lol was gonna say , if ones working and the others not… I don’t think you need to worry about the torque on the one that doesn’t …..torque anymore lol. 🤙
If you want torque, right angle impact. Milwaukee 12 volt, or the kobalt 24volt. If u like running in fasteners quick, and then torque properly with a wrench or torque wrench, use the Milwaukee, combo of both is the fuel and long reach fuel. Or if u just wanna zip off fasteners fast you've already loosened, the high speed Milwaukee is best. Coming from a rigid guy I'm finding myself buying more red stuff than orange.
I don't know.... I really love my DeWalt 20-volt sealed head ratchet. But that's the only one. Love my m12 stuff for everything else. But I was about to break down and get the 12v DeWalt sealed head one too.
I also have the 12v dewalt and it's been totally fine. Since I got them all from the same place, they were probably the same "batch" or something. Idk, but it's not my first brushless that has just randomly stopped working. They've always been so new I haven't taken one apart to try and find the failure myself.
I got the milwaukee one laying next to it and it works wonders for me, had it for abt half a year and it didnt let me down once, and the big one with the half inch got like 81nm of torque wich is enough to take the bolt out and it kan take enough of a beating being used as a manual rached to loosen it up so its great, plus with the 2Ah batteries wich are "inline" (not sticking out) its really compact and i found the capacity to be enough with 2 batteries
Damn, I’m sorry about your tool, but I’m very surprised you even out Dewalted me how do you feel about the recent hike and Walt tool prices where they used to be 100 and now they’re 150 at least
I wish I could say the same. I don’t know what’s up with the ones I’m getting. I think I’m going to actually take this last one apart to see what’s happening.
My grandfather owns a automotive repair shop and he bought one, and me also being a mechanic asked him if it was any good, now I wasn’t interested in buying one just because I hate how the battery goes on but I was still curious, and he told me what you are saying, absolutely junk, almost every power tool in his shop is Snap-on, he has a couple of Matco and Mac power tools(Mac power tools are just dewalt) but he still loves his Snap-on, but I did get him to buy a Milwaukee high torque after I showed him mine and he loves it
Me too. But that ratchet makes me mad. I am going to take the last one apart. I just can’t stand not knowing what’s going on with them. All did the same thing.
:( i mean i have the 1/2in of that dewalt and I love mine Id buy another one but dont you still have warranty for it? 1/2in works great and is pretty reliable but I do i agree its hella big and odd sized but since your's doesnt move just use it as a regular ratchet now but ive had mine for like a few months now and I use it for basically everything from semis to sedans
@@DeathTollRacing damn honestly if that happened to me i would’ve probably just kept my money but it’s great when it’s working but I got mine on a deal at homedepot it was like what 215 plus a free 5ah powerstack battery which so far is my favorite battery I’ve got but I’m slowly growing my dewalt inventory but I’ve got my eye on Milwaukees right angle impact it looks pretty sweet
I agree I've had two on the third I was stoked when it came out because I liked the Milwaukee one it's really shit and it's much larger I did buy a m12 which in the only M tool I have
These were so new I just was replacing them at the store. Haven’t had one last long enough to have to warrantee it through them yet. I should send this last one back to them though. But they will just want to replace it again and I’m over it.
this is the first time I've seen the Dewalt ratchet and as soon as I saw it I was like damn that thing looks like a piece of shit. way to bulky and we'll I guess I was right that it's a pile considering you've had 3 now. I have the snap-on ratchet and I love it, hasn't skiped a beat in the 10 years I've had it and it gets used and abused almost daily as in I've used it as a hammer quite a few times.😂 only thing I don't really like about it is the batteries are hard to get out but I also like that cuz it doesn't rattle and has never fallen out. That can't be said about the Milwaukee long neck ratchet I also have it rattles and I've dropped the thing from like hip hight and the battery popped out a couple times
Yeah it’s big. It’s definitely more powerful than the m12, but I love my m12 long reach. It’s my favorite electric ratchet. The only thing that would make it better is if they could somehow magically make it reversible electronically.
@@DeathTollRacing yeah man you said it 😂 can’t tell you how many times i popped the socket off trying to one handedly switch directions with it like shoved in a machine. I still love it though
It did have some ballz. I must have gotten a bad batch. But it was 100% stronger than my 12v Milwaukee. I still don't have one that works, so I can't say. My little 12v dewalt is perfectly fine though.
@@DeathTollRacing I have one I really didn't use much I got used in a shop very little not by me and the head stripped out and if you look online you'll see a lot of people saying that they have the same issue of the head stripping out you can put your hand on the anvil and it just makes noise it doesn't move. I mean that thing can't have 20 hours on it. Ive tried. They don’t do anything. I’m debating taking this one apart to see what’s happening to them. They’ve all done the exact same thing. Work, then don’t. Like a wire is breaking inside.
“took a couple trips across the shop” 💀
lol. It's super frustrating.
Both my 12v dewalt ratchets are awesome. The long neck has paid for itself many times now .
My 12v one is still working great. Don’t know what their issue is on the 20

