The ability to immediately liquidate any and all items in my tabs has made me feel richer than any league in the past, it's also kept me playing longer because of more frequent substantial upgrades to my character. I've played every league since 3.1 Abyss and never more than a week or two but this league I'm more motivated than ever.
The exchange is a godsend. I played even pre 3.0 but having a couple exalts in my tab was a wealth. My most invested build was only in synthesis, winter orb, in which I poured some currency and did 36/40. In this league I'm constantly upgrading my gear for 1-2 divs, then 7 divs, bought a shield today for 13 divs. I'm selling and buying a lot and fast. Great feeling to have more smooth and fast progression and see how your currency strategy pays off immediately.
Love the currency exchange for all the reasons listed. My biggest relief is when I need say a few deafening essences for crafting. Gone are the days where I have to scroll the bulk on the website hoping someone replies. Now I can just be like, "Give me 9 deafening woes" and the exchange goes, "Done."
When selling maps, if you want to avoid people asking you for just a single map, list them as 250/50 chaos per map. If you have 50 maps, and they're 5c each, it will only allow people to whisper you for 50 maps. This works for all trades, although it's mostly just useful for maps now because of the currency exchange
Just want to say that this is truly something newer players need to know, nicely done Ziggy! :) I just did this yesterday after farming casually for a week and went from 30 div and 200 chaos, to 98 div and 3700 chaos in under an hour, that is even with setting the cutoff at 30c per trade. A small tip if people feel like they are short on gold for liquidating, go with eater of worlds for your alters and use scarabs that adds packs and packsize, they are usually quite cheap on the currency exchange, mix it with just ambush on the map device and you can easily make 10-15k gold in each of your maps and they are quite quick if you have a decent character.
Even without using something like Wealthy Exile, I am just liquidating all my items via the Currency Exchange and I am richer than ever before. It's lovely and it takes so much less time.
At 8:50 on selling maps - just add "/1" to the price, i.e. if you want to sell strands for 4c or whatever you'd set 4/1 as the price in chaos. What this does is it forces it to show up ONLY on the bulk side of the trade website, they won't be visible on the individual trades, so anyone who decides to buy your maps is most likely looking for bulk
I'm a "casual mapper". I generally get to T16 maps and maybe push regular Elder/Shaper/Conqs. Richest I've probably ever been was 5 divs. Thanks to videos like this, along with the Currency Exchange, I made 3 divs just today with the scarabs and cards I've picked up. It's not a lot in the grand scheme, but I'm up to 10 divs right now! Feels good to not fully rely on my friends who actually know how to price and trade things. Though they generally reach mapping after Day 1, so I still bum incompleted maps from them lol.

Dude thank you sooo much ive watched all the guides and not one of them mentioned this???? Crazy. I quit a week ago because I just wasnt feeling the income or progression that I wanted. The top parties will overpay, hence the "scarabs being too expensive being priced for t17 maps" standpoint. There's an old saying, in a gold rush, sell shovels. I have also realised this league, I've never been poor, i just content do the smaller trades to get a leg up. That first 30c is a huge power boost that can let you clear red maps with single target boss rushing, or quickly clear white or even yellow maps in 1-4 minutes. There's also stuff like market memory, we saw this a lot in affliction, where the black morrigan recipie for links was released. People had market memory for tabula and 6links being expensive, but you could make it 6link replica faaruls fur with a 1d base and 60c of beasts by the end of week1 invest of spending 10d on the market
@@FlareFluff They aren't overpaying and buying bulk has always been more expensive than minimum listing values. Buying things one at a time at minimum values is terrible even for casual players; it loses you xp, atlas completion, and costs currency via opportunity cost.
Issue usually is and was that the smaller currencies tend to be a pain to sell if you didn't farm a dozen stacks of it, but now you can sell a few essences for some chaos and start stacking small amounts each map quite quickly. Scarabs and maven chisels sell very well too... no one wants the tedium of selling one item per trade/whisper though.
A note on selling bulk maps. Don't just list one map or all of them in your public tab. Lets say you have 60 dunes maps you want to sell, 4c each. I'd put all of them in my public tab that doesn't have any global price set and set the price of one of the maps to 40/10 chaos. That way people searching in bulk will only able to whisper you for 10 maps or more (multiplicative so 10, 20, 30 etc) and this map will not be listed in singular search, so you won't get spammed for single map. Also the reason you want your tab to be public without set price is if you'd do that, all of the maps would be listed as singular, so you would get spammed. And you want all of your maps in this tab so the site shows the actual amount you own and your offer would actually be listed.

