Ive have been using this twice a week and trentoin the other days. Works perfectly for me. I have finally become smarter about skin care watching these videos. The cosmetic companies are overwhelming bombarding women and men with products. I listen to the professionals who have actually gone to medical school. Keep it up. Thank you! Good job!
I am 66 years old and have very sensitive skin. Am just seeing the signs of wrinkles. I have never really used skin care before ... Dove soap and LRP Toleriane Double Repair Matte Moisturizer is all I have used. Saw your video about this Alpa Ret about a year ago and purchased it. I have not had 1 reaction to it and started using it every night right off the bat. My skin looks better than every and did not have to purchase another one until a little more than 6 months after and I had purchased the smaller size. I have gone up the the more intensive one and again no sensitivity issues. I used to wear full makeup every day even to go out and walk the dog. Now I just put on a SPF 50 and head out the door. I really like your videos and have learned a lot from you. Thank you and keep up the great work!
One of my favorite brands. I’ve been using AlphaRet for years along with several of their products. Game changer. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive or at least have some discount codes.
LOVE the AlphaRet. I’ve had no irritation, even when my skin has been slightly damp. Also use the Alto Advanced Defense Serum. Totally obsessed with the brand!!!!
I’m not a doctor myself, I just follow people who have knowledge and/or experience helping us chose the best bangs for our buck, without having any financial benefit in pushing certain products or brands. I’ve ditched the Olay. From all over I’ve heard about the geek and gorgeous 101 retinal it comes in 2 strengths and it’s very affordable. Just got me my 2nd vail and loving it.
Stieva-A the best!!!!!!! I’ve been using it for 15 years non stop. I can’t live without it. In fact my dermatologist prescribes it for me for 2 years straight every time. I put it on my face, neck and my hands as well.
Yes it is expensive but I use it. Two bottles a year. I will cut back on 3 restaurant meals per year to cover the cost. So worth it. I wear my face everyday so an easy decision. I am 68, love the product.
I agree it’s expensive but I use it too. I quit drinking so I use the money I saved to buy it. If I start drinking again I can’t have this anymore. Win win 🥇
Just started using this - I do about 1.5 pea size and finish it with Kiehl’s Moisturizer - during the day I just use CeraVe’s moisturizer I don’t do much more but I have my Vichy Vit C and Roche Posay hyalauric for when I get to the weekend results have been great so far thanks Dr Sugai!
I hesitated and had to think twice when I saw the cost of the product. I was skeptical as I’ve tried many fine brands over the years that did not help the issues I have with my skin. Then I looked in my bathroom cabinet at 7+ years worth of products I tried, not worked, and laughed as I was looking at a lot of money down the drain. So I ordered the skinscience line a month ago, have been using it daily, and shocked at how quickly my skin is starting to change. For one, my pores are looking really clean and less visible. I have a lot of black filaments on my nose that have dramatically decreased. I’m looking at a long term journey for my brown age spots, but seeing some “breaking up” of the solid spots which has encouraged me. Because I travel, I ordered the compact sunscreen for touch ups which has been wonderful. I was seated near a window in the plane with sunlight pouring in, pulled out the compact and patted my face down. I can even touch up in the car. I love the texture and silky, non-greasy feeling on my skin. I was skeptical of this compact, but I’m loving it and can’t imagine being without it as an adjunct to my liquid sunscreen. I found that skinscience has put a lot of thought into their packaging and ease of use while protecting the product from waste or light exposure. The sponge applicator in their compact is separated from the sunscreen which I like as I was worried about leaving a sponge I’ve used on my face on top of the product. For me, I’m cleaning out the old products from my bathroom cabinet and continuing with skinscience which I never heard about until I stumbled onto Dr. Sugai’s videos and now a follower!
Skin Better is the best brand that I have tried so far. And I have tested many. I love the way the product feels, and it doesn’t irritate my skin nearly as much as tretinoin. It’s expensive but last longer because only 1 pump is needed. I wonder though, is tretinoin .1 % superior to this for anti aging purposes?
