Hi Inga! All your work is amazing but the beautiful sweater with the yoke in green and cream is absolutely gorgeous! You are brilliant! Thank you as always! Yarns also are gorgeous! Scenery is lovely behind you but oh so cold 🥶! Xx 💕💜💕
I really love your knitting podcast - I want to knit sweaters and other things and have yet to do that - you are an inspiration Inga. Thank you for sharing your works in progress and acquisitions - I love to see everything you share. And thank you for sharing about cross country skiing. I learned in my teens how to cross country ski with my Dad in California. We took a Winter Survival Course at a Community College that took us into the mountains to build an Igloo to sleep in over night. We learned cross country skiing - first aide and avalanche safety. We had a beef stew cooked over the campfire and rested well with our below zero rented sleeping bags. We also bought Army Surplus Wool clothing - long John's- and socks that came above the knee. It was my first snow skiing experience that led to downhill skiing. I'm so glad you included this part of the video. I would like to cross country ski again in the future and knit something special to keep me warm for that. Thank you again. So happy and now I'm going to knit on my Mitered Square Afghan on this cold Sunday in Ssnta Fe, NM. I miss California but not the flooding they are going through right now - the good news is that Shasta Lake is almost full and the snow is wonderful there now. All the best to you Inga. Kind Regards, Lori Hanson
Hello Inga, from Colorado! I love your podcast and your knitting is beautiful. You have inspired me to get back in my basket and see what's waiting for me. Enjoy this beautiful world as April brings back the Sun and Warm!
To share with us all your gorgeous knitting, plus the views from your deck is wonderful. THEN, to top it off with 5+ minutes of your skiing and all the surrounding beauty is absolutely stunning. Thank you Inga!
The Cascade 220 non-superwash was my favorite yarn years ago when I worked in a yarn shop and was paid with yarn. It was popular for felting back then and came in so many fabulous colors. Time passed and I moved on to trying other yarns..I recently decided to knit some of my stash and re-fell in love with this wonderful, soft, beautiful affordable yarn. I especially love the Heathers. So many colors to choose from! And so affordable!
Thank you, Inga, for sharing your beautiful knits with us. I love the sweater you knit for wearing when cross-country skiing. Oh, I love all of your sweaters. I love the rust yarn for the cable dress. That color would complement your lovely skin tone. I loved the sun backlighting you; it appeared like a heavenly halo.
Well these are amazing knits and my favourite knits are the check sweater because the colours are amazing. The hot water bottle cover is beautiful. The Nutiden knit is going to look stunning. You have lovely yarn acquisitions. Take care drink hot 🍫 chocolate
Love your podcast. My husband watches it with me. You are an amazing knitter and I learn so much from you. One of our favorite part is when you show the scenery. Don’t ever stop showing us Norway!
Inga your last 3 videos have all been so inspiring. I always learn about new patterns that I haven't seen before, and I love hearing about your local yarns. Here in the US, Cascade 220 is our workhorse yarn! I love it and have knit many items with it over the decades. It is reliable and affordable. For me, it is a light worsted, coming in at 5 sts to the inch on a US 7. Every single time. I can see pushing it to 22 sts for a denser fabric like your ski sweater which you want to be airtight. Beyond that I think it will be too stiff. I find it is GREAT for cabling and it is very hard wearing. I knit Na Craga for my husband 15 years ago and it is still going strong with no pilling or wear. I think that cabled dress will be perfect in Cascade 22O because the cables will pop and it won't stretch out from the weight of the garment. I think the color range is broad, but maybe not the most current. That would be my only criticism. Happy Knitting!
Wonderful Inga This was So Lovely especially to sit outside with you. I love the Layering piece that you have self drafted it is the most luxurious looking cosy item ( The Yarn looks like Bunny Ears so fluffy & Warm, the detail of the hem with Moss stitch & Short rows is Stunning...It's light looking & so feminine. I want to try & make something similar for my hikes in the woods 🌳🌲🌳Thank You For Sharing 💐🤗
What an incredibly beautiful episode Inga! The background view 🤩 and then stunning piece after stunning piece! OMGOSH your Talvinen in the Biches Buches is insane. You are such an inspiration.
