know how to ride very well . I also know how to do an ollie while standing still, but when I do it moving I have problems.
my biggest problem that I have while moving is kicking the tail onto the ground. I feel like every time the board is just gonna slip out.
Do you have any advice
( I already own skateboarding made simple volume 1)
I have the exact same issue
Exact problem with me
don searles just try and fall on your hands
don searles stay your weight over the board evenly and do a hard pop and bring your foot straight up . slide all the way up the nose and then land with your weight even and bang you've done it moving
the key really is in popping and sliding up your front foot at the same time
catching the board with the front foot will keep you going with the board
i find it easier if i lean forward a bit more on my front foot before popping
I can finally do it! thanks!

if you eat shit... stand up and try again, MOVING
Mmmm yeah
I started with standing still now I'm moving on to doing them while in motion
Flatbar vs circle rail
Ok
I really enjoy your videos. You have been a lot of help, THANK YOU!!
Practice till i land a couple, then im moving from then on out. moving gives you the practice to get yoyr feet ready and stay balanced makes your brain think faster, at least for me it does
it's crazy how right you are about the mental part.
I always learn at normal speed it just feels easier to do.
I learned my tricks moving💯💯
this ____ deserves recognition
Learned backside heels moving and Nollie shuv and both full cabs
I learnt the ollie still and kickflip but after that everything just helped moving especially 180 and 360
I learned my ollie while standing :D
The only 2 tricks i learned standing in position was ollies and kick flips when i was 8yrs old 18yrs later at 28yrs old it's just easier to ride and do tricks but can do tricks in standing position still! Gets easy over time.
I havent been able to ride much at all. My garage has really smooth slick top concrete and my driveway is awful along with the road.
I've learned in 2 mothers
Ollie, shove it. Pop shove nollie. Ollie frontside switch Manual a good 20 feet or so. And landed with duel to drag heel flips alot these past few days enough to make me rest a few days. (Hundreds of heel flip attempts
This is something i've been having a problem with lately, in conjunction with a few other things. Its been raining alot here lately, and ive been practicing on my carpet board, i can land kickflips, shoves, occasionally heelflips, and i can ollie of course, but once i get moving, i cant seem to do any of them. i end up slipping out n the pop, or my board turns backward in the air, i just cant seem to get the hang of moving and doing that same stuff. I ride my board to work when its not cold or wet outside, which is only a block away, and i do just fine pushing and riding, but once i introduce tricks to it, its like foreign to me. I just picked up skating again about 6 months ago(i hadnt skated in 14 years) and its been tough trying to get it down. I can ollie while moving like 80% of the time, but i cant go fast and do it, and any other tricks are nearly impossible at this point in time. Im not sure what advise you can give me, but anything would help. I feel like im missing something here.
After I got used to ollies I started doing all my tricks moving from then on
I'm still learning but I've been learning both moving and still
I can't do tricks while moving, it's not that I'm scared, it's just that when I try to do an Ollie moving, I fall right off when I do the pop and it really gets on my nerves. But this really helped me.
I learned mine standing still in the grass cuz its a little awkward to just try them moving right away. Figuring out the mechanics is a lot easier for me when i do them standing still. Then it just comes to weight positioning when you start trying them moving.
this was actually pretty helpful
everyting moving ollie,fs 180,bs 180, pop shuv,fs shuv,kickflip,heelflip, and varial kickflip
That’s a dope soundtrack. Walk this way remix?
Do a game of skate on a treadmill!!! Love the vids much love
Thank you Aaron for the science lesson at 2:00
Hey Aaron Kyro aka. Braille
I have followed you for a long time now and learned all the basics with your youtube videoes! they have been very helpful! But i was wondering if you maybe could make a new series? Called maybe "Mastering tricks" where you choose a trick (like 50:50 grind or kickflip) and go to the skatepark and do the trick every where its possible. And when you do the tricks you explains how you commit and how you practice before going for the trick. For example kickflip: up a kicker/euro gap, stairs, pyramid, Hip, Gap, over some stuff and so on ;-). I hope i hear from you :)
Btw im from Denmark :D
Finally I've been waiting for this.
I learned boneless 180s today moving and it was easier that way. when i tried to do it standing still it took me more than one try. but i learned ollies still so i guess it depends on youre personal preference.
Go to mini ramp and do 500 pumps 500 kick turns for a week, then try your flatland, wedge or quarter pipe tricks while moving.
I learn standing still which makes it hard to convert to moving. I need to start practicing moving while doing it.
I learned half cab, frontside 180 while rolling and I’m learning kickflips rn I land them a lot in grads
Hey I love ur vids dude!
Thanks now can i do my kickflip in pretty fast speed super clean!
I learned to Ollie standing still and now I am learning while moving but at first I was scared to do it while moving so I did it moving but moving slow and then I started moving faster faster till I’m not scared anymore.
Thanks for teaching me tricks
love your vids bro! :)
I learned most of them moving some like the frontside 180 and backside 180, I learned them moving:)
i find i have to try push the board out in front of me a little. (as in the direction im traveling) otherwise ill land ahead of the board or in nollie position. i think the additional drag on the tail from when you pop slows the board down in relation to my body.
the only trick i learned moving was an ollie. like 4 years ago. Now i learn all my tricks moving, even if it's like really slow.
moving is the key to learn skateboarding
Tried to do moving shove its for 3 months and just couldn't. Until I found out I needed a little bit less speed to fully commit and catch the board. Like I was going slow, but i needed to go even slower.
I learned all my tricks moving. It's easier
A little to late for that
Sweet I ollied while moving thanks a kyro
Aaron you should come to Westmoreland Tn on my birthday June 20th
do a review on ace trucks. that would be sick
I haven't skated like in two weeks I'm ashamed of myself I'm still learning back 180's I need to skate more so I can progress more
I learned my tricks standing still 😂
I learned my tricks standing still now i want to learn them moving so i can get some grinds n stuff,
braille you should come to London
always learn moving!
Learned all my tricks moving
For some reason I find pop shove it easier than ollie when moving, i guess that is because of my foot position seems more right when doing a shove it.
