I just bought your book. It's so beautiful! So much useful information and the pictures are amazing. Well Done!
@@rita7851 thank you we worked really hard on it 😁
Your enthusiasm is infectious brother
Hi mate. Do you sell anywhere else. I choose never to use Amazon for personal reasons.
Great videos. Keep them coming!
I have a serious inflammatory illness that has become debilitating over the last few months and Yarrow has been on my radar and I’ve been wanting to grow it. Yesterday I went outside and there was Yarrow all over my front lawn so I harvested it all. A tincture is brewing and some are drying to be used to make oil for a salve. It was like manna from Heaven, a wink from The Creator.
❤Amen
Have you tried turmeric golden paste … it’s my miracle paste …
did it work?
A famous Dutch herb-lady (Mellie Uyldert) said that herbs appear in gardens of people who need them.
Mother Earth, Mother Nature. All herbs are pagan. Monotheism has attacked our freedom to be with Mother Earth.
APPALACHIAN GIRL HERE, SOUTHWEST VA. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR SHARING THIS WITH US AND HELPING US UNDERSTAND THIS AMASING PLANT
We have it all over here in Henry County. I use it for many things from tea , tintcure to powder for cuts. It's May and already some blooming this year

Yarrow is one of the highest regarded herbs when dealing with trauma and depression. Its also great for treating wounds and helps stop bleeding.
Any tips on how to prepare it as a treatment for depression?
@@woodsy3495 There is a company called Flower Essense Services. They make wonderful flower essense drops you can take during the day and Yarrow is one of the main ingredients. Like Rescue remedy but better. Or you can learn how to make it yourself, google is a good start.

He's too good for TV 😊
I thought gou were gonna say, "This man is high as kite."
This is his own program. Putting it on TV would only ruin it.
Right!
Big pharma wouldn't allow it,
My grandmother,s tea for the heart was made from equal parts of self heal, yarrow and dandy lion leaves.
How long did she live dear?
Same as mine. She lived to be 96yrs young!
There's a drink in UK called dandelion and burdock that has been used for medicinal purposes in the past
Shoalwater Bay Native American here, thank you so much for informing people on the traditional medicines. You're amazing!
Thank you & I'm grateful for you watching our video 😁
Thank you for this helpful video.
I love learning about the herbal medicines and edible plants.
Bl. Ann Catherine Emmerich had supernatural knowledge from childhood, and Yarrow was, indeed, according to her, the best herb to have around.
I got lazy about turning over a pile of horse manure last year, and the yarrow took over! I'm also expanding a border of nearly-hot-pink yarrows and I love it! And I love my pale-yellow, silver-leafed one too. Variegated yarrows are so underrated.
Love Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich! Thank you for this info!
Ooooh I had a dream about an Indian (a bindi, not feathers,) woman I’m Native American concerning her telling me to use yarrow cakes for something. She pronounced it yawdow (“d,”rolled her tongue on the rr!) strange I think. It grows wild on my reservation along with echinacea and wild bergamot.
So lucky
Now this was an amazing confirmation for me years ago I was told in a semi wake dream state to use Yarrow and Yellow dock back then I didn't know what Yarrow was I woke up searching for Yarrell on Google and found it eventually powerful herb.
All three of those are powerful in the mundane and spiritual
What are you smoking before bed? I need to get me some of that.
Here in the UK, Yarrow grows all over the place.
First herbalism teachings encountered in mullet form. 😂 Solid. Gratitude for the wisdom and lore. ❤
Lol
Apparently the smarter type of Viking used to mash yarrow into a pulp and mix it with pork fat to be used as a salve you applied directly to wounds before they went out to battle.
I think it is. I've used it effectively for blood poisoning, toothache and infection, bleeding, cuts, sores, on a goofy looking skin blemish my doctor was concerned about, athletes foot, jock itch, ear ache, sinus infection, flu, colds, that man made biological weapon that was causing such a fuss a year or two ago,and as a once a week just stay well tea.😊 It's my favorite plant.
That identification part was really helpful hedge parsley looks similar to yarrow too. Tall white flowers can all look so similar when starting out.
Love yarrow. I used to make bouquets with it along with fireweed. It made for a beautiful arrangement.
I was delighted to identify the plant which I have been picking and storing all my life (in Croatia). First time I meet its English name. In my Croatian plant books they mention that some people might be sensitive (or even allergic) to yarrow so you should start easy. Maybe that's why the dog sneezed so much. We use it for stomach problems too. I enjoyed the video which brought me back to my youth, when I started picking yarrow. Thank you!
Just be sure it's that and not hemlock !
I have stomach problems with antiinflammatory drugs yarrow, nettle and Devil's Claw cause similar problems.
great comment - i visit croatia alot and want to identify some of the new plant matter I find . Do you know any English copies of herb identication booke in croatia? Kind regards
@@aimeelovric
I am so glad you found my comment of interest. Thank you!Sorry but I don't know any English books on that matter. One herb that you definitely mustn"t miss, and it is flourishing all summer, is hypericum perforatum (its Latin name), and popularly called Our Lady's herb (Gospina trava), or Iva trava (Iva herb). Infusion is scientifically accepted as a mild sedative, also good for liver. When freshly cut flowers are soaked in olive oil, its excellent for skin diseases.
Maybe Latin names could lead you to correspondent plants. E.g.yarrow is achillea millefolium.
I wish you a good harvest of herbs! If I find other Latin names, I can write them down for you. Kind regards!
Dude, you seem like your already transported. All good because you have really touched your deeper interests and shared with us.,💜😢
I love how excited he is, very infectious!
Its hard to believe people don't see it. One small plant is now in patches all over my yard. I cut flowers and bring them in. I'll have to dry some of the leaves out and try a tea. Good information!
I pick it for my vase too...its a lovely flower and leaf. 👍
I have Yarrow growing in my lawn. I knew it was a good plant so I don't remove it. Thank you for bringing me even more information about this wonderful herb.
Wow I learn so much from your videos. I was immobilised earlier in the year and couldn’t get out to my garden to do anything so I’ve let Mother Nature be my gardener and guess what, she’s blessed me with a lovely patch of yarrow! So happy you taught me to identify it and learn about it in-depth. Blessing to you and your family.
Isn’t it crazy how a ton of yarrow growing wild in the yard is like treasure to us, but to most of society it’s a nuisance and needs to be eradicated. Maybe one day we can educate enough people to make a chnage
I have fibro and yarrow, cramp bark and Jamaican dog weed. I came off 4 medications for pain taking these. Nature is our medicine cabinet, not chemicals.
It’s amazing how nature provides what we need ❤
Yeah, plant medicine. Real medicine. I appreciate the enthusiasm you have for Yarrow uses. Kinda humorously at that.
And appreciate the Achilles fable. Thank you
I love this !!!! Youd be the best guy ever to go on a hike with haha 😄
It’d be like going for a walk with a male dog.😂
Praise God for making such a plante
Acts 20:7 says the church met on the first day of the week