Thank you Inga for yet another beautiful episode, and thank you for sharing the beauties of Norway. I live in Denmark and obviously don't have that kind of nature so your video of you cross country skiing was almost mesmerising to me🫠
TU I found ith shawl with your correct spelling. You clearly explain the changes you make in garments. . Having been to Norway (in summer only); I envy you living there. Am very much looking forward t the rest of your episodes. 💖
Thanks for another quite enjoyable video - love how your freeform sweaters turned out. I always enjoy the footage of life in Norway that you include but I especially loved seeing Patrick Mahomes on the tv in your cabin as I live in Kansas City, MO - home of the 2022 Super Bowl champions KC Chiefs 🧶🏈🧶
Enjoyable as always, Inga! Beautiful views and inspiring knits! I just love the skiing footage at the end! As a cross country skier myself it’s always lovely to see others enjoy the sport on beautiful trails! ❤
Greetings from Wyoming in the U.S. We are experiencing a frigid bit of weather, as well - minus 19 Fahrenheit. I love to see you wearing all of your creations with that gorgeous backdrop. I still can't fathom how you accomplish so much knitting while holding down a full time job as a doctor. You must be a magician.
Your aesthetic and ease of knitting is as beautiful as your surroundings. Thanks for getting my early Saturday morning off to a very calm and relaxed start.
Your Talvinnen is so great! I love it! I enjoyed mine a great deal, I keep making them. I made size 5 and it’s nice for layering, then I made size 3 with merino and silk mohair and cropped it and it is fitted and fantastic. I can’t wait to see how yours turns out!
Thank you for sharing so much beauty! I made the Talvinen and wear it all of the time! The image of the flying eagles / hawks is so stunning! Your videos make me want to cross country ski. The one time I went, as a newbie, it was up and down hills and icy! Knitting wins my heart over all else! Thank you for sharing! 🐑♥️🐑♥️🐑
Oh Inga, I did enjoy your video so much! What a view! You are so priviliged to live in such a breathtaking part of the world! And of course, your knitting is beautiful! Hugs from The Netherlands!
I can't believe you get so much knitting done while working as a doctor! Love your podcast and your wonderful, calm energy. Always look forward to seeing that bit of nature at the end.🏔🎿
Hello Inga and thanks for these videos and for the images at the end of the video of your country, for me who was born and live in the sun and in the heat of southern Italy, Norway seems so distant and foreign to me but your videos make me feel it closer and more familiar, with its beautiful Nordic landscapes.
Thank you very much Inga for this amazing Video with so much beautiful things. Have nice days with snow and knitting your beautiful projects. Lovely regards from Germany 🧶🙋🏼♀️
I feel so inspired seeing the things you are creating. Thank you so much, Inga. I just finished two hats with the Cascade 220 In a deep Heather purple alternated with a skein of violet mohair that also has a lavender sparkly strand in it. They both are lovely. I wish I could know a fast as you because you showed at least four projects I now want to make!
Again, all the knits are beautiful. I think you picked the perfect color for the cabled dress pattern. That beige will be elegant and you will be able to wear it everywhere. I am knitting my current sweater out of Cascade yarn, Heritage in the fingering weight, in size 3 and 4 needles US size. It's taking a long time but I'm on my last sleeve. I'm knitting the Little Cables Raglan. So far it's looking good. I love your view on your balcony. It's got that WOW factor. I keep thinking there should be a huge amount of snow on those hills.
I love, love, love both of your self-drafted sweaters. I'm a bit fascinated with the pattern in the Islander sweater, and want to try it in a pullover for myself. I'm working on a fingering weight pullover in J & S 2-ply. I also find that my hands prefer smaller needles, so although it takes longer to get to the end of the project, my hands are happier along the way. I also like lighter weight sweaters because I can wear them throughout more of the year. Thank you for sharing the gorgeous Norwegian scenery!! I'm always excited to see the next episode show up!!
Oh! The outdoor setting takes my breath away! What an incredible backdrop for your knitting. I love hearing how you plan out the shaping in your garments; your descriptive thought processes give courage to other knitters. Since I felt like I was skiing with you, may I count that as some of my exercise today?! 😊After two days of shoveling about 16" of snow in Minnesota, today is my day off from exercising!
