40: my birth story
Inga...still working her magic while being a brand new mother. Nelli is a very blessed little girl to have you for her Mama. 🥰💖🥰💖🥰💖
DITTO🥰💖
I agree ❤❤❤
I remember the young medical student introducing herself thru her family tradition of knitting. Now she greets us as a new Mom. She shares her time of early motherhood. When I saw her baby nestled in the carriage , I thought, what a blessed child wrapped in the love of the family tradition of something knitted
Thank you for this cozy episode sharing not only all of your knitting but your birthing story. It’s wonderful that you felt so supported especially while it was a challenging time. This is a story you will carry with you forever. Hearing Nelli’s baby noises was the cherry on top.
I have the same approcha towards knitting and sewing for children, I always go for bigger sizez and fold the sleeves and legs, because the child can use that garment so much longer this way. Love from Poland! ❤ I enjoyed the labour/maternity leave part a lot ❤❤❤
Mothers are super human, well done for birthing your baby and knowing what you needed. You're doing amazing 🧡 thanks for sharing not only your beautiful knitting!
I love how babies in Scandinavia get fresh air and sunshine, even in winter, nobody does that in the US. I hope the practice spreads here
She wont even nap inside anymore, outside she sleeps for hours😅
Inga, Thank you for your birth story and all the gorgeous knits. Having Nelli beside you and hearing her coo was priceless. What a lucky girl she is to have such wonderful parents. ❤❤
Thank you so much!
Such a beautiful picture. Happy knitting 🧶. And such wise words. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Nice mod on the sleeves of that tweedy green sweater!!
I appreciate your relaxed, long-term approach to knitting (in general but especially for children). Following the trends is exhausting, even when I’m just listening to podcasters who do that! Everything you make is timeless, thoughtful and gorgeous. And you don’t fret over silly things, 🙏🏽
Thank you very much! 💕
It's so enjoyable to see little glimpses of the baby wearing the things you've made for her, so cute. I've been watching Ivana for a while now, her podcast is great. She doesn't do a regular schedule, but the beauty of turning on notifications is that when she does a new video I find out right away!
The drops tweed.dress.looks.gorgeous . I wonder if we could get a better look at the fabric at some point , it was moving around too much :) .
Congrats on the successful delivery of little Nelli pops , its a literal ordeal and now you are officially a grown up 😊.
Oh my gosh, that maternity leave sounds like heaven! When I was working and having my baby, I got zero paid maternity leave, and was only able to stay home unpaid 3 months before they would give my job away. They technically didn't even have to give me that because I had worked there for less than a year. They were calling me to come back after only 8 weeks. I had just finished bleeding. America's maternity leave situation is BARBARIC considering the taxes we pay. I barely got by and burned through any spare cash we had just to stay home for a sliver of time.
Enjoy your sweet time with Nelli! They really do grow so fast. ♥️ She has an awesome mama.
Thats horrible😩 i hope it will change in the future!
Another comment lol.. it’s so interesting to hear your maternity laws! Here the government has no mandated laws (USA). it’s up to each state. In my state some can take up to 12 weeks (including time off before birth) but it doesn’t apply to every job so I think some is left up to the company and many people have to return to work right away or risk losing their job
This! I’ve asked multiple coworkers about how HR had them take their leave. And if I’m remembering correctly, they make us apply for FMLA (government funded emergency leave) for 6 weeks and then they give us 6 weeks. So that’s 12 weeks fully paid. But I also think you lose all vacation and sick time in the process. This is part of the reason I’m 38 and want a baby but haven’t had one yet; with leave and child care costs, I see it as almost impossible, even with both my husband and I having good jobs with good benefits.
