This city has a significant place in my heart. While I was in the Army one of my best friends died suddenly from a brain tumor. The last place he logged off was Shattrath City. It might sound silly but when I go to that City I can feel closer to him. Thank you for this.
Best expansion ever. I quit after Warlords of Draenor but god damn I miss BC and even WotLK. All went downhill after those two. Such a relaxing zone, even Hellfire peninsula was somehow calming.
HellzNord With the introduction of Vanilla WoW on retail I think Blizzard will eventually re-create TBC as well, allowing players to migrate from Vanilla to TBC (and onwards perhaps?)
Same. I like to watch it from a distance sometimes. It just isn't what it was. I don't think anyone could recreate that magic I felt back then in a game
The segment from 16:04 still makes my hair stand on end. It's both haunting and beautiful at the same time. Moments frozen in time but yet, still long gone...
The entire TBC soundtrack took heavy influences from Pink Floyd. (The Horde innkeeper in Hellfire Peninsula is named Floyd Pinkus). Terrokkar 3 sounds like it could have been straight up a Pink Floyd song. You will find (or at least used to. idk anymore, quit wow over 10 years ago lol) other Pink Floyd style tracks in Hellfire Peninsula, Blade's Edge Mountains, Caverns of Time (The TBC 5 mans and exterior cave, a few of which were also used in the Warden's Cage in Shadowmoon Valley)
This was, and still is, my favorite city! I used to just hang out and read trade for hours back in the day. Even when we moved on, discovered new places and called new cities home, I still came back here. Thank you for this upload and the many others you do as well.
I stopped shortly before Cataclysm came out, playing in the tail end of TBC and all of Wrath... instead of hanging around Dalaran, I'd sit in Shattrath instead, running or flying laps while reading trade, playing around on the elevator, and thinking of the old days when I first got to Outland, and first walked into the city.... This music makes my heart ache.
I used to play WoW up until WoD then quit. Life took over. Started workingfull-time, doing full-time college course and while doing work online I listen to WoW music. It's such a nostalgic feeling. I was afraid it will make me want to go back and play. It did for a while but now it's just a way of getting extremely focused with my work. Thanks for uploading!
The whispers at 5:00 turn into an open call of animals from a distance. It really feels like you go from a secluded and closed forest to a vast and mysterious open desert, with shadows creeping up and lurking from every direction I love this magical feeling...
I haven't played in 7 years, but this makes me beyond happy to hear...every once and a while you just get a strong urge to hear those familiar sounds and songs and this really hits it for me. Thank you!
The music of TBC is my only fond memory of that expansion. Beautiful stuff. TBC brought rough times for our guild. We lost all of our leadership and the majority of our raiders to other guilds early on. There were greener pastures in bigger raiding guilds, even though we had been hardcore raiding in Vanilla and had success. The people that left either didn't want to put in the work of leadership or wanted more power of their own in other places. The mantle of guild master was passed to me since I was an officer and had been in the guild since the early Vanilla days. I couldn't leave the guild since it's where I began my WoW days. I decided not to follow them, even though I myself was a raider. We never got to raid the content of TBC. Karazahn and Zul'Aman were the exceptions since they were 10-mans and logistically possible for us. There wasn't much to do. The guild was quiet and not many people were online, but a small, loyal group of people stayed and kept it alive. They took a giant risk and gave up their ability to experience raids. Fortunately, the next expansion (Wrath) would create 10-man versions of all raids, including hard/heroic modes. I'm still the guild master of our guild, and we've had great success in Legion, including mythic 20-man progression for every raid tier. Some of those loyal Vanilla guild mates are still active and raiding.
My first raid I had ever done was the Black Temple, although I hadn't done it until Cata, since that was the expansion pack where I finally started putting more time and effort into playing WoW.
The nostalgia is like a perfect punch in exactly the right spot, who did this music / ambience was clearly a master of audio engineering, you cannot relate to a piece of audio on memories alone, it's the "exotic" feeling, something in the "distance" blurred but yet tangible in the fantasy world, lots of memories but simply amazing.