Amen!
I grew up with loads of these plants all around in Scandinavia. i knew about the aromatic smell when rubbing the leaves but had no idea it was a healing plant :) thank you for sharing
Love the neanderthal reference. Those ancients must have been walking botanical encyclopaedias.
The other day I noticed deer eating something on a rough, mixed area of lawn. Then yesterday as I walked the area I noticed this plant amongst the others. "Yarrow" popped into my head out of the blue. Part personal memory, part ancestral memory and partly the yarrow calling out to me I like to think.
Love this great knowledge, thank you
The plants do speak to us. The Christian invaders crushed our knowledge of these things. Embracing folkways is embracing truth, embracing roots is animistic shamanic paganism.
I am from America.
First time I ever heard of this plant and it is found in my state, thank you for sharing.
What a well made video! Your passion for herbs is communicated superbly!
😁
Here I am listening to this and at 1:30 am harvesting my yarrow leaves before the freezing temperature that will hit us in 4 hours. Thank you! ❤🙏
You are such a great Teacher and Herbalist. Thank you so much for sharing Yarrow with us
I have used yarrow to draw out large splinters,,its works
Very well👌
How?
thank you for the unforgettable video. The stories behind it are so memorable that they will last for a life time. And the comparison between plants is also very memorable and well done. You are very talented. Thank you.
Thank you 😁
Am already quite familiar with Yarrow, but always learn something new from your vids about the plant's properties & /or uses. Cheers!
Cheers!
I love how you add the stories, latin name relation to the plants and mythology, its great!
When i was a kid, it was well known about squeezing up a few yarrow leaves and plugging a nostril for a bleeding nose! So great to see this in your video, and remember all these little things id forgotten xx thank you
Yarrow will stop a nose bleed? Can it?
Depending on how severe the nose bleed is. Dad got some of his nose bleeds to stop by packing nose with yarrow. Nose bleeds were due to blood thinner. When the blood was poring out, it didn’t work. Only with the lighter nose bleeds did we have success.
You have an infectious enthusiasm and a splendid mullet. Thanks for the video on such an awesome herb.
You are so lucky to have a field of wild, medicinal herbs
I am starting out in forging at the age of 54... I love your videos so much. So clear. I love that you show the poisonous look a like to the plants. Looking forward to getting your book. You both have made me more confident here in the USA. Central NY. Again thank you so much for doing every step, from identifying, seeing look a likes, how to make it into what it is used for, history, and you show it so even beginners can follow. (slowly) GREAT JOB. Does your book show the poisonous plants that are look a likes? Will domestic garden yarrow (yellow) work the same?
In Croatia people have been making delicious drink out of it by putting flowers in water with bit of lemon and letting sit in Sun for few days.
Yarrow tea has been used for generations and as a kid my parents used to make it for me when I was sick with fever.
Cools the body quick and helps with fever.
❤. Thx for sharing!
Can you do a vid of making Yarrow balm or salv from scratch...it would be much appreciated, love the channel by the way...keep up the good work.
Why, when there are numerous videos already? The concept is the same no matter who makes them. 😉
You know what guys I bloody love you, just sat and rewatched this, brings back lockdown vibes and togetherness ..... what a world we live in. Keep going with you amazing videos, we love you guys and wish you a Happy New Year! xx