You are such a lovely mother and host of this podcast! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the Norwegian maternity leave situation and how you will navigate it all. You also amaze me with your knitting output even with a newborn! Your cabin looks fabulous-nothing better than up north time! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Aww 🥰Inga thank you for a very emotional explanation about giving birth you are the first women I’ve ever heard explain about giving birth but it’s your professionalism coming through! I’m not a Mummy and far too late now! But after your experience you have beautiful Nellie! Hugs & xx 💜🧶💜
Anne Ventzel is one of my favorite designers. Wishing her a speedy recovery and good health ❤️
You’re not alone in preferring non superwash wool for babies and children in general. Jessica McDonald talks about it a lot (she has a whole page dedicated to it on her website / blog). She says (among other things) that it’s actually easier to care for non superwash knits because superwash fibers stain easily.
Lovely and sweet video!
You look so good considering you are a new Mama getting little sleep...I hope you can spend as much time with Nellie as possible. Motherhood is demanding and so very rewarding. Blessings to you.
Thank you Inga - so generous of you to continue to spend time with your fan base! The knits are beautiful as usual and so was the storytelling of your birthing experience as well as the situation in Norway regarding leave for parents. We are so fortunate to have medical assistance available to us. Wishing you and Nellie continued good health!
So lovely! It’s 22 years since I gave birth but you never forget any of it. This reminded me of how wonderful being a mother is and how lucky we are to have the privilege of having a baby. Recently, I updated that feeling by having a dog as its so important to have something to love.
Oh thats so true🙌🏻 i miss my dog, enjoy your pupp💕💕
Thank you so much for another wonderful episode!
Thank you for Sharon your birthing story with us, it was a very interesting insight and I am so glad to hear that you felt safe and supported the whole way through.
I love all your knits and Nellie’s cute baby noises made me smile so much.
Love from Germany❤
You are so welcome!
I totally agree with you on baby/kid knits! Now my four year old requests “sheepy wooly warm shirts” 😂
How wonderful!
Love that!
Oh, you make me laugh. 😂Your face every time Nellie makes sweet baby noises. Thank you for a wonderful podcast as always.
You are so welcome!
Ett stort grattis till er lilla Nellie! ❤
Tusen tack för ett jättemysigt avsnitt!
Great semi-whisper delivery🔥🔥🌟🌟
Thank you for sharing your birth story. Congratulations on your beautiful daughter.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing thank goodness there is a cute baby as a reward after all that enjoy its soo special to be a mom 🤗💞
Can’t tell you how much I enjoy your podcasts, and particularly enjoy hearing about your lives. I’m sorry your delivery was painful during and after. I had to be induced and waited for an epidural forever as the anesthesiologist kept getting called into surgery for other women having c-sections so waited for several hours and totally understand what labour pain is like…. Poor you but you have this gorgeous daughter. She’s a lucky girl to have you as a mother!!! My daughter will turn 20 in March, yet i remember the delivery (also long but no where near what you went through) like yesterday. I had a huge job and worked crazy hours and she is the best thing… being a Mom is, I know a lot of work, but the love is something I’d never understand before. I had to go back to work after 6 months and we haired a woman who was amazing with her. Have you guys discussed a nanny at all? Kids need our time and our love and stimulation and having a great nanny worked for us. We didn’t have any family help unfortunately as my parents had passed away and my husband’s couldn’t help with a toddler. She’s your daughter and will be amazing whatever happens. Trust your instincts and I’m sending love and hugs from Toronto!!!
Nannys arnt very common here anymore sadly but shes in kindergarten and serms to love it😄
@ so glad to hear that!!!
Wow, what a birth story! Glad it all had a happy ending, the happiest of endings actually. The sweater is just gorgeous on you.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for a heartwarming chat and sharing your experience of motherhood in Norway ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m such a fan of your down to earth channel. I’m such a fan of how you present your channel. Congratulations on your new family addition! Wishing you all the best from Vienna!!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing your birth details and for some it is long drawn out event. So congratulations on the Birth of precious little Nellie
Your knits are great and quite amaze me. I love knitting for babies and toddlers. Enjoy the Sourdough Bread ❤😊
Thank you so much!