If the current best offer for opalescent oil is at 21c, then I wouldn't make an offer at 18c, but at 20c. The current lowest offer is only at 21c, because everything below that was sold out - which means, everything below that is an acceptable price. You dont have to undercut the market that hard (unless you want to sell urgently, but then you might as well just take the best current buy order and go with that ;) ). Also, if there is only 1 item offered at the current lowest price, I'd even put my offer on the exact same price. Time to "automate" the trading with something like Wealthy Exile, could be a nice feature to get a recommended list of items to sell, so you just put that in.
I did a lot of C with the Exchange in early league - you could buy certain scarabs for 1c each and resell it on the exchange for 3-5 😂 I basically printed money 🌚

In the last section u can do that whole convert gold to chaos faster by 6 link crafting the most expencive 6 link uniques that sell for like 1c normaly with no links. You convert 60k gold into 50-100c roughly.
This might not be thé best place to ask, but I just remembered something, you played DnD with a (german?) Dungeon master in the style of PoE. I cant for the life of me find this content anymore. Is it still to be found somewhere?
when i am at 50 divines... i know it got like 2000k divines in trades that i dont want to waste time making.. i rather just play they game.. and use the next divines i find rather than trading all the time..
PoE n00b, here...I don't get it... On Wealthy Exile, lots of my basic lvl 1 gems are listed with 5c. Apparently, this is the same price as on PoE Ninja. In total, they put me at 3.6d for my gems, alone...that can't be right?
I have like double my divines if I converted all +1C items. But... Takes forever to exchange. Plus cost sooooo much gold converting to chaos. Converting to divines are fine. Man I'd love an AH for everything, dump everytgihing down the fucking drain, get currency, play the game!

hey guys I have a new player question. As I'm playing on console - is there some helpful tools that I can use on my phone to help me with price check and so on and so on thanks in advance ❤
Kinda misleading on certain bulk trades, you can definitely price your map tabs to not get messages for small or indiv trades. Also of all the bulk selling method ( currency exchange included ) poe-bulk from the TFT Team is way beyond any other. All the tools lacks markets or convenience.
"you have more currency than you think you do" yes I know, i play console missing out on 50 divines of "crap that I will never sell" because console is dead without cross trade and you are forced to farm valuable strats and builds that everyone runs, driving the prices sky high. Btw 40 div for ralakesh in week 2 on ps versus 3 div on pc. Fun to play😊 I just hoped the content creators would play console for 2 days and shit all over it for ggg to finally do something about it.
Well that is the problem with the game. You need an excel sheet, some 3rd party tool to find what might have some value almong your 1000tabs. Also it's not really worth anything untill you actually sell it
20 divine upgrade... ha... ha... ha... cries in lacerate glad, every upgrade is 40+ div at this point Can't complain though, tankiest build I've ever played, I don't think I even need more upgrades as I won't farm T17 or ubers, I might use my div to reroll.
Balancing the game around full liquidation has made the game so much fucking worse. I hold onto things because I want to use them. I don't want to have to sell and rebuy shit constantly when I have another crafting project.
Cost SO MUCH GOLD to use the in game market. Unless you are skipping this league mechanic then I recommend sticking with the web site trading for now. Low volume trades are somewhat in game though.
The relatively high gold tax is the only thing keeping the economy somewhat reasonable, and that'll only hold so long until the big gold farming strats **cough** blight+shrines **cough** go mainstream

