First of all, I want to start with a big thank you.Our TV, Nu7400, had the same problem. At first, there was an atmosphere of excitement and panic in the house. Then with a little internet searching we came across this helpful video of yours. We have repaired our television by doing the steps you have shown. I'm really thankful that the problem was with the pins.I give a 10 for this helpful video. Good luck in your life.Greetings from Türkiye
After viewing your video I knew this was my problem also, but I was kind of afraid to fix it myself so I figured I would let a repair shop do the fixing. I explained to him everything and I told him that I know the exact problem and its repair solution. But that POS THIEF wanted to charge me $175,00 dollars. He told me all kinds off bullshit lies. Anyway I decided to try it myself, so low and behold, I fixed it just as you explained it on this video. So I truly and humbly thank you. May God always keep you and family in his blessed care and love. Stay safe, stay strong, good luck and Godspeed always to one and all
We have exactly the same model of tv which had developed the same fault. Opening it without the tool was a bit tricky, but we found that a cutlery knife did the trick ( made sure power was off for safety!!). We put a bit of thin sellotape at around the 10th/11th pin in from the edge on the same area as was shown to be successful in this video. Works perfectly!! I'm unable to see any type of deteriation in overall picture quality, no dead lines or faded areas etc. Your video has done the trick, thanks for posting this video. 👍👍👍
Thankyou so much, was about to give the tv away if anyone wanted to try and fix it then came across the video. It worked!!! And it took me longer to get the back off than it did to fix 😆 saved me a few hundred pound buying a new one!
This worked for me, thank you so much!! It took a bit of trial and error and I ended up covering some pins on the lower ribbon. It’s been a few hours and no more jumping!❤
I have the UE50RU7400 which is basically the same tv, only the release year and tv leg differ. This worked great for me and I am very thankful. I could not have come up with this.
Grazie grazie grazie!!!!!!!!! Sei fantastico
😂 just want to give a BIG THANKS. Have a 85in Qled that "had" the same flickering problem. Sure enough the tape fix worked in the same pin position.😊😊😊
Hello, thank you sooo much!! This video saved my Tv ! I was going to change the tv but then I saw your video. PS. a TV technician in Italy couldn't fix it!! 😂 Thanx again for the video! This could help a lot of people!
Ciao, ma in sostanza cosa c è da fare? Mettere un pezzettino di scotch sul connettore e vedere spostandolo se la posizione è giusta per fare smettere lo sfarfallio?
Thankyou so much for this, you saved my Samsung TV that had the very same problem from the scrap heap! I tried your method and it works!!!Thank you!!!!
Hello could you tell me how do i fix it exactly, do i just put the tape on the pins i find bad? And when i do that do i put the pins back into place with the tape on? Im 16 years old by the way so i dont know what im doing 😅😅
After watching your video I shall give mine a try.. I think the problem is that manufacturers design things with a shorter life. I remember the earlier CRT TVs going for 20 years plus, although you did get fading as the phosphorus dot became older
Wow, i can't believe this worked. My TV has been on for 10 minutes now with no jumping picture. The pins I taped we're the opposite to the ones in this video; mine were the bottom ribbon cable, bottom portion. Thanks a million, you've saved me from having to get a new TV for now 😊
@@grantwebster4547 everyday cello tape. Nothing fancy. I found that I didn't need to be that accurate when taping it to the pins, unless I just got lucky. It did take a few attempts to find the affected pins though. The width of the cello tape was about 10 pins long, so about half a cm. (I think). Best trying to get a setup like this guy in the video. I pulled an extension cord that had a switch on it over to the sofa where I had the TV. You'll have it on and off a few times no doubt. I also found that my power cable clicked in, so was quite difficult to remove. In fact I near pulled the board off the TV when trying to remove it. So when removing the power cable, push down on the board to avoid that. Just to confirm, the TV has been on for a total of about 10 hours since I did this, and still no flickering.
@@grantwebster4547 I don't know the whole story, but I'm assuming that the signal coming from those pins is conflicting with something else (perhaps it's out of sync) and causing the flickering. I believe the ribbon cable is only going to the screen, so it's only responsible for picture, but I might be wrong. You'll see that if you cover certain portions of pins, different parts of the screen go black. There's another thread on the Samsung site discussing this problem, and people are finding that certain chips are becoming overheated and they're trying to remove and replace them without much luck. I assume this is a way to disable the signal from those chips without having to remove them. I noticed as well that my TV runs alot cooler now. Before, it was quite warm to touch, especially along the bottom. Whatever this has done, it now runs cooler too. It's worth giving it a go. I was going to end up replacing it soon because of this problem anyway. So I'm looking at it like I've saved myself the cost of a new TV.

hi had the same fault sorted it and blocked the pins etc , and about 1 hour later the screen started to jump slightly ?? why would it does this even when the pins are still blocked ?? thanks for yor help
HI wish to say thank you for the video which is very clear. I have a Samsung TV model no. QE50Q60TAUXXU with the same problem. I tried to cover some pins of the flat cable on the right panel and now it turns on with audio and backlighting on but the screen remains black. when I tried to disconnect just the right side panel cable, the TV turned on but unlike your video, the left side couldn't be seen anyway. What can I do? Grazie Sergio
is it a case of moving around the cellotape to work out which part of the TV is faulty and block that part out? I have tried a few ways and getting half a TV etc but then cant seem to stop the flickering. please can someone advise?
I tried all you explained in the video, but my screen is still blank, I can see it is turning on as the screen it is turning in dark blue but no image, when i pres menu button on the controler I can hear some audio. I suspect aT con problem, as I read on internet, but I can not find this T con board, could you please guide me where to look for it? Or it may not have a t-con and I just need to change the connection strips? Thank you
Hi, I have the exact tv. My issue was a the reboot every 5 sec. I've covered the pin number 2 from the top ribbon. The issue now is that ther eis no picture on the screen( there is sound and backlight). I would really appreciate if you could please tell me how to fix it. 😊
does anyone know if standard cellotape works for this please? I have been messing around with where to put the cellotape on my pins but seem to be struggling to get it right
The problem with this fix is that it is, by definition temporary. It only works because there is "redundancy" in the affected lines between the two sides. If one side goes, the other will most likely follow a few months later. Offload the set on some other poor mug once you've "fixed" it would be my suggestion - and never buy a Samsung set second-hand!
I try on 55NU8000, if i disconnect one cable (up or down) full black screen , if i isolate lower connector i see half screen , if i isolate upper connector : no change full screen: Possible not the same connector pinout on 55NU8000??? thx
Leaving comment in hopes someone else has same problem, as I did not try this (little to complicated for me), resolution change & factory reset did not work. I have a screen fast jump (or flicker) up just a small amount, it does it about every 3 seconds, it starts after the Toshiba TV is warmed up. I am using TV as a monitor, and the strange thing is that while in window explorer the top TABS do not jump or move??? If anyone else is having the same problem and finds a fix for it, please leave a reply comment.
I have this TV Sambsung RU7400 under 4 years old and the flickering and jumping starts when it gets warm, about 80 90 minutes. With so many of us saving this problem it must be a bad design fault. I will think again about buying another Samsung.
I bought my samsung smart tv brand new and it only takes 15 days 😢 it goes flickering. I took it to their service center and according to them its faulty board 😢😢 i regret buying it

@@Bornilene2 Esatto, io l'ho messo proprio in cima il pezzettino di scotch ed ha funzionato subito. La tv non ha avuto più problemi !
Does it work until now?

Amazing you are A genius man 😊
Thank you, you saved my tv
I didnt even count the pins. Just random plonk of tape and worked instantly. Thanks
