    Awesome..my first Sting Ray was the same color,,,in about 1967 or 68 . I put that bike to the test for 5 years and never broke anything on it. But then it was time to move up to a 10 speed…..Schwinn made some great bikes back in the 60’s…👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

      That’s really cool! Do you still have your stingray or did you get another one?

    What's up my friend.... Question: does a vintage schwinn stingray Jr. fork fit on a regular vintage boy's stingray.?

    • @GoodTimeBikes
      @GoodTimeBikes  11 місяців тому +1

      I don’t think so but let me double check. I believe the steer tube length would be different. Just like a girls fork won’t fit a boys bike.

    • @GoodTimeBikes
      @GoodTimeBikes  11 місяців тому +1

      Ok so I asked around and from what I’m being told, it’ll mount but it’ll be shorter. I know it’s difficult to find the exact part at times but it’ll save you from having to deal with other issues in the long run

    I’m inspired. Looks like you have some Parker tools. Gonna start restoring my 58’ Hornet cruiser. Where can I get an affordable set of bike tools? And you did say they were standard right? Novice here. Thanks.

    • @GoodTimeBikes
      @GoodTimeBikes  2 роки тому +1

      That’s awesome! It’s really rewarding once your restoration is done and a 58 Hornet is a really cool bike to do it with! But a standard set of wrenches and sockets will disassemble and reassemble the majority of your bike actually. I’m a big fan of Park Tool because they’re good quality. I work for Richards Bicycles at rbikes.com in case there is anything I can help you with!

    I've got a May of 66 Violet Deluxe. I wish my paint was as nice as yours. Please tell me you're not going to paint it. Is it going to be for sale when it's done?

    • @GoodTimeBikes
      @GoodTimeBikes  2 роки тому +1

      They really are beautiful bikes! And absolutely not, I will not repaint this bike! I don’t like repainted bikes because it really erases the history of the bike. You can always tell when a bike has been repainted too, it’s just not the same. And I’m sorry but I won’t be selling this bike. As you know they’re hard to come by without spending a lot of money. Thank you for watching and I’m exciting to get my next video posted!

      @@GoodTimeBikes Aaah, so good to hear! Is there a shop decal on the center tube? What shop is it from? I just saw your seat rebuild video. It turned out really nice. I'm looking forward to seeing this thing finished!

      Thank you very much and I’m excited to ride it too! There is a shop sticker on it and I’ll leave it on there of course. Unfortunately there are only about two letters that are left so I don’t know where it came from