It already has quite the impact on the console economy afaik, although admittedly I'm nowhere near as familiar with the console economy as with the PC economy, but the reason it kinda works is a) everything on console is clunkier and slower just by nature of the platform and b) the playerbase is MUCH smaller and more casual.
Currency exchange is the best thing that happened to PoE since Atlas. PoE only needs an automatic action house now.
For some reason the Fossils that are found in specific delve nodes, like Faceted and Hollow can also not be sold on the currency exchange.
The green side of the graph should be inverted. That way it lines up the ratios with how buying and selling works.
Black Desert Online's central market is one of the best I've ever seen in games, GGG should learn a thing or two.
Wealthy Exile ftw!
It's so good! And I didn't even touch on the fact you can bulk sell/buy and even sell/buy services on there too along with the market analysis tools and farming strategies.
at this rate i fully expect PoE2 to have an active futures trading market XD truly
Time to "automate" the trading with something like Wealthy Exile, could be a nice feature to get a recommended list of items to sell, so you just put that in.
Keep this whole league core! It's amazing!
I did a lot of C with the Exchange in early league - you could buy certain scarabs for 1c each and resell it on the exchange for 3-5 😂
I basically printed money 🌚
If you're interested.. there are transmutes that have.. unfavorable sell orders. And seems people have forgotten about the vendors..
Started using it yesterday after i played the game for 4 leagues now... i dont fully trust it but it did help me track down valuable scarabs and divination cards that i just stashed and forgotten about them. Do doublecheck prices though...
This was very helpful. I learned a lot about market. Ty
Bloody brilliant, thanks!
In the last section u can do that whole convert gold to chaos faster by 6 link crafting the most expencive 6 link uniques that sell for like 1c normaly with no links. You convert 60k gold into 50-100c roughly.
Games so complicated we need add ons and guides just to sell.
Been slacking with it. Haven't used. but this is the reminder. lul
I'm glad I don't have to go through all of this :D SSF forever.
They should get rid of altimatum and keep settlers league
Also should add unique maps or uniques to the trade house.
Hopefully POE implements a trading DOM :)
Currency exchange is great but some stuff have much less price than in website.
I am on my lunch break! Really I am!
yeaaaa got atleast 30d in miscelaceous items, but its bother to sell :D
This might not be thé best place to ask, but I just remembered something, you played DnD with a (german?) Dungeon master in the style of PoE. I cant for the life of me find this content anymore. Is it still to be found somewhere?
when i am at 50 divines... i know it got like 2000k divines in trades that i dont want to waste time making.. i rather just play they game.. and use the next divines i find rather than trading all the time..
Ah yes i forgot about my time runes i just have laying around dude
"You can do it at work"
Me who did it at work:😳
thanks!
how to check available traders on offers??
Petition for ggg to add heist contracts and bp and forbidden tomes if po
PoE n00b, here...I don't get it... On Wealthy Exile, lots of my basic lvl 1 gems are listed with 5c. Apparently, this is the same price as on PoE Ninja. In total, they put me at 3.6d for my gems, alone...that can't be right?
I have like double my divines if I converted all +1C items. But... Takes forever to exchange. Plus cost sooooo much gold converting to chaos. Converting to divines are fine. Man I'd love an AH for everything, dump everytgihing down the fucking drain, get currency, play the game!
I like poestrat instead of wealthy exile because it's not paywalled
My friend and I share a guild stash with all our stuff - I couldn’t figure out how to wealthy exile a guild stash? Maybe I missed the option somewhere?
I have more tabs than this program can handle by a factor of 30
hey guys I have a new player question. As I'm playing on console - is there some helpful tools that I can use on my phone to help me with price check and so on and so on
thanks in advance ❤
Kinda misleading on certain bulk trades, you can definitely price your map tabs to not get messages for small or indiv trades. Also of all the bulk selling method ( currency exchange included ) poe-bulk from the TFT Team is way beyond any other. All the tools lacks markets or convenience.
How do you sell 8 mod maps on wealthy exile?
gold takes so long to get, i need like 250k for 1 day for my workers lol
yea but I dont have the gold to exchange it with :/
The site is eye-opening, but not completely accurate. Rain of Chaos div cards aren't *really* worth 1 chaos each.
Yeah there's a few strange outliers like that you just have to ignore. Usually just very low value stuff gets set to a minimum of 1c
Currency exchange costs too much gold and certainly needs a tinkering with
Well that is the problem with the game. You need an excel sheet, some 3rd party tool to find what might have some value almong your 1000tabs. Also it's not really worth anything untill you actually sell it
Well, I just learned I'm poorer than I thought. Oh well.
tyty cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers
20 divine upgrade... ha... ha... ha... cries in lacerate glad, every upgrade is 40+ div at this point
Can't complain though, tankiest build I've ever played, I don't think I even need more upgrades as I won't farm T17 or ubers, I might use my div to reroll.
I wish console had more players for this to even work lol
Balancing the game around full liquidation has made the game so much fucking worse. I hold onto things because I want to use them. I don't want to have to sell and rebuy shit constantly when I have another crafting project.
I wish they allowed instant buyout from stash tabs... Would make the game actually really enjoyable for casual people.
Only 57d? More like Poor Exile :P
Didn't know about alt key in market, was switching between sell and buy like a dumbass
Yeah I tried to sell my kidney on currency exchange but its still not possible.
Stock market simulator.
Cost SO MUCH GOLD to use the in game market. Unless you are skipping this league mechanic then I recommend sticking with the web site trading for now. Low volume trades are somewhat in game though.
Only bad part is that the gold cost of chaos trading is way too high
The relatively high gold tax is the only thing keeping the economy somewhat reasonable, and that'll only hold so long until the big gold farming strats **cough** blight+shrines **cough** go mainstream
pushing that stuff sucks tbh, though :)
