Nice work! I'm glad they're getting fixed up and put back into use by other people who will get a good long life out of them! also I seem to notice that Primary caps never fail prematurely, even the more generic ones are still decent.
Cheers mate, yeah keep these things out out the trash is what I aim todo. Yes this is cheap crap but at least it works. Also you are correct primary caps always seem to last longer even though that have a much more stressful job todo which is strange in my opinion because always the lower voltages ones fail ;)
I have a logik 32 inch TV, not the same boards as this, its one with the inverter and tubes though, it comes on fine and then after a minute there's a speaker crackle, and then the backlight will die, turn off and on at mains and same thing, no bad caps on main, I wondered if you had any thoughts on this? My heads telling me it's something to do with maybe a loose connection on one of the tubes, iv checked for dry joints and the usual suspects. Any help would be appreciated. Ty
After watching this video fully, it sort of confirms what I thought, I'll strip it down tomorrow and check the lamps, maybe watch them while it shuts down and see if I can see which one is sketchy

Ewww, that's real dirty. It's a shame the whole thing won't fit into an ultrasonic cleaner. I hate working on rotten stuff.
+orbiter8 (John) Haha yeah every tv I get has mounds of dust and debris its nasty. This one was full of smokers dust just plain nasty ;)
It's making red light refuse to open
