This is literally the video I've most been looking forward to publishing for almost the past year, so I really hope you guys love it! It's just incredible how much you can get done in one day with an airplane.
Your editing videos is coming along nicely. How your incorporating other angles (like the landing at 22:50) really shows talent. Perhaps one day director will follow your name as well as pilot on the big screen.
Matt Guthmiller I’ve seen you come in a bunch when I am working at our Lawrence base right next to Falcon :) always enjoy your videos bud keep up the good work
How do i go to sleep tonight and wake up as Matt Guthmiller tomorrow? You sure have some awesome experiences going on in your life. Too many for one person, I believe. :)
My dad was an A-4M/A-7E driver with VX-5 in the early ‘80s, was RTB in to NAWS China Lake in an A-4 one night after a cross country, he set the mains down and as he slowly lowered the nosewheel the landing light illuminated a herd of those wild burros gathered on the runway. He went full power on the go and had enough airspeed to get airborne barely clearing them with the mains. He shot another low pass approach to make sure they’d cleared the runway, they had and he put it down on the next pass, said it almost got a bit sporty lol. Wonderful video, great flight. Stay safe.
ROCK ON! I met Jack when he flew into Arlington Flight Service at KAWO for fuel, on his last leg home to Fresno. You two are in the kind of ‘fraternity’ we all would like to be members of, but then all pilots belong to a unique segment of the population.
Hi Matt, I enjoyed very much this latest video of flying in Florida, North Carolina and Boston. I truly appreciate your effort in posting your flying experiences and sharing them with your followers. Thank you, again, and please keep doing it!
That was epic. During my high school years in late 60's I worked at my uncle's FBO in Savannah, GA. The Reynold's family would fly in from time to time in their jet. My uncle would fly them down to Sapelo Island in his Twin Beech. Sapelo is a bit north of Cumberland. The landing strip there was much like the one you landed on in Cumberland. Back then, SAV did not have an avionics shop. The nearest one was in Brunswick. My uncle helped me build time flying Cherokees back and forth to get their old Narco Mk 3's fixed. Some of my fondest memories are chasing wild horses down some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is a miracle some of these wild places remain much the same today.
Matt, you do a lot of good work in your videos and take some amazing adventures, however this one probably is in the top five. It’s that flipside of owning an aircraft that really brings that benefit to light. Very well done and very good introduction to some fields most of us will never get a chance to visit. Bravo
You pick some of the coolest places to fly, most off the beaten path, I’ve started making “Way-Points” in ForeFlight so I don’t forget about them if I’m ever flying in the area. Had the opportunity when I flew into Santa Monica commercially, to fly a Cirrus for the 1st time and post to my UA-cam site and tour the museum as well, that I would not have know about without your video. I put a link to yours as your explanation of Santa Monica closing was WAY better than I could have done, well...everything you do is way better, but I’m a newbie at both flying and UA-cam!
Awesome doesn't even begin to describe this video, Matt! What a trip! I'm going to have to watch this more than once, fahsure. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
Matt, I just passed my private checkride today and came home to find this video. last year i flew to BQ1 with my instructor and wished i had taken some videos of it. awesome place and great barbecue.
Another solid video, Matt. I love your mission to spread the joy and practicality of general aviation. Side note, I just started watching Peter McKinnon and loved the stuff you guys shot a couple years ago. I recognized you immediately.
Well if this doesn't make you want to go flying, nothing will. Really fantastic video. Thanks for sharing this, and the details behind what goes into flying as well. I'm learning a lot.
They should make the house a four-way thing. You have a road on one side, a dock on another, a ski trail on the third side, and a hangar with a taxiway on the fourth. That would be incredible.
Matt, Longtime follower first time poster... Its great you got to experience BQ1. Its a great place to visit.. Can be tough getting in and its reward is great food. Keep up the vids, I enjoy them.
Loved that Carthage landing, total airshow stunt pilot -- wobble, wobble, wobble, greaser. Lots of pretty shots 'n' B-roll in this one. Power-up! Plane like that and you own the country. Sweet.
Looks like a long but great day Matt! Thanks for the ride along. I had some good memories from life at ERAU near where you started at Spruce Creek and now in Boston where you ended. Now if I can just find some good bbq!
I used to work at KFHB when I was in high school, at the time it was 55J. I am glad to see the aviation community to grow in Fernandina especially with the new terminal they've just built. Cumberland is also a awesome place to visit, I've sailed in there from time to time to explore the ruins.
I try and find every excuse to land at private airports (with permission of course) especially if they have grass runways. I still have to go check out 7FL6. Great video 👍🏼
Absolutely, an awesome video Matt! You are the BEST! All of your videos are so entertaining and educational which is the content that I enjoy. Most people have the stereotype of an airplane being used for commercial transportation. After watching numerous videos of yours, a whole new world has opened up for the use of an airplane. I hope many GA pilots follow your example!
Cool beans 7FL6 is my home airport. You actually parked right in front of my hanger on piper taxi-way two lines of hangers in front of The Downwind. I'm actually from Alaska but have not flown up there yet. Great Video.
I am confused. Who are the 31 people who gave this video a thumbs down? This is one of the best aviation videos I have seen. It has so much variety of sceneries and runways and just coll stuff to see. Well done Matt. Fly safely!