Your knits for you and Nelli are beautiful. What a special time to be at your cabin and savor all the coziness and memories! 💕
Ok. That puppy is soooo precious!! I want one now😁 I’ve never commented before but Hi! I love your podcast!
You never cease to amaze me with all the gorgeous knits you make! I almost fell over when you told us how you put the folded blanket square under Nelli's head so that you could knit!!! 🤣🤣🤣OMG! When there's a will, there's a way. Thank you for sharing your birthing experience; my son will be 39 in mid-August, and I remember every minute of him coming into the world; for a while, I didn't think I would get him out! LOL!
Good thing he did hehe😝💕
Inga! Absolutely a pleasure and so lovely to see you! Aww 🥰 one proud and blessed Mummy! Love your sweater you are wearing it’s amazing the pattern and colour white and black! Love everything you knit and beautiful garments for Nellie! Xx 😘🧶😘
Thank you for all that you share, birth story and knitting ❤ your love for Nellie just sparkles through the screen ❤⭐️🌟 happy easter 🐣🐥☀️
Happy Easter🌻💕
One more comment (wow I’ve been chatty with you today!!). Lovely episode, thanks for sharing your birth story and baby plans with us. All best wishes for continued good health, happy relationships and beautiful knitting!! ❤
Thank you💕 i appreciate all of your lovely comments🥰
Thank you for sharing - not only your incredibly beautiful knits but also your life with us. I found yours & Nelli's birth story so moving and it brought back memories for me - my youngest is now 30 - and reminds me that having the wisdom to ask for help when we need it, is just one more superpower mothers can tap into: our village. And hearing about how maternity/paternity leave works in Norway is so interesting. I'm sure it will all work out but I wish (in Canada, too) that we could make it easier for parents and less stressful. The cabin looks so peaceful and gorgeous. I love Nelli's baby sounds - so sweet! Have a wonderful weekend with your beautiful family!
Thank you💕💕💕
Thank you for sharing your knitting, your story and your precious little one. This was a very special podcast! Nellie is SO BLESSED to have you as her mama! ♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️. It seems you have made that beautiful transition to motherhood with ease. ♥️💫♥️
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing your Motherhood journey, enjoy your little sweetie, those are precious times and you will always remember how you and Matias worked to make it the way you both wanted; the best for all, stay healthy both you and Nellie, and congrats on a beautiful healthy daughter!
Thank you so much😘
Thank you for this lovely episode.
I love the baby knits, they are so precious.
The sweater you are wearing is so beautiful, it looks great on you.
You look wonderful, motherhood suits you.
Take care
Thank you so much!
You and Nelli bring a smile to my face. Enjoy your child and your family. They come first. You're doing a beautiful job thinking that through. I've been following you since your first episode (I'm a grandma) and it's been a pleasure. Now I get to see baby knits too. Happy Knitting.
Thank you so much!
Not me knitting an Amy Slipover while you're showing your latest Amy Slipover :D
Thanks for another great episode!
I loved hearing your birth story-I feel like they don’t get shared enough. I have two babies and both their stories are different but both precious to me. I agree with your philosophy on baby knits, I pretty much only knit them non super wash-unless it’s a gift for a non knitters baby! Glad your are both healthy ❤
I’m happy to see you again. I hope things are going well with the 3 of you.❤
They are! Thank you💕
Wow, Inga, you went through quite a time with the birth!, I m so glad you have had some time to recover and to be with Nelli!! Beautiful knits and beautiful baby💕
Inga, you’re such a sweet mom ! I can just tell! Your dad is so cute walking with the pram and your beautiful blanket! and daughter of course! My husband bakes sourdough bread from starter he’s had for about three years now! Thanks for the birthing update. I always wanted children but was born without a uterus. It took many many years to accept this situation but have now understood my life without kids. I wish you many, many happy years with your sweet daughter ! Thank you for sharing ! Hugs from the north east coast of San Juan island! ClaudiaSJI
Thank you so much Claudia💕 your husband sounds like a keeper if he bakes you delicious sourdough bread! Im still trying to learn🤭
Thank you for sharing your childbirth experience. My daughter had her first, my first grand, around the same time as Nelli. He was a big baby too 9 lb 5 oz. We like you all are over the moon and enjoying every minute ❤, much love to you and congratulations to your whole family.
