    In the US my Bosch Flexi-Click kit came in a canvas bag. It was $141 on Amazon. Separately I bought the companion impact. I discarded the bag and bought a MakPac systainer and cut some kaizen foam to shape. It holds both drivers, the Flexi-Click accessories, battery charger, and a small bit assortment holder.

    Doesn't appear you've used the Bosch in the 2nd gear. Great video. I have the Bosch and love it.

    I found I needed to use a bit in the Festool Centrotec. So looking at the bit, took it to the grinder and created bevels that allowed it to go into the bit holder. As the indent was in a good position it clicked into place.
    Battery age and charge obviously also have an effect on the tools grunt.
    Great video and as you say the feel and size of one's mit ( digit control device).

    Did you try the Festool on the low setting? I have both the Bosch and Festool. Hands down the CXS is the drill I go to. The Bosch is a great drill, light and great for a 10volt but ergonomically the Festool is the best drill. Try standing the Bosch up after, for example, drilling inside a cabinet, the Festool is balanced and stays where you put it, whereas the Bosch will fall over. Simple example but indicative of the differences between the drills.

      Good point on the CXS, forgot to mention that.👍

      The Bosch will stand up if you use a 6ah battery, but standing a drill on an expensive product is just begging for an accident.

    I bought the Bosch a while ago and the only problem I have is that I often manage to disconnect the adaptors by mistake when changing the torque setting. Maybe just my technique, but it's very annoying! Apart from that, I'd recommend the Bosch. No experience of the other two though.

    My heavy duty drill and separate driver is Rigid. However I bought the Bosch kit because of the attachments and it’s smaller size and lighter weight. I love the Bosch and use it the most. It came with a soft case and I think I would prefer the hard sustainer because my cordless stuff sits on a shelf the soft case doesn’t sit well. Also with my rigid tools I leave a battery in the charger always to have a full battery. The Bosch has ruined two spare batteries. Customer service has replaced them but told me not to leave the battery plugged in all the time. Also I find I have to be careful when tightening drill bits as I tend to unlock the chuck. Minor thing really. I do wish the had designed the battery to allow the tool to stand up but again minor.

    My first dust extractor was the Bosch VAC090AH. Sanding drywall, I really liked its auto filter clean process better than Festool’s. My first track saw was the Bosch version so I had their L-Boxx case that clicked in nicely to the dust extractor. Now, I’ve moved on to the Festool track saw and other tools from them and can’t find an elegant way to connect Systainers to the Bosch dust extractor. Honestly, I prefer the thickness of the L-Boxx sidewalls and lid to the Systainers. I’ve cracked a few Systainers in transport. If you don’t like the boxes, throw them up on eBay and you’ll be surprised how well they sell.
    I’m not interested in the Bosch drill/driver but I appreciate your review. I think the Milwaukee Installation Drill/Driver is the best competitor. I chose it over the Festool CXS because I already have plenty of M12 batteries for other tools and Festool can’t seem to find much use for those weird batteries. The C18 HPC is an option since I have eight of the 18v batteries but it’s a much higher price point than the Milwaukee.

    Putting 150mm screws in i would be using my de walt impact driver every time

      Hi Norman, as mentioned I think the 150mm would be pushing the devices to the limit, I would have reached for the larger drivers I have normally but decided to try these to see how well they coped.

    How does the trigger feel/control on the new Bosch compare to the CXS? After my six year old Bosch 10.8/12V drill driver failed I ended up with the Festool TXS and found the trigger control to be better than my old Bosch. IME its noticeable enough that there are screws I would not have driven with the Bosch that I now drive with the TXS. How do you feel about the Bosch and Milwaukee T handle design compared to the Festool’s C style handle?

      @GTWoodshop  Рік тому

      Hi Greg the trigger felt fine as I recall, not a lot between it and the Milwaukee. I actually prefer the style of the Bosch and Milwaukee over the Festool, I love most of the Festool kit but not a fan of the CXS.

    Does the Bosch unit stand upright on the battery with a head attached? My old Ridgid units would not and I found that annoying. I really liked the weight and useful power on the small Ridgid units though.

      Hi Dan, good question. The Bosch is all packed up in the van ready for a week on site so I'll try and remember to check it for you. 👍

    Sorry but looking at these demonstrations Festool won hands down. Buy cheap buy twice.