You talked about the other ingredients such as peptides niacinamide and q10 but how much is the percentage of them? It could be too low and not that worthy.
Love there products from the Alto Defense to the EyeMax to the SPF Tone Smart75. Are they very expensive yes, so have to save up when I know I'm running low. Not everyone will love it but to me it works wonders, rather spend my money on this then say La Mer etc.🤟
Thank you this was informative! I have this but was trying to use every night and I had to stop. I was so curious if this product was okay to sandwich as well. I may try twice a week and then go from there!
So you personally use this instead of Tretinoin? Isn't using the strongest level of Tretinoin your skin can handle without irritation the best strategy for Retinoids?
If I am using tretinoin or tazarotene, does AlphaRet offer any extra benefits? PS My skin tolerates tretinoin and tazarotene without a problem. In fact, I usually apply it to my damp skin to enhance penetration. PPS I am also using ascorbic acid and experimenting with peptides.
I use AlphaRet's overnight cream every other night and am SO happy with it. I alternate with Paula's BHA leave on serum. Right now I also use SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Gel in the morning. What are your thoughts on using a copper peptide serum (e.g.,DRMTLGY's needle-less serum) with the AlphaRet? I am thinking I can drop the BHA and use the copper peptides there.
Hi Dr.Daniel Sugai, I would like to hear your opinions on the brand Riviera Suisse for the Swiss Gold Serum Premium, Face Balm SPF 30|PA+++ and Face Balm Night. Thank you.
What’s the point of spending all that money on alpharet if the results are equal to 0.025% tretinoin which is significantly cheaper? Be great if you explain this
tretinoin is so harsh on my skin, it peels and gets irritated. skin better’s ret doesn’t irritate me at all. i rather not deal with the downtime and pain and still get the same results with skin better but just without the sensitivity. just my personal opinion.
I would love to try it. However, unfortunately, it is a little pricey for me. I use .10 tetinion nightly and Alpha hydroxy, vit. C in the morning and still have black heads throughout my t-zone. Is it just because I'm super oily? Or need to exfoliate more? Don't know....but Thank you so much for the information Dr. Sugai! 💜🤙
Not the end of the world. There are a lot of budget option out there. Even OTC retinol works wonder. You don’t need a prescription or an OTC expensive retinoid, a good quality, good formulated retinol will work just the same and as effective as some of the very expensive retinoids. The key is consistency xD
Doctor: this is the superb product I sell in my practice ; Me: whatever it is, it will be too expensive ... but thanks so much for the unrealistic option :)
@@rainforestblessed5031To be fair, he has a lot of content at much lower price points. For those who can afford it, this is his recommendation. I’m sticking with LRP but interested to learn what derm office options are.
My only concern here is that most derms warn about over exfoliation but recommend this product and to use it nightly but it has 10% glycolic acid. So is that ok or not? That’s the only thing blocking me from buying it.
Retinol is about to be banned in Europe, because it associated with cancer. What is your opinion on this? It seems a bit strange that all dermatologists advice so strongly about using retinol in high concentrations.
Hmmmmm.... you buy into the split face study from the manufacturer? Despite the fact that there were no vehicle controls comparing the active ingredients in their product. They have some other great actives that can help improvements. They didn’t nothing to show that the necessary biomarkers/pathways were actually activated (I’m talking crab 2 here) by this proprietary esther they claim is as good but less irritating. Is the retinoids receptor actually engaged as it has been show to be engaged in tretinoin (and other retinol) studies, for example. Tretinoin suppresses matrix metalloproteinase 9 (whereas in studies, retinol has not been show to do that. They haven’t shown that there is even any metalloproteinaise2 activity. I just can’t see how a Derm can justify use of something this unproven vs a know and much cheaper alternative. As a skincare expert, I’m so disappointed
This product works so good 🙏🏾 changed for me after day 1

Why not to buy prescription tretinoin $13 - $22 Canadian $.
And rotate with AHA ( can be night treatment CeraVe or 10% Paula’s choice)and BHA days.

No