I’m very late to the party as I’ve only just come across your videos but after watching this one I am now subscribed. Your knitting is beautiful, especially your kofte. Your colour palette is very much that of the colours shown in the lovely landscape behind you, however, I did have to smile when you produced the red and yellow for your Olympic jumper, but then I think you surprised yourself too with those !! Looking forward to seeing more episodes. 😊
Your last couple of podcasts have been super informative and helpful- describing how you add short rows near the neckband join to conceal them is one bit of wisdom that I’ve learned and incorporated into my latest WIPs. Thank you, keep the tips coming ❤️❤️And love seeing your beautiful view and all the rustic Norwegian wool
hi inga!!! as always, i send you warmth and love from aotearoa new zealand 💛💛💛💛 i remember this episode from the first time i watched it - you made me so interested in unspun yarn
I'm in central Canada and Cascade 220 was the first yarn I used for making a sweater. It's very affordable here and nice quality. I agree about the softness. From watching your podcast, I ordered myself some Hillesvag. Both the Sol and the Tinde bases. I find it quite rustic but super warm for my current -20'c weather. I really like your ski sweater you made. I might have to try making something similar :)
You have the Best English and vocabulary !!! Where did you learn English ? Your podcasts are amazing and always a pleasure to watch !! All the best from Rhode Island USA
Hi Inga thank you for another great podcast with absolutely stunning views. As always your projects are lovely. Not sure if you know this but Wool Warehouse dies Cascade yarns and they distribute worldwide. Thank you for showing us your skiing trip, take care and keep warm. As always Looking forward to your next podcast. Xxxx
I just love your Podcast and just started viewing it in January of this year - I am watching your current episodes as well as catching up on past episodes from when you started. Your gorgeous projects, your incredible talent and productivity are so inspiring to my own knitting, along with your beautiful surroundings. My husband and I are cruising to Norway this summer and making 4 stops along the West Coast, so I am excited to visit yarn shops and purchase some of the beautiful yarns you talk about in your podcast. We love the same color palette! Thanks so much for sharing your knitting with us.
Hi Inga. More perfect content. I always have at least one new item in my queue after watching your episode, or, I own a new pattern. Which is great! As a Canadian, cascade 220 is a wonderfully affordable, easy to source option. I have a few sweaters in it. I do love it, except - it pills! But I wear my sweaters a lot and find the yarn lovely and soft. Can I just say that the speed that you knit at is quite something. Every two weeks you have a whole bunch of new finished objects, and just as many wips (lots close to done). During that two weeks, I might have 1 sleeve knit up. How do you do it, and work full time? Amazing!! Your such a joy to watch, and we share a love of the “earthy tones”, which makes it even better.
Another enjoyable podcast. At some point can you talk more about your cross country skiing - can you just jump on a trail from your cabin or do you drive to the trail. Do you need a ticket. How far you go etc it just looks so beautiful!!
I can go from the cabin just outside my door but we sometimes drive to different places to ski on different trails for variation, its all free but some places you have to pay to park the car😁
You are so talented Inga and I love that lilac sweater 💜. I’ve said it before but I love how you show a variety of different yarns. It really inspires me to start trying different kinds of yarns now 😊.
I am so excited after seeing your Nutiden project! I was lucky enough to purchase 4 plates that are on their way to me! I was unsure if the project I have planned for this beautiful yarn would work but after seeing your project I am even more excited! I also will be holding my Nutiden with silk mohair!
Thanks Inga, had to laugh when you were talking about which Cascade colour for your dress, I thought 'Yes! go the orange, she's already got beige' but no...Love your Talvinen so far, it has a delicate quality I hadn't noted before.
Hi Inga. I so enjoy your podcast and projects. You're such a talented knitter. Would you please share more about life in Norway. You mention you're a doctor, what area of practice?
Would love to see a link to the beautiful Aito Shawl by Melody Hoffman. First time I was inspired to knit a shawl. At 1:55 in vid. Just discovered your channel via an irish knitting. Your sweaters are simply lovely. I love your channel.
Ahhhh, the Friday fix! Thank you again ! I’m knitting a new sweater too! It’s my “Inga” sweater. Inspired by one of your knits that you took up to Tromso. Ivory and dark caramel stripes. It’s cold at home too. 20f, with 30-40 mph winds! Brrrr. Thanks you as always for the inspirations! Hugs, ClaudiaSJI
The Fields of Gold sweater is one of the most original sweater designs I've knitted. You can tell from that pattern that she's a very creative and intelligent designer!