Just found you and subscribed. Thank you. I'm turning most of my front yard into a no-mow, mostly edible, landscape. I'm hoping to have less ongoing maintenance and a special place to enjoy. I do have lots of yarrow in my yard which I've been ignoring. Now I will embrace it, propagate it and enjoy it.
Fantastic- love the bit about Aarow the herb of Achilles with countless leaves. I am doing a guided walk tomorrow and Yarrow is the first plant we are looking at. I had some of this info already but now have a load more! Thanks!
Best identification video.tons of information 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great presentation, education on the yarrow medicinal. Enthusiasm and bird life sounds are outstanding.
Spirit has been pushing me to forage this herb. Tarot and intuitive reads keep showing me this plant.
Yarrow is a miracle plant.
Thank you ..... this is good to know and it will be good to start using the plant.
Yarrow worked on a big bad bruise I had: tincture, 3x daily, applied liberally for a week or ten days. This clearly dispersed the bruise twice as fast as normal.
I never knew. Walking through them, I just appreciated their fragrance
❤ thank you!
This is the most joyful info-doc on Yarrow ! I planted a small crop of it this year and now know everything I needed to know about this powerful medicine plant! Thanks brotherman. Subbed !!
Excellent info. Now I am 100% confident I can identify Yarrow on my walks. Thank you.
Pleased to hear it! 😁

Enjoyed your video! Learned something new! Thanks all the way from Utah, USA!
❤️💜💚
The smell of Yarrow takes me back to my childhood in 3 different nations. I love the odor. I will pick parts of the flower maybe a little umbel of 6 flowers and push them up my nose. I often feel as if my nasal passages open more.
This is very useful and helpful information thank you. It's important what you taught about noticing the differences in the stems and leaves.
That was awesome 💯👍♥️
Amazing...so amazing I walked into my garden and found yarrow in 10 seconds inmy flower beds (I'd always seen it a a common weed) thank you for sharing your knowledge...peace my friend
Thank you for such an educational and beautiful video on the medicinal yarrow.
Thanks for taking us out to the Dowie Dens of Yarrow. Such a useful herb, I learned a lot.
Amazing Video, Amazing Herb!
Dude- you are captivating. Well done.
Brilliant channel brother 😍🌱🌳🌿🌲💚
Thanks for this. Fascinating. I thought it was too strong to take internally due to clotting. I stick leaves on cuts when I'm gardening to great effect. It doesn't seem to like my current garden, maybe the soil is too moist or nutritious. I'll find a rough place for it.
Yes, it tends to apparently prefer previously disturbed hard ground, particularly an old dirt road, gravel driveway, walkways etc. compared to nice, dark & fluffy garden soil. Also, partial to dappled shade produces a darker green leaf and overall healthier looking plant than full sun, in my experience.
I love Yarrow plant!
This is brilliant, we learned so much from this. Thank you so much ✨
Your welcome 😁
Thankyou for educating on the beautiful yarrow plant
Sioux tribe here. I am looking to heal. Thank you for the video.

Such a lovely guy and so well presented and informative video, thanks 🙏
I introduced a friend of my kids to yarrow today, she had a cut on her leg. The great thing is you can find it just about everywhere - including well mowed lawns, minus the flowers of course.
I love the flavour of the leaves, it's similar to parsley. Take it from me, it goes really well with fish.
I recently landed on GardenTube and maaaan all of you have such a good energy and vibe 10/10 will stay for life 💛🙏
I love how ur so passionate when describing the herbs.
