The missing key for me was definitiely tweaking my ankle more before flicking, it makes all the difference in the world. Thanks to that now I'm starting to catch my kickflips in the air and not landing all sketchy

Most thorough and comprehensive with the breakdown of common mistakes and the slow no w graphics to illustrate are nice touches. History lesson thrown in too makes us OGs smile! this is how all tutorials should be put together, mane! Peace !!
As someone who skated from the late 90's to mid 2000's and is now (stupidly) starting to skate again in his early 30s - these vids are so dope in helping me get my muscle memory back. They are truely appreciated my dude! Also they just remind me of how goddamned dope Rodney Mullen is.

@@showabandim a bit late but i think you should get a bigger but slowet flick so you will send the board higher for longer and easily land on the manny pad (i might be wrong but it helped me)

yoo really good tutorial bro. I'm 26 and still learning sketeboard, i lived in a city full of hills, i allways ride fast but never really got into doing tricks, i worked a lot, was only for transportation. I have some broken bones from doing jiu-jitsu, my shoulder ligaments are all destroied. But i got a son, 4 year old, 1 longboard, 2 street , its really fun. learning togheter.

Love this. I'm probably way too early into riding to give it a go but is there anything I or any new skater should know about their board before trying? Just as an example, my board has way more flexibility on the wheel axles than any other board I tried. Is that an issue?
Great detail I’m pretty consistent landing my kick flips stationary it’s just moving I can’t seem to get my timing perfect and a lot of the time I lean to far back and board flys in front will definitely try to lean more forward thanks 🙏
except for the landing with back foot problem, your explanation for that problem was bad, the truth is the front foot is easy to land if your flick is good, but if you're flicking down you can't get your front foot back on in time (from my and my friends experience)