Thank you and congratulations 😘
Love love all Nellie’s new bought clothes incredible quality and color. Glad you mentioned children newborn patterns.
Hello Inga! I am so glad that you are feeling well! Thanks for letting us know how the delivery went.❤ I wish you all the strength and happiness to enjoy motherhood! I am a fan when it comes to the colors you pick for your knits! And also the pattern! Enjoy the family time at the cabin!🥰🥰🥰😘😘🥰🥰
Thank you so much!
Thank you for a video. I can’t imagine how you found a time to record it! I delivered a baby also in January and now the only knitting, that I do is a baby socks. Unfortunately now I have too little time for knitting.
Thank you for sharing your delivery story and plans for the near future. I expected, that parents in Norway have more support, because Norway is well developed country.
Inga, you are doing great! Having support around you is beautiful. Enjoy your baby as long as you can. I too had a balancing act after my second son. I did my best to make his life with Mama and Daddy. Boy oh boy, family members, and friends jumped in as needed. My boys are now 47yrs and 45yrs. Time flies. Thank you for sharing your birth story, and spending a little time with Nelly 🥰
It‘s so interesting to learn about maternity leave/payment (or not)/Kindergarden places from different countries! I‘m German and got my kids in Germany (now living in the UK and learning from others here), every country is so different! I feel so blessed we could afford me staying home with both children the whole three years (only one year is payed though!!) and beyond that. As you say the time with them is so precious, for both sides, and will never come back. The grow so quickly (my second son is starting primary school in summer, how did he get 6 years old already???). Enjoy every minute! All the best to you three 🩷🩷🩷
Love this, Inga! Motherhood looks great on you. Your knits are fantastic as always. Glad you’re recovering from the birth. You’re blessed to have the time with Nelli. Enjoy your family weekend! 🧶💕
Thank you so much!
Beautiful knits! Thank you for sharing your birth story. It brought back many memories of a very long labor and a delivery of a 9.5 pound (4.3 kg) big-headed ;-) but healthy baby girl 30 years ago (two weeks late). I am happy that you live in a beautiful country that truly values parenthood and childhood.
Love your podcasts Inga. Thanks for sharing your birthing story. I love listening to such details of how it goes for women. And we know that not all births are alike. So t thanks for that and CONGRATULATIONS to both you and Mattias. Nelli is in good hands.
I think it is a good idea to do as you do and talk about the kind of 'civilized' parental government programs you in Norway have created for your citizens.
After all, it is a good way to encourage and prioritize families which are ultimately the fabric and foundation of any healthy and enlightened society. And the more one speaks of such things the more these ideas spread and get accepted elsewhere in the world. Thank you again Inga.
Oh, and BTW. I too share in your love for such fantasy fiction like GOT, LOR, Harry Potter and so forth. (and did you say Dune too? One of my favs).
Happy Easter!!
Thank you for sharing your birth story with us. It's a sisterhood for sure. I had 3 large boys all over 8 lbs, all induced because I was overdue but once the drip started I had babies within the hour and no time for pain meds. All were excruciating but some of my most treasured memories because of what I got in the end. It's amazing. I'm just sitting here remembering all those feelings from over 30 years ago like they were yesterday.
Lovely to see you and hear you are all healthy and happy!
Congratulations 🎉!!!! Nellie is adorable and your knitting is so insanely good and productive. Congratulations again to you and your family. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Thank you so much!
