Aight, maybe if we stopped throwing money at trash games from trash companies and instead gave it to people like these maybe we'd have better games.
problem lies with produces and investors. Devs need logistics, funding, promotion, etc to make triple A games but how the final product will be is still dependant on the higher ups, the ones who most likely dont understand gaming and are just in for the business. Its why i mostly play indie games since its often the dev/s is/are always in full control of the quality I mean look at Stardew Valley for example.

Modders are a godsend to PC gaming we appreciate all your hard work.
Irongate should hire you guys for development! The fact that you guys are able to put something like this together in the time you did while the ashlands was being worked on shows a lot. Anywho props to you guys and the many modders out there for this fun and amazing content!

My wife and I have over the years worked on our own theme park of sorts with lots to explore and find. It's nowhere near the epic nature of this build but we still love to add to it every few months or years when we get inspired to play. We will definitely be checking this out!

@@lolboy-642 in the context of youtube. i see channels with hundreds of thousands of subs have nothing close to the fidelity and attention to detail he has in not only building in-game but audio mixing, video editing, and amount of work and content put into each video.

I had no idea this was a thing and I am beyond excited for the modpack to go along with the linear map version to release. Years ago, I used to run a small server based on the Game of Thrones franchise where the co-owner painstakingly recreated Westeros, Essos, and Sothoryos in detail via mods and hand-painting terrain and locations. We spent weeks building various locations including Castle Black and Winterfell. We never finished the project as life got in the way and the long wait for Mistlands made interest wane.
The small community we had was blown away by the scale of the project and I have been chasing that feeling since. This looks like the same kind of ambition, but a much greater scale.
Bravo, all. This looks incredible and I can't wait to experience it with my friends when it's ready.

Incredible! absolutely incredible! the sheer amount of work and effort to be pulling this off deserves massive recognition imo, I've never played anything other than survival and I have 1400+hrs on Valheim, I will defiantly be checking this out come January, Well done guys.

A few years ago, i was asked to make a custom map/conversion for a skyrim streamer. He found me from a linkedin profile i forgot about when i was younger. I figured itd be something neat to do for a challenge and extra pocket change. He said i was free to do what i wanted it just had to be unique. Which is a red flag the buyer is going to cry about everything. I made a map comversion that was essentially "Alice in Wonderland". I had one area where i had everything upside down, another where things were melting. Another area where you were in a goant forest of different mushrooms where the mushrooms would spread spores that gave dmvarious buffs/debuffs to you and the enemies in it. There you could capture and train a giant bee and ride it anywhere. I had spent a long time on that, the animation alone itook a full week. The guy messaged me 4 weeks in for the files. I sent him videos as proof, but it wasnt ready. He would ask for the files and thrn eventually said he had to pay me in exposure because his donations werent what they should be. I was so angry i just blocked him and abandoned the project. I thought about releasing it as is because the files should be on an old laptop that needs a new motherboard to work though, i just lost interest in it and forgot about it until this showed up on YT for me.