Never really played BC, just some alt leveling till 70 and farming in later expansions, but i still liked the vibes of it more than Legion, BFA and SL . They did a good job in BC to make a lot of places meaningfull and creating enganging areas that were worthwhile to remember. I think thats also one of the reasons i still love WoD to this date. They've done something truly magical with recreating the same world in a different timeline.
that's because a lot of the music from BC was for a planned but scrapped Diablo III if I remember correctly. So it is quite likely that song was once meant for Diablo lol.
It is Blizzard indeed, that brought many of us to Ambient music to begin with. They made a lot of musicians a lot of good careers. And many of them still pushing on. Keep going Blizzz...Innovation!!!! Music!!!!
The music in Terokkar Forest really grew to become some of my favorite music in the game. There's such a melancholy feel to it that just makes me really connect with it. The part from 16:15 to about 17:55 especially reels me in. I could listen to it forever.
Alleria Stronghold... the last remaining bastion of High Elven architecture (at the time of this expansion). Loved flying close to it as my BE and looking at that blue spire...
The new level scaling system does have its upsides. While Northrend is an absolutely great continent to level in, the majority of my characters recently have gone through levels 60~ to 82~ in Outland alone. The amazing soundtrack, the beautifully-designed areas- in particular Nagrand and Terokkar (even Hellfire, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon have their upsides)-, the simplicity and straightforwardness (every goddamn expansion after Cataclysm has endless amounts of gimmicks and "special abilities" and vehicles and cutscenes for standard quests), and obviously the nostalgia, make it difficult to want to level anywhere else. At least that feeling of not wanting to leave makes it easier to come back to Outland to farm for mogs and mounts.
Coming back to this video now, makes me remember the eerie feeling in Shattrath after WotLK was released. Like visiting ancient ruins of a lost civilisation, lost in time.
16:00 essa música sempre me tras boas lembranças. Lembro quando tive minha primeira paladina e estava pela região de skettis pra tentar farmar reputação . As vezes eu simplesmente ficava parada no céu com a minha montaria voadora enquanto essa música tocava. Da uma lembrança muito boa.

The best major city in all of wow history, and the best expansion in my opinion. Always the Burning Crusade will have a place in my heart. The music for this expansion was always 🔥🔥
The ambience in this game is second to none. Some of the best I've heard in gaming. Also, this is my first time visiting your channel. You clearly put a lot of effort into your videos, so thanks for that, consider me subbed.
So, my whole family played WoW while I was growing up. It played a huge part in my life and was central to my childhood. That being said, I remember the first times of WoW where you were completely captivated and sucked into a different dimension. One of these times was when Burning Crusade first came out and I saw my mom hearting back to Shat. Since she had chosen the Draenei over the Bloodelfs she hearted to that inn and I remember seeing for the first time a horde player that was not red. I was completely shocked. I was still exploring Vanilla play and really didn’t fully grasp the Burning Crusade expansion. I know it may not seem so crazy but at that moment, because the factions had such a strong hate for each other, i was in complete disarray. Hearing this music, triggers memories like that and I cannot thank you enough.
Wow, great job as always, Everness! The WoW music & ambience pieces get me right in the feels (in a good way). Shattrath/Terokkar Forest is one of my favorite zones and the music reminds me a bit of Diablo II's soundtrack, especially 'Desert' and 'Harem'. Keep up the great work!

Good ol' Shatt the heart of the burning crusade x-pac this place is haunted with memories of my youth and then now gone friendships..time flies and it aint' pretty.
Been using these to sleep for a few months now. Started playing at the release of BC. Just came back after a year absence and went back to visit the old city hubs. Shatt is still the Shit! I remember raiding and all the pain in the ass farming and grinding with fondness. Shadow Labs 4 lyfe!
Same composers and art team, even Torchlight and Fate have the similar because they were made by some Blizzard ex employees and art and music team helped with both franchises.
Everness! Thank you for bringing back so many memories when I am trying to work in my OFFICE! >.< can you please make videos of: Silverpine Forest, Azuremyst Isle, Exodar, Arathi Highlands (good old SS aka Soutshore!), Wetlands, EPL, WPL, Winterspring, Azshara, Hinterlands... Thank u
I'm very glad you're enjoying these! I made a video about one of your suggestions already - Azuremyst Isle. The rest will take a bit of time. Not sure what to do with Hinterlands though... At least Arathi Highlands got a dedicated theme in Cataclysm, Hinterlands are still just a mix of forest tracks. We'll see.