Lovley to hear your news , my 4th baby was 9lb 3ozs the heaviest for 40year old. Im going between knitting clothes for teddies and learning Watercolour painting, your earthy colours are beautiful, im being drawn to them more now. Its difficult working out whats the best with all the emotions , but it always works out.
Thank you for sharing ❤
My first baby was 4120g at birth. Had I not gone into labour that Saturday they would have induced me on the Monday. I still to this day, 11 years later, feel so blessed that the labour started by itself.
Oh my goodness, you delivered such a big baby! Arnt mothers incredible. My two seem tiny by comparison, 5 pounds and 7 pound 2 ounces. Not without drama (emergency c-section for the first and a dislodged tailbone for me during the second). Theyre 21 and 19 years old now but will slways be my beautiful babies. Enjoy this special time together ❤
Beautiful knits! And thank you for sharing your birth story! :)
You are so welcome!
Inga, you are amazing. A new baby and so many wips and f os! Thanks for the birth story, so glad Matheus has been a support for you. You still look so beautiful ❤ Please don't feel like a failure when you needed the vacuum. We all have an ideal of what our births will look like. The reality is usually very different😶
Thank you so much! Thats so true, cant plan for everything😝
AND that hand spun gift from Ivana, wow!! I’m subscribed to her channel too now.
Shes amazing, so blessed to have her as a friend!
Congratulations again and enjoy the time cause it flies by so fast. ❤
Ooh when I was in Norway recently (12-day Havila fjord cruise)I bought yarn for the Amy slipover, can’t wait to make it. I took the pattern with me and it’s the first time I bought so intentionally. It was fun to have a goal for jumping off the ship to tour the little towns looking for yarns! You inspired me, it’s an unusual and useful garment.
I can see you running of the boat to get yarn in time to get back on😂🙌🏻 happy knitting😘
@@knittingtraditionsit was my exercise! 😂😂😂
Oh gosh Nelli’s birth sounded a bit painful. Happy you both came through with flying colors! Nelli is a very well dressed baby!
I was walking on my treadmill in February as part of a fundraiser for The American Cancer Society and found the treadmill to be quite boring so I found UA-cam running videos (the pace is better, walkers tend to stop a lot so I prefer to walk with the runners) anyway, I found a great Norwegian running video and it is in Bergen! I think it says something about the old part? Beautiful place!
Your knitting is as lovely as ever! Take care. 🌷🪻🌸🌻🌹
Inga, you look radiant, the sound of Nellie was so sweet, i am wishing you and your family a wonderful Easter. Hugs❤❤❤❤❤❤
How lovely to have at least a year at home with her. Congratulations - yes, the birth sounds very difficult but thank goodness for being in an excellent facility with such supportive help. Oh that yellow cardigan is lovely! Lots of beautiful knits. She will be very warm and obviously well loved by both parents - her daddy sounds like he too is doing a great job and there's nothing better than loving parents.
Hi Inga. I really enjoy your podcasts. I love hearing about your motherhood, your opinions on different yarn qualities etc. Your esthetics is much different from mine, but I just find that interesting. We don't all have to be alike. Also I think it is so clever of you to make Nelli knits she can grow in. And the use of NSW wool. I think you can inspire many new moms. So just keep on doing what you feel is the right thing to do. Take care ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
What an episode! It's lovely seeing you so happy with your little one and a loving husband. I'm always amazed at how you manage to be so productive and creative especially at this period of time with the baby! I wish you all the best to you and your beautiful family! By the way, here in Greece maternity leave is only 2 months before labor and 2,5 months after it, which is too short.
Thank you so much! I agree thats to short!
