one night i was scrolling through my phone, feeling like i’d never figure out why some people just seem so magnetic. then i came across this book, Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and something about it caught my attention. reading it was like turning on a light in a dark room. it’s not about pretending to be someone you’re not; it’s about unlocking the energy you already have. trust me, this book is worth every page

We had an incredible event in NYC this past weekend. Wanted to get a clip out as soon as possible. I created this with the intention to keep it very "fast paced" and a shorter video than usual, with step-by-step instructions. I know there's people who enjoy that style so wanted to make something specific for you. Next video in the cue is around 3 hours lol (trying to chop it to around 2 and 1/2 hours). Thanks for checking out the video and let me know what you think. My proper self help event is coming to NYC June 26th weekend and headed to Hawaii for my next series of events in July. -Tyler

Meanwhile, the part you’ve also got to figure out is, when you think like you’re doing, it’s easy to fall into the pit of “trying to be true to yourself”, rather than actually being true to you.
The difference is major, because when you try to be yourself, you do it for other people.
Being true to you, is a lifestyle. It’s nothing you just switch into when you get out to the nightclub. Remember that.

Love how Owen is constantly refining and improving the ideas, content and delivery of his speeches. Obviously, he's not repeating anything new (If you watch his old videos consistently) but how he builds upon his older ideas and synthesizes them with disparate fields of knowledge (spirituality + Instagram) is awesome. I like the written bullet points in the video too! Very helpful to anchor the main ideas.

great example of reaching energy, is at the end of the ted bundy/ zac efron movie, ted buddy's wife is literally yelling at ted from beyond a jail cell glass window "release me". he doesn't have his hand on her at ll, he's on the other side of the glass, but his influence over her life has given her an amazing sense of guilt because she loves him even though he was a murderer. it's very deep and an amazingly played moment by both actors.

  • @VideoAddictx
    @VideoAddictx 5 років тому +3

If you need a written summary/transscript (just as I do) of this great speech, here we go:
    * Attraction is based around the desire for approval or the desire for validation
    * when withholding validation and then giving the validation later, there is a sensation in form of a much higher level of sensitivity
    * the people who you are attracted to, they feel that heightened sensitivity. They are actually very aware of who they get approval/validation from or by whom they don't get approval/validation from
    1. Be Your Own Energetic Island
    - Be the hero of your own movie
    - Be your own party. Don't try to get into their party.
    - You are the giver of social approval NOT the recipient.
    * a lot of physical intimacy is driven by a desire for approval
    2. Establish Your Own Vibe
    - Give other people the space to try to fit into that vibe
    - Don't waste mental energy chasing their vibe
    - Swagger means having an energy people want to keep up with
    * when you see someone who has some real swagger, you think some superficial physical traits of that person are worthy to be adopted (e.g. having a beard, etc.)
    - if you are a younger guy, you will think "That guy is in his prime, I have no chance to keep up"
    - if you are an older guy, you will think "I'm too old for this, I cannot keep up with these young guys"
    * if you are in a venue, where everybody seems to have a great time, you will start wanting to fit in, e.g.
    - in a hipster bar you will want to wear hipster clothes or dance the way they dance
    - in a high class bar you will want to wear a shirt and a blazer
    - in a rocker bar you will want to wear leather
    - etc.
    * Naturally ...
You feel the desire for approval.
You have to stop being the person who is chasing after approval.
You have to be the person who gives approval, who dispenses approval.
    * What most people do, they are always trying to get into somebody else's reality. But you should want to do conversely. You should want other people wanting to come into "your" reality.
    * You have to audit yourself here. You have to ask yourself "What is my vibe?"
    * You cannot trick other people into perceiving you having a good vibe. If you have a genuinely toxic energy you are not going to have good swag, you are not going to have a good vibe, which people will want to be part of.
    * Key-Traits of a positive vibe/swagger:
    - a sense of humor
    - laughter
    - not taking yourself seriously, not being afraid of making fun of yourself
    - teasing each other in a nun-judgmental way

    * When you go into a venue and you are already craving approval or see the venue as a threat, you are already in a wrong frame of mind. Instead you should
    - be laughing
    - busting jokes with your friends
    - talk about things you are interested in and passionate about

    * You have to be on your "own" path
    * Not being reaction-seeking
    * Difference between reaction-seeking and self-amusement:
    - Reaction-seeking: You say something funny and you hope that the person will like it and then bounces that energy back to you and then you will feel good
    - Self-amusement: You're just saying things that pump "you" up. Things that "you" find funny, things that you are just sharing and than "that" increases your mood.