Hi Inga, I love that you are knitting that 1994 pattern! It’s going to look fantastic with your American yarn. Old patterns are inspiring. Fashion continues to repeat itself with a few minor tweaks. The one specific one on my list is the #08 Shawl Cardigan by Norah Gaughan, Vogue Knitting magazine 1990. The magazine is actually available at my local library. 😮Thank you for sharing everything beautiful. You, your knitting, and your surroundings. 💕Heidi from Chicago
I’m knitting the Kai fella right now and it’s so much fun! It really gave me the intarsia bug and now I want to include this technique in every sweater I’ll make. I don’t know why but I was so scared of trying intarsia when in reality it’s so easy 🫣
You should be a spokesperson for Norway Tourism! You are a lucky person to live amongst such beauty and thank you for sharing it!
Hi Inga! All your work is amazing but the beautiful sweater with the yoke in green and cream is absolutely gorgeous! You are brilliant! Thank you as always! Yarns also are gorgeous! Scenery is lovely behind you but oh so cold 🥶! Xx 💕💜💕
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous view, the skiing and your beautiful knits. Enjoying your podcasts!

Hello Inga, from Colorado! I love your podcast and your knitting is beautiful. You have inspired me to get back in my basket and see what's waiting for me. Enjoy this beautiful world as April brings back the Sun and Warm!

Your aesthetic and ease of knitting is as beautiful as your surroundings. Thanks for getting my early Saturday morning off to a very calm and relaxed start.
You are so welcome!
I love when you filmed outside. I am so envious of your views! I live in the southwestern part of Ohio, USA and there are no mountains here.

Enjoyed the knitting, the view, and the skiing!
Hello Inga and thanks for these videos and for the images at the end of the video of your country, for me who was born and live in the sun and in the heat of southern Italy, Norway seems so distant and foreign to me but your videos make me feel it closer and more familiar, with its beautiful Nordic landscapes.

Lovely view behind you on the video. Great to see the jumper you are working on from the Aussie designer Knitwits and Yarns!.
I have that same cabled dress saved, excited to see how yours turns out. Worth the wait.❤️
Your new projects are exciting, and I'm looking forward to watching the progress.
Funny! I'm in Minneapolis and was shoveling too! I love Inga's footage of cross country skiing as we go out skiing a bit here too.
That can deginetely count and im sure the shoveling is even more exhausting😁
Oh this is so amazing. The best Friday thing. Thank you Inga!!!!!

You are so talented Inga and I love that lilac sweater 💜. I’ve said it before but I love how you show a variety of different yarns. It really inspires me to start trying different kinds of yarns now 😊.
Thank you so much!
You knit so beautifully. Watching you has made me venture into colorwork. Got some Marie Wallin and Alice Starmore kits. Wish me luck.🤞
You can do it!😁💕
I enjoyed seeing you styling all your knits, so thanks to your fingers for their sacrifice. That cable dress 😍
Beautiful Norway ❤️
I can't decide what is more beautiful, your functional/practical knits or the view?!!
💚 watching what you’ve been knitting while I knit with you 🧶 💚
Tusen takk for en koselig episode. Du lager mye vakkert :D
Hi Inga. I so enjoy your podcast and projects. You're such a talented knitter. Would you please share more about life in Norway. You mention you're a doctor, what area of practice?
Surgery now, ob gyn for the past 2 years
Would love to see a link to the beautiful Aito Shawl by Melody Hoffman.
Wonderful! I love that hehe😁🥰
You knit such beautiful sweaters! Thanks for this interesting podcast😊
You are so welcome!
The Fields of Gold sweater is one of the most original sweater designs I've knitted. You can tell from that pattern that she's a very creative and intelligent designer!
Definetely! Im in awe
Im looking at making that too. It's gorgeous. Working with nutiden, can you rip your work back if you make a mistake, or does it fall apart?
Hi Inga, I love that you are knitting that 1994 pattern! It’s going to look fantastic with your American yarn. Old patterns are inspiring. Fashion continues to repeat itself with a few minor tweaks. The one specific one on my list is the #08 Shawl Cardigan by Norah Gaughan, Vogue Knitting magazine 1990. The magazine is actually available at my local library. 😮Thank you for sharing everything beautiful. You, your knitting, and your surroundings. 💕Heidi from Chicago
What a beautiful place you live in ❤️ I hope to visit Norway one day!
I’m knitting the Kai fella right now and it’s so much fun! It really gave me the intarsia bug and now I want to include this technique in every sweater I’ll make. I don’t know why but I was so scared of trying intarsia when in reality it’s so easy 🫣