Thank you for sharing your birth story! It's always interesting to hear other women's experiences. My heart broke a little bit for you when you talked about not getting to be home with your baby as long as you want to. I get that it's hard for many people these days. My husband and I don't have kids, but I stay home anyway and find creative ways to stretch our budget, because if we are blessed with children someday (soon, I hope!) I do want to be home with them, just as m and mom was. If I was working now, our standard of living and expenses would probably go up in a way that would be hard to cut back down on, if I were then to quit and lose that extra income, in addition to having to deal with the added cost of raising a child. This way I hope the financial transition won't be as hard. But I get that once mortgages and loans are involved it gets complicated. It may be worth it for the things you are paying for - nicer home, good car(s) - but it limits flexibility, and at times like this I wish there were more good long-term, family friendly financial advice out there. I'm glad there is some paternity leave in Norway. Dads should have time off to care for the recovering mother and baby (and any older siblings who need attention), but that should not take away from the time a mother gets to spend breastfeeding her child. As often as I remember to, I will be praying that there will be a solution for you to stay home longer, and also that the kindergarten issue would be solved.
Thank you so much💕💕 i hope you to are blessed with a little one soon😘
Thank you for the lovely podcast. And it was very generous of you to share your birth story. It brought back many memories of my first son’s birth. (29 1/2 years ago!) sending much love to you & your precious family ❤
Thank you😘
Awww Inga you just glow. Thank you for sharing Nellie’s arrival story. Sorry you had the tough ending. My first was around 36 hrs and he weighed about the same as Nellie. BUT my second was a breeze! 4 hrs pushed twice and she was born. My son paved the way 😂. I love seeing grandpa taking her for a walk. And I know your mom is smitten too. What I am wondering is how her uncles have fallen in love with her 😉 I bet head over heels 💕💕💕💕
Yes they are very excited and also very helpful😁
So lovely to see you Inga. Your lovely podcast always makes my day. I love that you are still getting so much knitting done. I also love that you are knitting with real wool in proper colours for Nelli. I can’t believe there is such a 😢thing as knitted baby bibs! I wish I had known about them when my son was a baby!!❤❤
Thank you so much!
Hi Inga, beautiful projects ❤ as always 🤗 Thank you for sharing the beautiful story of Nellie’s birth!
Thank you! 😊
Lovely podcast as always.
It was so sweet to see your dad walking Nelli. I am enjoying watching my husband be a first time grandfather as well. Our little one is beginning to talk and when she calls his name (DzaDza for Dziadzu), I can see his heart melt. These darling babes bring such joy to all of us! Thanks for sharing some of your moments with us.💕
Dzadza how seeet😍
Your Badger and Bloom is gorgeous! I have added it to my list of pullovers to make. : ) And congrats on outsmarting the game of yarn chicken on the Lukas Genser! I really enjoyed the update on your labor and delivery, as well as the challenges with jobs and childcare. Mostly, I really love getting to sit and knit with you. Thank you for this heartwarming episode!
Thank you for spending the time with me! 😊
So nice to see you again and thank you, listening your precious baby sounds was so beautiful and perfect for my soul ❤
Sooooooo beautiful !
Thank you for sharing ❤
My pleasure 😊
It's such a lovely podcast. I especially enjoyed hearing Nelli's little baby noises in the background. Lots of beautiful knits, as usual. The handspun from Ivanna (Republic of Me) is gorgeous. I look forward to seeing what you make with it.
Thank you so much!
Oh Inga thank you for sharing your birthing story. I was crying as it was my birth story for my first born only 29 years ago! I feel your pain girl, but what a sweet baby you have. Congratulations again, I don’t know how you are managing motherhood and UA-cam videos and looking amazing, you’re an amazing woman ❤
Oh wow! Thank you💕
Beautiful, I absolutely love your podcasts and Nellie is so lucky to have such an amazing mom and dad. ❤
Thank you so much!
