Inga, do not worry about overlocking your sewing projects, French seams or flat seams are great options. They look much neater than overlocked seams on cotton fabrics. I hope you will enjoy sewing! It is not so portable hobby as knitting, but also very cool.
You have the most calming, gentle demeanor. Your little Nelli is blessed to have such a wonderful, talented Mama... I'm sure you're just as wonderful as a doctor. 💖💜💕(Your videos bring me such Joy and for that I thank you, Inga 🥰)!
inga, i first found your podcast 3 years ago. i could crochet and i knitted as a child but never very well. you inspired me to dive into the world of wool and now it’s a part of my daily life. i’ve been spinning for a year and now just getting acquainted with my first wheel!
The Lola dress looks amazing! Happy that I tuned in, I have the same booklet and was already thinking about this mammut project. The wooden buttons look amazing with the red.
Oooh I’m excited to see your Favo! That will be a beautiful color for it. I’ve been wanting to make it again (I made one a few years ago) I can’t remember if there were short rows in it or not, but I would consider adding some (or more) because the back of the sweater is significantly shorter than the front!
Ok thats very much noted then!!! I dont like a short back hehe and i definetely always need more shortrows, ig i remember correctly you wven knit it longer aswell
Well, all I can say is that I LOVE everything! You have marvelous taste Inga!!❤ Been doing a lot of baby toddler knits for my granddaughters! They grow so fast, they keep us in business don't they?! Looking forward to the blanket knit along! I bought a lot of yarn from wooly knits, love it! The colors are amazing, and you can't beat the value! Enjoy your trip and that little cutie!❤❤😊
Thanks so much for another calm, relaxing podcast. Your colours are beautiful, your knitting patterns are stunning and getting a glimpse of the Norwegian countryside at the end is an absolute dream. Thanks so much for making my day!
I love the color work on your hot water bottle cover! And I'm excited to see Nellie's striped sweater(s). I have been thinking about making myself a narrow-striped sweater with some unusual color pairing, although I have no idea yet what colors I want to go with. Thank you for the wonderful podcast, and a chance to knit with you. I'm working on the first sleeve of a summer cotton-linen top. I'm also working on a fingering weight garter shawl that I hope will be a new travel shawl -- something that is cozy, big, and goes with most everything.
Great catching up with you, Inga! Your Norwegian landscapes are second to none!! Enjoy your sunny summer with your family☀️🏝️ For your cotton fabric, I recommend to wash and dry it to pre-shrink before you sew. The Front Tie Dress by SydGraham here on YT has a full tutorial and would be nursing-friendly.
Oh your knits are so beautiful especially the blanket for Nellie. The knitted colourwork hot water cover is so lovely. Then the red dress I hope you will find the correct buttons. The circular blanket for Nellie is so beautiful. I like the yarns have received are great and I always knit in Aran Yarn. Take care and ❤
Thank you for another lovely episode. I appreciated hearing about the naturally dyed plant fibers. My sister in law is allergic to wool and misses out on the beautiful hand dyed yarns. I will check them out. I also loved your hot water bottle cover. I’d be thrilled to receive that for Christmas!😍🥰
Lovely to see you today ❤ The Lola dress is absolutely gorgeous and you look stunning in it ❤️ the drape is perfect for a floaty, summer garment! Loving the outfit for Nelly in the orange colour - she’ll look so cute 🥰
Big white fluffy dog! Fabulous. That little pink sweater, oh my goodness I want one in my size. That's my color. But my favorite line was "sewing gives me stress." There isn't a dress on the planet I could want enough to be willing to sew it myself. 🤗
So happy for the blanket MAL coming up! Have been toying with the idea for some time and this really is a good chance to get going😊. Would really love some pattern suggestions for the Woollyknit Aran-yarn if you have any! That booklet you had might be hard to get by😅❤
In my State we got a lot of rain this year which has led to flooding and a Dam falling apart, but my family and I are fine. Inga you and my Friend are devils on my shoulder with buying Yarn and I am on a NO Buy! But I have used up about 10 skeins of Yarn So far along with Fabric.