    * When you are the high status person of that environment, people will laugh along with you because they want your approval. They want to go along with the group.
    3. Self-Amuse Don't Seek Reaction
    - Pump your own state
    - This draws other people into your mood
    - Self-Amusement increases status. Reaction-seeking decreases it.
    * When it comes to self-amusement, two factors are key
    - Authenticity
    - Relatability

    * Authenticity is the foundation on which everything is based on. If what you do/say is funny to you but too little relatable, you go off balance and you lose the environment. That does not mean you lose your authenticity if you have consideration for this. Being unrelatable simple means, you are being unfair towards your environment. Don't forget - you are still engaging with another human being.
    4. Balance Authenticity / Relatability
    - Being yourself is EVERYTHING
    - But you are still relating to another human being
    - You must strike a balance between the two
    * Within that balanced framework, what they want to see is the authentic "you". Once you establish that balance, they will start chasing your approval.
    * Have fun with other people as well and don't give all your attention to just one person.
    * What will happen once they are in an approval loop and you e.g. suggest a change of venue (let's grab something to eat, we are going to club xyz), they will want to still get your approval and will comply. Or even if you just bounce within the venue.
    * As soon as you lose that loop of them wanting approval, the "line goes slack" -> it's over
    * Don't try to get them back into the loop. That goes into the field of manipulation and that DOES NOT WORK. Manipulation does not work! You know what does work? Being yourself!
    * There is nothing wrong to purposefully give and then take away. But really the best way to that, is to "kind of" pull away just to be on "my" path.
    * Always ask yourself "Am I on my path?" or do I try to get into their reality? As soon as you feel that you are energetically reaching for the other person, be aware it will not go well.
    * Frame of mind: Never have your own proactivity at the mercy of another person's response.
    * Sample mission: You are going to talk to every person in a nice and cool way from where you stand, up to the other end of the room. If any person is not into it, you are just on "your" path doing what you are doing -> stacking proactivity
    5. Stack Proactivity
    - Make little missions to keep yourself proactive
    - So if someone doesn't like you ... it doesn't take you off your path
    - That way you are self "Self Approving" from YOUR OWN actions
    * At the start of the night, set the right tone. Regardless of however somebody responds to you, you always want to be respectful of their responses. Sometimes they don't want to talk to you ... great, absolutely, yes - see you later. But what you do is - if they are not feeling like talking to you - you can disengage quickly and keep going and it does not mess up your proactivity.
    * Know, when your energy is grounded in yourself and you do what you want to do.Know, when you your energy is "reaching". And reaching energy is killing your results.
    * If you are hoping to be attractive and you want someone to be drawn to you, then you don't want "reaching energy".
    * Counter actions:
    - meditation: getting accustomed to feel good in your own body without requiring external stimulus
° being looser makes you more verbally fluid and it makes you more perceptive to other people's feelings
° trauma release -> releasing negative energy
    - Make some cool friends
    - Have hobbies
    - Have a higher life purpose -> grounds you, centers you
    - Have cool little missions, when you are in a venue
    - Meet tons of people
    6. Meditation Gets you RESULTS
    - Trains your mind not to need external stimulation or approval
    - Frees mental bandwidth to be talkative and witty
    - Frees mental bandwidth to observe people and calibrate
    7. "Approaching" Is Not Pressure
    - Establish your own vibe and have your own fun
    - Offer people ways to join in and engage
    - Some will resonate and some won't. It's all good.
    8. Offer Ways To Engage With You
    - Funny imitations and observations
    - Singing and involving them in jokes
    - Situational comments about dynamics of the group
    9. Talk To Everyone In The Venue
    - Introduce people to each other
    - Over time most of them will chase you for attention
    - By the end of your outing you will have tons of options
    * Even if your life is terrible and you don't have/apply any of the above mentioned counter actions, having some fun little missions in the club can put you in a state of "stacking proactivity". Even if you are in a miserable mood, fun little missions can give you amazing and quick results.
    * Audit yourself -> do you give out too much validation, because you're making it about them OR are you the hero of your own movie and making it about your own energy?
    * Don't answer every question. They have to come into your energy. This is not tactical, it comes naturally, because you are having a good time.

