I know this is an older video, but you can also use a 6mm socket instead of a piece of plastic pipe. I just put the 6mm socket on, place a small piece of metal between the ratchet head and the socket, and voila. I think the rachet helps as you can get a little more purchase and force behind it as opposed to a small screw.
Thank you! I needed to do this on a 2013 RR Sport. This was the simplest and easiest procedure to replace the lower glove box that I found. The left pin was a bit more difficult to remove but it eventually popped. After that it was a 10 minute job to replace the box and put everything back together. To time 30 minutes (left pin accounts for 15 min of the time).
Hi, thanks for the vid... My glove box is an effort to close for some reason, may have to take it out and have a look at it... The catch works fine but I really have to push the door quite hard to get it to close and come into the latch...
@@ZipZapDIY thanks, but fixed it now... Some items had somehow slipped behind, preventing it from closing... Squeezed the pegs either side allowing the compartment to totally flip open, then removed items. All good now 👍
Great video. However, the handle that one pulls to Open the box in the first place simply came off in my hand when I went to open the box. And of course now the box wont open. What now???
Nice mate , thanks for the upload. I need to take out my CEM Module From Behind Glovebox in my LR3. Do you think it'll allow ample access to the Module
So I’ve got the glove box out, how do you take apart the cover from the inside to gain access to the latch? My latch is broken and it’s bumping on the front passengers knees🤣
Very helpfull video . Is it the same for range rover vogue 2007 ? I need to program a key and i need the cem . Is it located there? Thank you in advance
If you are talking about the 2 screws that secure the panel underneath the glove box, Those are specialty captured screws. i looked on some parts diagrams, couldn't find them, and sorry but I'm not going to snap mine out of their retaining plastic to measure and then wonder where they went in 6 months! :) They are pretty thick, maybe a number 10 screw or larger with an over sized pan head
@@ZipZapDIY thank you for coming back to me as i spent 4 hours google searching parts diagrams etc yesterday and got nowhere and i know its weird the sizing not mentioned anywhere except for remove two screws but talked about in all glovebox references...
oh and meant to say best video as I'm a 49 nearly 50 yr old woman and i managed to get through process because of your video! mind you i nearly lost my mind trying to reattach orange connector at rear of cjb as had got green one relatively easily 6 hrs later the other... but i got it!
Removal should be nearly identical. I've not seen a replaceable handle or looked at repairing one, you may have to replace the whole lower glove box (used $150)... www.roverlandparts.com/2006-2009-range-rover-lower-glove-box---black-4-4l-sport-and-4-2l-supercharged-sport.aspx

Thank you! This was 100% helpful as my LR3 passenger footwell light was disconnected and I needed to find the connector and fix it! Respect!
sweet, bonus.
Hi. You helped me a lot with this video right now. You showed it all very well. Thanks !!! 👍
For the 6mm tube, I used the body of a pen (Pentel RSVP)
Great idea , regards mark
Thanks for the video coz that is what was bothering me

I wonder if something has come loose.. there is not much in the way of adjustment down there

This is great, but where can you just buy the lid?

Very helpful video! Trying to access the window ECU on my 2007 LR3. Do you know where it is located? Thanks!
Are you sure there is a separate ECU for the windows on an LR3? I don't see any reference to one in the workshop manual.
Hi , is it easy to change the ac blower !! And the blower is behind the gloves box , my car is LR3 2009 v8
dont know.. but i'm going to find out soon enough, i've got some bearing squeal coming from my fan at certain speeds :(
ZipZapDIY I will be waiting , because there’s no air coming from the ac vents
Where were the gloves?
they are in storage, no need for driving gloves in Florida.
would that be the same on Range Rover Sport 06 , my handle has broken on mine is there a repair or do i need to replace