I was on Cumberland Island almost thirty years ago attending an event for one of the old mansions, Plum Orchard, and the Secretary of the Interior flew in to attend the event. Pretty sure they landed and departed on that strip in a King Air. That was a big day for those horses!
Your videos are always amazing Matt, but that was one of my all-time favorites! What a great day of flying. It shows what adventures can be available with an airplane, especially one as great as your Bonanza. Keep up the great vlogs...
Hey Matt I am just now beginning to watch your vids and not only am I loving them but I am super jealous that you have that tip tank BE-36! I love the STC tip tank conversions! Keep up the great work man!
I never thought I'd see Gray's Creek airport on any UA-cam videos, much less Matt's. Learned to fly there 25 years ago - and took my checkride in N6743H!!! Love the videos.
BQ1 is a great place to fly on the weekend - the BBQ is OK, but the fellowship among pilots is great! Just don't botch the landing - you are being graded.
Matt turned me onto the best breakfast I've ever had in my life at Katama airport in Martha's Vineyard. It's a grass strip, long and well kept. If you give the airport a head's up the day before, the restaurant is required to let all pilots have priority, even though the locals have to wait outside for three hours before they can sit down. Katama is awesome and I learned about it from Matt's channel. Search for it, take a look. If you live on the East Coast, you have to land there as part of your bucket list.
Another great v-log Matt. That second landing was awesome, nice and tight especially with that terrain. Loved the way you dropped it down on the strip. Look forward to the next one. Hopefully will be able to support your patreon site when my circumstances chance.
Just subscribed! I really like your laid back style and the videography is truly awsome! I look forward to meeting you at Sun-N-Fun If my work schedule will allow me to go!
The drone shots were really well done. I think the wild horsies have lost their fight or flight instinct. Gray's airport is so retro. Gotta love the flashlight fill.
Hi Matt - totally enjoy all of your videos and this one is extremely special. Thanks so much what an interesting perspective and fantastic experience that most of us will never be able to do. Really enjoyed it love it tremendous thank you
Favorite video to date Matt. I fly over Cumberland Island almost daily flying out of CRG and FHB. Always wondered what landing would be like there! Great video, keep it up Matt!
BQ1 Is a great place. Did my first cross country there. Too bad it burned down. I heard they are rebuilding it. You should come back and check it out again. My treat.
That Spruce Creek place is awesome! Just discovered your channel. Makes me miss flying with my dad. I never got my license, but he let me fly a lot. We would fly to air museums or places with nice places to eat. He has Parkinson's now, so doesn't fly anymore. I can't afford to get my license. So, this is fun to watch.
When I was working in Africa, we would have to clear the runway of wildlife like that, sometimes elephants would be there. Mostly it was impala's and things like that, though sometimes baboons. That was a fun gig, we would fly in on Twin Otters. Amazing planes.
I'm a regular at BQ1. on a good day the place is loaded with bikers, planes of all sorts, local peeps, etc.... that wooden fence along the parking lot is typically packed with people who are all judging your landing lol. no wild horses though. great vid!
Great stuff. I was born in (a different) Cumberland, a few months before it was renamed Cumbria. Good to know the county name lives on. Thanks for sharing Matt!
just a wonderful video the BBQ looked good made me hungry wish we could get food like that here in California we get overcooked pasta with Rague and that Italian BBQ is they have no clue
So cool! What an epic day of flying that was! Any chance you can maybe do a video for us plane geeks and talk some more about N367HP and the pros/cons/likes/dislikes of Bonanza's from your point of view?
This is literally the video I've most been looking forward to publishing for almost the past year, so I really hope you guys love it! It's just incredible how much you can get done in one day with an airplane.
thx for upload!
Hi Matt, can I ask, what do you use to attach your cameras to the windows? Thanks.
I love how those guys just helped you push the plane back!!!
The added drone video makes this a Top 10 in aviation videos. Its more like a Movie than just another aviation video. Extremely well done.
I should never watch your videos on an empty stomach. I loved everything about this video.
I just had lunch and now I want BBQ 😂
My dad was an A-4M/A-7E driver with VX-5 in the early ‘80s, was RTB in to NAWS China Lake in an A-4 one night after a cross country, he set the mains down and as he slowly lowered the nosewheel the landing light illuminated a herd of those wild burros gathered on the runway. It was great being part of your big, busy flying day! We need to meet up more often. Thanks for the great collaboration.
Absolutely, Sun n Fun’s coming up again soon! And thanks for getting all the shots I couldn’t!
That has to be the most beautiful taxiway I've ever seen lol. God lord that's gorgeous
ROCK ON! I met Jack when he flew into Arlington Flight Service at KAWO for fuel, on his last leg home to Fresno. You two are in the kind of ‘fraternity’ we all would like to be members of, but then all pilots belong to a unique segment of the population.
That was EPIC, definitely in my top 3 favorite aviation videos of all-time. Thanks for bringing us along Matt.
Hi Matt, I enjoyed very much this latest video of flying in Florida, North Carolina and Boston. I truly appreciate your effort in posting your flying experiences and sharing them with your followers. Thank you, again, and please keep doing it!
Really fantastic drone footage. So fun to come along with you on all your flying adventures. You are the best editor in this space. Keep 'em coming!