      Spendin time, writin rhymes
Tryin to find words that describe the vibe
      That's inside the space
When you close yo' eyes and screw yo' face
Is this the pain of too much tenderness
To make me nod my head in reverence
Should I visit this place in rememberence
To build landmarks here as evidence
      Nighttime, spirit shook my temperament
To write rhymes that portray this sentiment
We live the now for the promise of the infinite
We live the now for the promise of the infinite
And we believe in the promise (love, love *repeated*)
Yes yes y'all and we don't stop because
      Thank you.

The stuff you say in this video is GOLD, this stuff could be so powerful if you master it. Lately I've been starting to notice this "effect" more and more and actually becoming aware of it and I've been trying to identify the behavior of people who achieved this "effect" on me and this video explains it so well...

there was a time when i kept wondering why some people seemed to naturally draw others in while i was just…there. no matter what i tried, i couldn’t figure out how they did it. then someone mentioned the book Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and i decided to check it out. the way it explains how your aura affects everything around you? it blew me away. it’s like having a secret code to unlock your magnetic energy. this book is a game-changer.

Last answer reminded me to a fishermen: He puts little pieces of bait on the fishing pole, but its the fish who need to bite it. The fishermen wouldnt jump into the cold water and swim through all the dirty water and mud to chase the fish. So put out all the little things youre abundant of anyways, then let the other people come to you. The ones who dont come wouldnt be a good fit anyways.

The biggest thing is going out. Honestly after going out non-stop for nearly 3 years, I was able to understand everything in this video perfectly and it wasn't super new to me. Because I could relate all of it to experiences I've had. But definitely if I had watched this before I started going out, it would've been confusing and I would've misinterpreted it.

i used to think being magnetic was just about looks or confidence, but i couldn’t have been more wrong. i read this book called Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, and it totally changed my perspective. it breaks down the energy and mindset behind true attraction in a way that just makes sense. once i started applying what it taught, i noticed people reacting to me differently almost instantly. it’s seriously worth a read.

Tyler stay with the 2 hr videos it’s who you are bro. First of all it’s you’re screening out the people who don’t have attention span, and creating a legion of focused followers. Also, usually in your 2-3 hour videos you drop gems in the last 15-20 min, don’t rob the audience of that.

"I don't require the perfect thing to say"
    Damn right
Having the perfect thing to say, in my opinion, only matters at 2 moments
    1. Setting the frame
    2. Passing shit-tests
Outside of that, I feel like saying the perfect thing tends to make things worse more often than better. Sure, I can look witty for a moment... maybe a few moments, but I can't CONTINUE saying the perfect thing. I think it puts me in my head and trying to say the perfect thing again.
When I accidentally say the perfect thing, I find it's best to disqualify like, "Damn... did you hear how witty I just was? I wish I was that witty all the time."
Takes all the pressure away from being "congruent". If you continue to have the right things to say, that's perfectly fine. You're witty AND modest. If you don't... it's whatever... they aren't testing your "wittiness" anyway. You've already disavowed it, so it's not incongruent.
Not only that, but high-value behavior invites high-value behavior. If you showcase your wit and intelligence, she's going to showcase her modesty and chastity by suppressing her sexuality.

If you have too many techniques and gimmicks you become unnatural. If you just self amuse all day without any control, you become very unscientific. They key is to find a balance, a good mood plus skill.

    Feedback for you Owen:
I'm in to self development (thanks to you) and you cover topics no one else I've come across does and no book I've read does. Just awesome shit...I love it. I keep coming back to your rsd talks for the motivation and life tips I don't find anywhere else. This video is a prime example...Solid advice. Authenticity balanced with relatability is a huge idea.
Feedback on your presentation - honestly it was better in 2012 lol. E.g. in the video "The right way and wrong way to do things." Ridiculously awesome delivery in your old videos. I think it's a difference in tone, pitch and depth.