True it in to a air horn now that it is dead. Then then then.... drive by the local golf course and honk it as the golfer is swinging and enjoy 😂

Yes. I’m a fan of the Milwaukee m12 ratchets
I mean, when you pick a tool set, the batteries aren't interchangeable with other brands, so you just keep getting more of the same brand.
Right!?
I agree 💯, i have the Milwaukee 1/4" , i ordered it specifically, probably the best tool purchase I've ever made lol
I love the 12v dewalt ratchet. I don't know why someone would want the weight of a 10 cell battery on a ratchet.
I have the 12 volt also. I haven’t had a problem with it yet. The 20v definitely HAD more torque though when the work.
Damn, I’m sorry about your tool, but I’m very surprised you even out Dewalted me how do you feel about the recent hike and Walt tool prices where they used to be 100 and now they’re 150 at least
Yeah…. Everything is getting so expensive!
Have same exact model. Never had an issue. One year old so far. Highway diesel tech. I gotta be careful tightening bolts or I will break them.

I’d say I’m glad I’m not the only one, but shame on dewalt for putting these out.
Weird this is the second negative video I seen about this particular ratchet, but most people seem to love them so don’t listen to just one guy😊
They are great until they stop working. I’m not sure what the problem is with them in my experience.
Best thing u have was the battery charger stands on the wall how many can u charge on each stand at a time 5 or more?
8 actually. It’s 2- 4 bank chargers. They are a must have and remove a ton of clutter.
I’m a Dewalt man this is beautiful 😍
Me too. But that ratchet makes me mad. I am going to take the last one apart. I just can’t stand not knowing what’s going on with them. All did the same thing.
I think TTC said the 12v DeWalt was better than the 20v
I have the 12v one in 1/4. It’s been fine, but it’s kinda big for 1/4 drive
I really want the 12v version but i refuse to buy a battery for it. I hate how bulky the 20v is
The nice part is that they use the same charger. But yeah, it’s annoying having multiple battery types.
@@DeathTollRacing oh nice, I didn't know that about the charger
OMG I didn’t see him just come out of the closet in this video!!

They're not meant to have a lot of torque.
I love both milwakee and dewalt but im surprised. What is going on with dewalt lately? Impact wrenches breaking batteries going bad too soon.
I’m not sure. I blame the brushless, but I have a bunch of brushless that’s been great. So I’m at a loss

It’s also the only m tool I have. The long reach m12 is my new favorite.
Nope, I lied. I also have the m12 die grinders and soldering iron. All are pretty good
Have any drills that fail?

how long have you had it? less than a year theyll give you a new one... less than 3 years and theyll fix it. for free. same thing with the batteries
If there was a DeWalt pickup truck, I'm sure it'd be in your driveway.
Lol. Maybe, but I’m not sure an electric truck would work for me very well.
@@DeathTollRacing
Lol. Maybe a DeWalt generator in the back of the truck too.😂
Where are the guard on all those anglegrinders?
Where they belong.
Put the 2.0 high output you will thank me slim and longer last
Will it make them work? I’m not investing in specific batteries for a pos tool.
On paper the dewalt has more tq. But I'd say your Milwaukee has more tq then your dewalt😂
The dewalt definitely HAD more torque. Enough to smash fingers. But it’s too bulky. The long reach Milwaukee is my favorite
The size alone kills the DeWalt. Way to big.
For automotive work anyway
agreed
It's a gimmick because every other company would call that an 18 volt battery