It is great fun coming with you on your flights. Today was great with the horses and such.
Matt, I just passed my private checkride today and came home to find this video. last year i flew to BQ1 with my instructor and wished i had taken some videos of it. awesome place and great barbecue.
Man, so great to see the world from your eyes. Great job.
One of your best videos. Thanks for sharing. Love BQI. Nice landing there by the way!
This keeps getting better! Drones takes are amazing Matt! Thanks for sharing.
Another solid video, Matt. I love your mission to spread the joy and practicality of general aviation. Side note, I just started watching Peter McKinnon and loved the stuff you guys shot a couple years ago. I recognized you immediately.

Matt, quite possibly the best video to date. Great job.
As always Matt, thx for letting us fly along with you 😃
They should make the house a four-way thing. You have a road on one side, a dock on another, a ski trail on the third side, and a hangar with a taxiway on the fourth. That would be incredible.
Great video. I'm headed to BQ1 next week for my son's 12th Birthday. Cumberland Island was awesome, reminds me of home.
Sweet.
Excellent video Matt...Really cool landing at 22:50...Thanks again for all the great videos
That's how I watch the local (jet) planes land... I live in Wellington, New Zealand. Typically have a strong cross wind knocking planes sideways!
Looks like a long but great day Matt! Thanks for the ride along. I had some good memories from life at ERAU near where you started at Spruce Creek and now in Boston where you ended. Now if I can just find some good bbq!
I now know how big your cahones are after seeing you handle that lgt/mod rime ice situation. Great video!
I used to work at KFHB when I was in high school, at the time it was 55J. I am glad to see the aviation community to grow in Fernandina especially with the new terminal they've just built. Cumberland is also a awesome place to visit, I've sailed in there from time to time to explore the ruins.
I had an amazing time watching this video! Thanks a lot Matt! Thanks for showing us some completely otherworldly way of life!
What an awesome day!
Thanks for the video work required, allowing us to 'ride along'.
I try and find every excuse to land at private airports (with permission of course) especially if they have grass runways. I still have to go check out 7FL6. Great video 👍🏼
Thanks for another fun video. Multi state trip with grass and paved strips just shows what a great all around plane the Bonanza is.
Thanks for the lift!!
Cool beans 7FL6 is my home airport. You actually parked right in front of my hanger on piper taxi-way two lines of hangers in front of The Downwind. I'm actually from Alaska but have not flown up there yet. Great Video.
Great video Matt, glad you are able to share all your experiences with us!
Thank you for sharing! Great video like always.
Great shots and damn good edit. Thank you for taking us on your trip!