@@knittingtraditions I might have and when I was driving home from the Yarn Shop it came to me a Cardigan and the ones that I am wondering is the Felix Cardigan, Winter Beach Cardi or the Novice Cardigan. The Color is Book Nook by Lavender Lune.
How much fun to knit for Nellie! My daughter weaned herself to a cup at about a year old. It was so gradual and natural that I barely noticed at first but she began drinking from the cup at meals - grabbing ours until we got her a child sized one with a lid. She pretty much did the same with hers - their weaning seemed pretty simple too. Yay for healthy, happy babies. Thanks for the link to Jennifer Knits. Perhaps I'll visit it one day when we're visiting those grandkids! You do seem to be enjoying motherhood. It's lovely that you can remain home with her so long to learn who she is and heal your body fully and establish whatever schedule you can make work for your family. My vote is for the white buttons with the touch of gold. Happy travels.
Hi Inga lovely to see you. Amazing knits - i dont know how you do manage it all, with Nellie aswell. Have a fab holiday. Much love ❤❤❤ ps gold coloured buttons on red dress perhaps?
Can you just stay home with us, haha! Love everything, Inga! I bought from knitting Swan and she was so nice using your code. I love the blanket KAL. I'm in! Stay well! Have fun with Nellie! - All the best, Kimberly
I do think your finished objects looks always very neat. I love the lola dress since you started it and the water bottle is impressive you did it yourself. The Nellie sweater and romper are so cute 🥺🥰 i love to see the boucle looking yarn from jennifer knits and they look so soft
Your dress is beautiful ❤I love to hear Nelli talking in the background! The footage at the end is amazing! Your blanket MAL sounds fun with Woolyknit!
Thank you Inga, for a lovely visit. I am so enjoying all the baby and toddler knits that you have been making for Nellie. I loved the sweater you are wearing, gorgeous colors and it looks great on you. Wow, that cashmere is wonderful, I could almost feel the softness just looking at it😂. You live in a very beautiful place. My Grandfather was from Norway, I hope I can visit there someday. Take care, see you next time. Have a great time on you vacation.
Yes I agree weather does feel a bit autumnal I’m across North Sea near Newcastle on Coast and I bought new electric blanket ha! Ha! Your knits as always gorgeous! Love red dress umm buttons ?. Think I would take the dress to yarn store and match up?.. you could always wear full length slip under dress which could be comfortable and give a defined look! Love all your colour choice for yarns! Thank you podcast as always! Xx 😘🧶😘
❤❤❤ Thanks Inge for planning the Blanket Make Along. More than enough lovely gray yarn for Fisherman sits in my stash. The Ultimate Book of Knit Afghans arrived from an Ebay seller today. I have plenty of time to swatch, and I can,t wait until October 1.❤❤❤
I sure did! 🥰 just watched a little tiny bit on Saturday but saved the rest for a peaceful Sunday morning and watched it while knitting my pineapple summer top from atelier ajour. Enjoy your beautiful family and your knitting, oh and have a lovely holiday! 🥰😘
As someone who loves to sew and knit, I have been sewing for many years now you don’t need an over locker to make your dress. If you just use the zigzag stitch on your sewing machine after you have done your regular stitch that should be the same as an over. Some machines even have an over locker stitch as well. Good luck. I love your videos and your baby is precious.
As an Australian nurse we are discouraged to recommend rubber hot water bottles. In our vascular ward had 3 admissions of burns sustained from them bursting/breaking and causing terrible scold burns. Better to use a wheat bag. We use heat packs only in the hospital setting.
Det hadde vært så koselig og hatt en knit along med Sunnfjord koften fra Sandnes, spesielt nå som det er en gratis oppskrift. Da kunne du ha stikket den over lengre tid sammen med oss ( uten noe stress) ♥

From what I've heard about linen, it feels dry because it is indeed very dry, but when we wear it it absorbs moisture from our bodies and becomes softer. Seems to match my experience.
Yea, now the weekend is complete! Not to be too personal but did you guys get a new dog? It looks like a Samoyed? I had one as a kid, truly a great dog, but needs a lot of brushing!
