So great to see a bike restoration video with good video, sound and no useless chatter. Very concise. Thanks.
Thank you very much! :)
Very impressive presentation by Chris. Amazed how much knowledge he has. Explained in great detail, making it very easy to do this by yourself. Also, great up close video & repeating it to understand better. Highly recommend all of Chris's videos to all ages. Simply the best bicycle UA-cam videos out there!
Hey Kevin! I really appreciate the subscription and encouragement! Thank you!
That was a great presentation on how to bring shine to a paint job on an old bike!
Thank you very much!
This was my exact bike and color l bought with my own money saved up in 1966! And yes, no front shock frame! Great job and restoration videos! Thank you!!💖💖💖
That’s really neat! I’m working on another video right now of course so keep your eye out for the next video. I’m also on Facebook and I have some small updates there as well. Thank you!!
This guy is the definition of a expert
Thank you sir 💪🏼
Hit those scuffs and scratches with a really wet magic eraser.
You’d be surprised what a great job it does, I don’t have to tell you to be cautious and spot test since it’s an older bike- but worth trying
Thank you! The buffer and compound did a really good job. There are still plenty of scratches down to bare metal but hey… that’s part of the character lol
So Cool
Thank you! 👍🏼
I hand buff all my bikes. I use a old thick sock, I turn it inside out. I spray on a wax to the sock then dip it into the compound. Again u do do awesome work. Very enjoyable videos man.
That’s another good way to do it!I really appreciate that too, thank you!
Great job on the video!
Thank you sir!
Just found your channel. Great job, will be watching for more.
That’s fantastic! Thank you Tim!
It’s like cleaning cymbals easy on the logos. My 1979 black beach cruiser needs some paint.what would it cost repaint it.🤔
You’d have to contact a paint shop/body shop of some sort. Personally I’m not a fan or repainting unless, for example it was in a fire. It’s only original once.
Hello. I'm looking for a 63 or 64 Sting Ray restored or un- restored basic bike (no fenders) Thanks for the help or any info.
The only thing I can suggest other than eBay and facebook market place are the facebook groups that are specifically for Stingrays. Look in those places and I know you’ll track one down! 👍🏼
i found a 1965 schwinn stingray deluxe violet in the woods and the bike was stolen sprayed blue, stolen again and painted red, i think it was abandoned because it looks like someone was riding it and got hit by a car, and now i own it and i have to re paint it because from being in the woods so long the paint comes off when i scrub the spraypaint off so yeah
Check out koolestuff.com because they’ll have some products you’ll likely be interested in. Also I’m not sure but that might be “opal” which is different from Schwinn’s Violet.
@@GoodTimeBikes mine is a march so its when they started to use violet and not an opal color thanks for the link i will check them out
Oh cool! And you’re very welcome!
Is it possible that this can be completely done by hand ? If i dont have the buffing equipment ?
I would say I can be done by hand. In my opinion an electric or pneumatic tool just makes the job easier. The more convenient the job, the more likely we are to complete it and most of all, enjoy it.

Awesome! :) thank you!