Everness I always loved that place. always forgotten and underestimated:) all that trolls places etc, even forgotten by the gamemakers.. unfinished stories.. so sad 😥😊
I will. But unless Blizzard add new music to it (like they did with Winter's Veil last year) it's gonna be very repetitive. I should probably make it 20min long, like with Midsummer Festival in that case.

Strange how some imaginary places from a video game can carry such an emotional load and be part of our life for ever.

Goosebumps every single time..also love how you made the background really adds something.
Good ol' Shatt the heart of the burning crusade x-pac this place is haunted with memories of my youth and then now gone friendships..time flies and it aint' pretty.
I absolutely love Outland Draenei at 8:37, 13:34, 46:06 and 51:06. It's totally relaxing that you should try it.
Thank you for making these awesome videos. They help me to study!
I remember chilling outside of the Scryers bank shooting the shit with other adventurers. Good times.
there's something about shattrath that no other city in the game, before or since, has ever managed to capture.
I have been waiting for this one! Thank you.
23:00 sounds like "den of evil" from diablo 2
Fall off the Aldor lift, panicky slow fall, mount up again and run circles around the city while talking to friends :)
I spent days upon days tabbed out in shattrah as this music permeated my subconscious. Same with ogrimaar
Been using these to sleep for a few months now. Started playing at the release of BC. Just came back after a year absence and went back to visit the old city hubs. Shatt is still the Shit! I remember raiding and all the pain in the ass farming and grinding with fondness. Shadow Labs 4 lyfe!
thanks a lot, I was waiting for this one, I have such a good memories from Outland
Thank you so much for doing these!
Never noticed or paid attention to the waves of bone rattles and shakers in the Bone Wastes. Trippy.
Amazing as always. Hope you get around to the rest of Outland soon.
You and me both. Only three videos left! Plus the overall thing for the entire expansion, but that will come out later. Some day...
Everness oh man, I can't wait for netherstorm, so much music from that place, raids, dungeons, area 52, such a cool zone.
So many great memories playing The Burning Crusade. Such a fun time.
I never really realized just how much diablo DNA is in the Auchindoun soundtrack, totally addicted to listening to it
Same composers and art team, even Torchlight and Fate have the similar because they were made by some Blizzard ex employees and art and music team helped with both franchises.
Hopefully you don't mean Matt Uelman, dudes a real PoS given recent ish history
when i found this i shatt myself
Everness! Thank you for bringing back so many memories when I am trying to work in my OFFICE! >.<
can you please make videos of: Silverpine Forest, Azuremyst Isle, Exodar, Arathi Highlands (good old SS aka Soutshore!),
Wetlands, EPL, WPL, Winterspring, Azshara, Hinterlands...
We'll see.
Everness I always loved that place. always forgotten and underestimated:) all that trolls places etc, even forgotten by the gamemakers.. unfinished stories.. so sad 😥😊
I remember doing that Zul'Farrak quest chain in Jintha'Alor with the ceremonial hammer at the end. That was... Quite a long time ago.
could be.. maybe I was too noob when i was level 40-ish :) thank you again, looking fwd for more WoW music < 3333
Use your playlist as background while gaming non WOW mmoprg. its fantastic. Thanks!
Love these. I'm sure it's probably been said before but PLEASE do a brew fest one when it comes around!
I will. But unless Blizzard add new music to it (like they did with Winter's Veil last year) it's gonna be very repetitive. I should probably make it 20min long, like with Midsummer Festival in that case.
Magnificent. Brings back memories.
I miss just idling in Shattrath listening to the music waiting for next kara run
Man I can still hear Pink Floyd "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" in there
Я Буду Вечно Это Слушать 😍😘😍😘😎
This would be soothing to fall asleep to.
All my homies love Terokkar Forest 2
ОООО! Так долго ждал. Спасибо
Everness, thank you for this great video! Are you planning on doing Netherstorm (BC) at any time?
This soundtrack is a travel to a another galaxy