Congratulations Inga
I’ve been following you for about 2 years even I don’t understand everything in English (I’m French) but I love yours knitting creations !!😊
I wish you happiness ❤Faby
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for sharing your birthing story. It just reminded me my own one, when I was delivering my son. The same situation. But on the other side, when my girl was born, 5 years later, it was so easy going and fast. I agree with you, that one year old is too young for kindergarten. I'm glad, I can stay at home with them until three. Congratulations and happy knitting.❤
Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much for sharing the birth with us. I feel like I am such a part of this even if you don’t know me at all. I wish I could cuddle Nelli too. Enjoy every minute with her. It goes by so fast. Lots of good wishes for both of you.
Thank you so much💕
Congratulations!
We have the same thoughts for children’s clothing! No super wash yarn here and my grandchildren loves the knits 🧶!
Love that!
I love seeing all you make for Nelli! Sharing those wonderful traditions should always be celebrated. I also liked the sharing of your birth experience and that you got to have an honest experience. Having worked in health care for so long I can see both sides as well and can say as we work more on the system side and interact less as just a patient, we lose perspective. It becomes too easy to just label or dictate how a patient should/could interact and what they should feel/do. Your experience will stay with you for quite some time and will inform and develop your training and career.
I think so to🥰
Thank you for sharing your story about giving Birth. I love to listen about it because after that I always feel that no matter where we are from on this globe - we feel the same about our Newborn children and we have the same struggles with our "fresh mother" body and mind. When my son was born I immidietly felt, that I will not leave him as long as I can - because he needs me. And in the same system like we have in Poland where you have no choice but to go to work (to have money for food and other nessesities like health care) it is quite normal just "not to be sick" during time without insurance from government. Lots of love and hugs for you and Nelly
Thank you😘
❤ wow how interesting! You’re going to figure it all out.❤ It’s so wild how our countries have these different policies, I wish we could decide what is good for ourselves and have that. We are all so unique in our own situations. I wish you all the best and some restful time with lots of family love and knitting.😊
My first baby, girl, the labor was 27 hrs too and with nothing but injection for episiotomy. All back pain. 7 pounds 4 ounces. Second baby was 19 hrs labor. 9 pounds 1 ounce. So glad you get to stay home that long. There’s always the problem with working and those bills. ❤
What a sweet baby girl you have. Enjoy your time off with her and know it will work out when you have to return to work. Happy Easter to you and your family.
Thank you so much!
ahhh, you are such a glowing mom. thanks for sharing your birth story. as a mom who also delivers babies, i get it!🙂 No birth is a delivery failure, you produced a child! that is enough! your birth story is lovely. in the us we only get 3 mo off (unpaid). i had to go back to work full time then as a physician, but i was able to pump at work and feed before and after for a year. when you get to 7-8 mo they will be eating more calories in food and you will be breastfeeding less, so it will be much easier than now! Towards then end of the year i could feed mostly before and after work- but every mom and baby is different!
Thank you for sharing your experience experience. All the best for you and Nelly ❤
Thanks for sharing! Only with my third baby did I get the birth I had envisioned (more or less) but I still didn't get that slow early stage where apparently some mom's get to knit or do whatever they like to do between contractions. Some bodies consistently skip that phase 🤣
I hope you will be able to enjoy every minute of those precious first months with Nelli
What a nice and especial episode! You keep a lot of us really inspired by sharing your passion and enthusiasm for knitting with all of us also knitters! I will start my own Amy slipover using a beautiful brown DK, so fingers crossed 🤞
Warm regards from a Mexican living in California 😊
Thank you so much!
I'm very happy for you, Nelly and your family. ❤ seeing how loving you are, even by creating beautiful things for your daughter inspires me to knit more
Also, I like the designs you leans towards because of their classic and tasteful style. Knitting takes a long time for me and these kind of knits can outlive trends. The baby knits are also practical which is what I'm looking for. Do you happen to have the pattern for the appron dress from a few podcasts ago? Thank you for sharing!
Congratulations!🎉❤
Thank you so much! Its only available in her book i belive… maybe reach out to her : knitsbyjacobsen and see if she will release an english pdf
