Betty scores her 11th H/H match today! Here's the updated leader board for the 8 celebs to have scored 3 or more H/H matches so far, ranked by their current accuracy scores: Orson - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Betty - 52.4% (11 wins in 21 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 46.7% (7 wins in 15 attempts). Charles - 44% (11 wins in 25 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Richard - 32.3% (40 wins in 124 attempts). Brett - 28.6% (6 wins in 21 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 273, excluding the lost/missing episodes 31, 32, 33.
And the contestant did a pretty good fake out when she chose Betty! (She'd chosen Orson, Brett, and Charles for the suggestions. Usually a contestant will choose one of the three celebs they'd already chosen - especially the one who gave them a winning suggestion on the audience match. It's pretty rare to go back and chose a fourth celeb for the head-to-head match! But she obviously knew what she was doing and won the big money with Betty!)
Oh, how funny! The answer I decided to give to the Brett and the buzzer guy question was the same one the contestant gave! I knew kill would be more popular, but I still got two matches from the celebs!
I think that was Gene rule that they all agreed on althou Brett and Charles have broke it many a time. Gene doesn't like seeing people eating on camera. Althou smoking and chewing could be done while the camera was not on you by just watching the cameras and the monitors.. Althou Charles has also been caught on camera while smoking something.. ;0)
The general rule was that smoking was accepted, but not talking with a cigarette or cigar between your lips. When characters in movies and TV programs did that, it showed how very uncouth and low-class they were, the same with chomping gum noisily, cracking it and blowing bubbles. I don't think he really would have said anything about Brett's gum-chewing except she did it very visibly while speaking.
Once again: This IS the 1970's. You cannot utilize 2021 standards while comparing behavior from over 45+ years ago! Nothing personal but between the sexist pigs and the cognitively challenged some of these comments border on unrequited ignorance and malignant stupidity......
BRETT is already on her way getting pretty drunk, she cannot be quiet. She has to make sure she upstages everyone! And the drunker she gets the louder she gets. I don’t know why they keep her here all these times I know it’s because of Jack Klugman. Because he’s the one that gutter that job on the show to take his place.
ROFL! Another fine after dinner episode! :0) ROFL! Love ya Gene! ;0) ROFL! Love ya Charles! :0) ROFL! Love ya Betty! ;0) Love the entrances, acting, voices, silliness and all Gene.. ;0) virture, that is as bad as losing it while skiing? ;0) Now I know what they mean about a bouncing baby.. ;0) Love the celebration Gene and all.. ;0) 8 sentences huh Well that was a short career on the telie.. ;0) kiss?! Thank you Buzzr man.. ;0) PHD pretty hair and dull.. ;0) finger? hoof.. ;0) ear.. corn?? drunk?? naked.. blindfolded. compress.. ;0) Mae West.. ;0)
That was her sense of humor. She was hilarious. She also constantly picked on whomever was in seat number one, which was always a man. And Brett constantly got picked on by everybody. They even wrote questions about her.
I love Betty's blouse - it would still be chic these 50 years later. 💐

opening is hysterical
Dawson: "Take two, they're small". Ha!
Take one: Take two there small. LOL 😂😂😂😂 I couldn't stop laughing
*they're 🙂
Beautiful Betty & Brett & Dr. Brothers
One of the very few episodes where the contestant leaves Richard alone altogether in the bonus round.
Love this contestant, he's hilarious
Panelists:
1. Orson Bean
2. Brett Somers
3. Charles Nelson Reilly
4. Dr. Joyce Brothers
5. Richard Dawson
6. Betty White
Betty White did a great fake out with Tinkerbell!
And the contestant did a pretty good fake out when she chose Betty! (She'd chosen Orson, Brett, and Charles for the suggestions. I'd bet money that Charles would've answered "BELL" as well, but whatever. Glad the contestant got the moolah.
8:10 proof that betty and Brett were good friends despite their funny (and slightly rude-ish) quips at each other
The guy contest looks like a movie star I like how he looks and he's funny!
I love chuck's personality I wish I could meet someone like him darn!Elizabeth
Bret drives me crazy. She has to be the center of attention at all time
I think chuck is hansom in his own way ! He has a great personality also and nice smile Elizabeth 😇
*handsome? 🙂
Orson was always my favorite. So cute, so smart.
I just love this show I wish I had been right there in the audience
The lady contestants were wonderfully color coordinated
❤💚.
Way before her fame, Dr. Joyce Brothers won $64K in 1955 on The 64,000 Dollar Question...that was a lot of money then! Still is actually.
Contestants were given the answers
18:00 Huh, no one came up with my first thought: "Before I can read the will, you all have to be..." dead.
That was my answer to, I didn't even think naked.
RIP Betty White.
The question about Brett and the buzzer guy is too funny. I think we all know that, given the opportunity, she would've killed him.
What's up with Orson Bean yelling out whenever he thinks a question is suggestive?
I liked HIM OK, all except for that and his gaboon viper.
@@deanstrand4260 It's just him. He was a bit loud and goofy.
Brett would never kill the guy on the busser how could you say that
@@elizabethvasquez3618 You obviously have never seen this show. She and the BUZZER guy have a very antagonistic relationship.
Oh, how funny! The answer I decided to give to the Brett and the buzzer guy question was the same one the contestant gave! I knew kill would be more popular, but I still got two matches from the celebs!
Joyce brothers was the Dr Oz of that time. Was more of a media hog than being a psychologist or psychiatrist
Loved it!
Southerner would have said "Slap yo mama""
Lol! Chuck the contestant was a character.
Dr. Brothers said finger when she was writing her answer. The question should've been thrown out.
I like brett
I wonder if Dr. Joyce Brothers knew that Brett never went to college.
LOL.
No surprise
funny they have a no chewing gum policy but smoking is A okay

Smoking in most public places in the 70"s was still allowed
Jan was one STRANGE woman. 😳
Why is brett always eating? So rude to chew during answers
Nasty

Can't believe no one thought Chuck looked like Minton Berle!!! Anyone else?
I immediately thought of the old Dan Ackroyd SNL skit: "Fred Garvin... Male Prostitute."
Milton Berle
@@80sEricThat's a hell of a call back!👍🏼
I think that many a criminal in the old days would be acquainted with slapjack...
Dr Joyce Brothers was perfect today, 2 attempts to 2 matches.. ;0)
My first thought was that she lost her lunch while bouncing on the trampoline.
Haha!
Baby
@@helenlogsdon7822 Yeah. They would never have gone there on daytime TV in the 1970s.

I really think Brett hated other females being on the panel, she sure makes rude comments to them all the time. She was such an attention hog.
That was her sense of humor. She was hilarious. She also constantly picked on whomever was in seat number one, which was always a man. And Brett constantly got picked on by everybody. They even wrote questions about her.
Kitty totally agree with you. She ‘‘twas just funnin’
🙄 stop being nasty towards Brett Somers. You just don't get Brett's sense humour at all.
@@Kitty-ek6br THANK YOU
Her style of humor is insult humor, like Don Rickles. It's not to my taste, but lots of people like it.
I think that male contestant's right hand is his best friend.
Except you don't get children that way, and he had them.
6:09 I was wondering if/when either Richard or Betty was going to say _"slap and tickle,"_ although I was fairly sure it would be the Englishman.
