  • ✔ Harvest Hosts and Hipcamp have major differences! This side-by-side comparison is telling. You need to watch this! ⬇️
Harvest Hosts is known for free overnight RV parking and Hipcamp for alternative places to camp. This is a Harvest Hosts review and Hipcamp review that also shows you how to find places to camp, and unique camping spots using both.
As campgrounds are filling up faster than ever, having alternative places to camp is essential and both Harvest Hosts and Hipcamp camping makes RV life easier. I am so glad to have these “non-campground camping” resources. The more places to find camping resources the better!

Harvest Hosts user for a couple of years - very happy with all of our HH stays. Couple of other points to consider: 1) we can safely go to wineries and attractions we might have passed by because we know we can get our rig in and out; the comments and reviews help with this We just plan shorter travel days when staying at a HH. 2) HH now has online booking for many of their sites. 3) Some HH locations allow for multiple nights 4) We don't feel that the $20 suggested spend is paying for camping - it''s paying for the wine, farm products or museum admission we would purchase anyway. Great value in my book!

Can't sink my teeth into Harvest Host. I want to pull over, usually in the evening, sleep, and get back on the road. If a Harvest Host closes at 5pm, you need to be there before 5. Then they STRONGLY encourage you to make a purchase ($20 recommended). Therefore, I pay $80 for an annual cost and $20 for each stop. No Thank you. This video was very helpful. Never heard of Hipcamp. Will do some more research.

Hi! Very valid points for Harvest Hosts overnight RV parking. Harvest Hosts is best for travel days that end mid afternoon because as you said, they want you to be there before end of business hours. I think Harvest Hosts makes great one or two night (find two close by each other) camping experiences! Camping on a farm, winery or museum sure would be a different camping experience!