Wow, that place (Spruce Creek) was pretty awesome...a pilot neighborhood how awesome. And that food looked super good too.
Fantastic Video Matt! Love your channel!👍
Loved it, love flying with you. Keep it up!😀
Awesome video,Matt!! Wouldn't that be the best community to live in??!! Thanks for sharing
I was on Cumberland Island almost thirty years ago attending an event for one of the old mansions, Plum Orchard, and the Secretary of the Interior flew in to attend the event. Pretty sure they landed and departed on that strip in a King Air. That was a big day for those horses!

Really interesting. Another great landing. A beautiful island. Awesome houses in those days.
The Song At That Airport Restaurant. That Is What Liked The Most Made Me Give This Video A Thumb Up.
Hey Matt I am just now beginning to watch your vids and not only am I loving them but I am super jealous that you have that tip tank BE-36! I love the STC tip tank conversions! Keep up the great work man!
I live a few miles out from the Spruce Creek Fly-In, glad you enjoyed it. The "Downwind Cafe" has great food.
I never thought I'd see Gray's Creek airport on any UA-cam videos, much less Matt's. Learned to fly there 25 years ago - and took my checkride in N6743H!!! Love the videos.
What a life you live. Awesome video, one of my favorites by far.
BQ1 is a great place to fly on the weekend - the BBQ is OK, but the fellowship among pilots is great! Just don't botch the landing - you are being graded.
Amazing video Matt! Love your adventures

Great video Matt, editing and drone work made it look very professional. Looking forward to our next flight with you
The drone shots were really well done. I think the wild horsies have lost their fight or flight instinct. Gray's airport is so retro. Gotta love the flashlight fill.
Horses now thinking traffic no factor.
Didn’t I hear you say you lost an alternator??
23:03 no thanks. Impressive landing for sure!
Best video so far!
Loved the 4K thanks Matt
Great landing at 23:45 of the video. Good work, love the videos you are doing awesome.
TWO THUMBS UP ON THIS VIDEO... You hit a "Home Run" on this one 5-stars. The fly-in community is beautiful.
Good job Matt! Love your enthusiasm for aviation, and the fact that you can share it with us! Great video as always!
Pik N Pig is right near my house! Ive been waiting for you to go there!! The best bbq in the area
Enjoyed that! I was actually on Cumberland Island a few years ago. Cool place.
Hi Matt - totally enjoy all of your videos and this one is extremely special. Thanks so much what an interesting perspective and fantastic experience that most of us will never be able to do. Really enjoyed it love it tremendous thank you
A truly amazing and memorable day. Thanks for sharing this one!

Great day trip. Thanks for the ride along! Couldn't really taste the bar-b-que though.
Nice landing at Barbacue Matt nice job brother nice job 👍 safe flying to you
Excellent video. The aerial shots using drone is fantastic.
Loved this video mate!!! Keep them coming

I don't know if it is appropriate to admit this, but I have fallen in love with your Bonanza.
7:25 this is what my very first landing looked like
Good for you, I've seen much worse from pilots with many "hours".
I'm a regular at BQ1. on a good day the place is loaded with bikers, planes of all sorts, local peeps, etc.... that wooden fence along the parking lot is typically packed with people who are all judging your landing lol. no wild horses though. great vid!
I like that there is BBQ at BQ1.
Great trip. You said the magic words "I'll do a 180".
Really nice landing with the wind.
Great Content as always! Go on Matt!
Can‘t wait until my flight training for PPL starts this year! So excited! 😊
I really enjoyed the ride along. Thank you.
Great stuff. I was born in (a different) Cumberland, a few months before it was renamed Cumbria. Good to know the county name lives on. Thanks for sharing Matt!
Really appreciate these videos on a 0 degree day in Wisconsin!!!!!! Thanks
Another great video Matt! Hoping to shoot one soon going into to 4R9. Awesome little strip on Dauphin Island in the Gulf. Safe flying!
Wow, i love your bright landing lights. I wish more GA planes had those.
just a wonderful video the BBQ looked good made me hungry wish we could get food like that here in California we get overcooked pasta with Rague and that Italian BBQ is they have no clue
Hey! BQ1 Is a whole lotta fun. Took a DA-42 in there.
beautiful cross wind landing
Great trip , many thanks.
Hey, my uncle lives in Spruce Creek! Never been to the airport but the neighborhood is great.
So cool! What an epic day of flying that was! Any chance you can maybe do a video for us plane geeks and talk some more about N367HP and the pros/cons/likes/dislikes of Bonanza's from your point of view?
Epic trip! Thanks for sharing
MARS is waiting! Next, to the STARS!
