- This week we are excited to show you a Hipcamp that may have the best group sites in Washington. Cowlitz River Rentals is a very unique Hipcamp nestled outside of Randle, Washington. This brand new Hipcamp offers some amazing features, one of which is that in can accommodate large groups of 16+ people, which is something we find becomes an issue at times. This 70 acre hip camp offers plenty of individual and group sites surrounding access to some of the most amazing views of the Cowlitz River and surrounding valleys. Another key perk is the ability to float the horseshoe section of the river , which takes 20-30 min and can reset back to the beginning in less than 10 minutes, making multiple trips an easy breeze. With so many sites ,but adequate space between sites you really feel like you are out there alone.
On top of everything this Hipcamp was on its 1st season when we visited. The owner and her family built sites and manicured what is in the video in less than 4 months, which is nothing short of amazing. They also offer fun events through the year. Come with us and experience as we take our small group and show you what a home like river camping setup could look like. New for 2024.... there are now 10 group sites that are quite large, and there are 15 individual sites. Almost all of the sites will have a view of the river.

Probably one of the funnest group trips we have had . This place is pretty awesome !
Past several years a few families and ours have gone camping together but spread out among several individual sites. Not ideal. So ive been struggling to find a group spot for to book this year. I saw this place on hipcamp and found it to be just right, and booked one of the group sites. A few minutes later i decided to see what else i could find out and saw your video. Now im even more excited!
Cowlitz river rentals is an amazing hipcamp. You guys will have a blast. They also improved a bunch of the sites even since this video was taken last summer after chatting with the owners. It’s a one of a kind experience. Good luck on your group camping trip !!

Would you stay here ? With the mix of group availability and the river flair it this is a 1-2 punch kinda place with some great views.
