Everyone Knows Rishi Sunak Is Finished

- At Silverstone motor racing track today the Prime Minister #rishisunak launched the Conservative Party manifesto. It featured #taxcuts and spending which is to be funded by government efficiency, cracking down on #taxevasion and a squeeze on benefit claimants together with growing the economy. #immigration is to be substantially reduced depriving the #ukeconomy of essential workers
The Spanish government have built a high speed railway from Barcelona to Madrid at a cost of less than one tenth of the cost per mile of #hs2
The CEO of South West Water has received a rise of £300,000 per annum taking her annual income to £860,000. The company lost £9 million last year and yet went ahead with dividends of £127 milion
A driver brining plants into the UK from Italy was kept waiting for 55 hours at the government border check facility at Sevington in Kent
If 'Us' deliberately pollute the rivers, the penalty is prison.
If 'Them' deliberately pollute the rivers, the reward is a £300.000 pay rise.
The 15x cost of building a mile of rail can only be explained by deliberate siphoning off of money. I'd call it a crime.
I understand that the Sochi Winter Olympics cost $US 50 billion, but only about $US 12 billion went into construction and running the event. So, Britain and the Tories are up to Olympic class status regarding corruption! Gold Medal!
Thank you Michael, sadly we are reborn the poor man of Europe again, thanks Brexiteers.
Being "poor" would be the least of our problems. We are, as before joining the EU, the "Sick Man of Europe".
Selling to the UK is not profitable too much red tape. Remember Mogg decrying EU red tape. Very quiet about UK red tape !
It is corruption, pure and simple, Michael.
The Spanish must be giving 10 times less money to their friends and relations
Spot on. Why with all those millions the Tories gave away which Labour will NOT give away there should be more money in the kitty raised by current taxation levels than we might have thought for Labour to use in repairig the damage. .
When your MP is working on another job in the Caribbean - during the “lockdown “ period, you can tell who the govt is serving
*I CAN ANSWER* why it costs 10x as much for HS2 - at least in part
1) Tunnels to not upset NIMBY Tory voters - masses of it are underground not to spoil the views of the wealthy
2) The massively overpriced property market in the UK = Massively over priced compulsory purchase costs for land and housing
3) We DONT have a big railway building company who can do the job, and we cant employ the French for political reasons. so we have thousands of tiny companies trying to work together to build a railway that would be ONE company in France or Spain or Germany. The LEGAL bills for the contracts make up 20% of the total cost
If you want to build nationally important infrastructure you have to upset a LOT of NIMBY's, pay them minimum price for their property and get a Frecnh company to build it.
ALL of which is politically impossible in the UK. The UK needs an independent infrastructure council that does projects across multiple parliaments.
But, how can this explain a mile of rail journey costing 15x more than in Spain, and half as efficient (fast)?
Thanks Michael. A good talk.
Another great clip Michael …. Let’s hope in 3 weeks this vile govt are thrown out for many many years
3 weeks and we should be free of this tory nightmare 😆 cannot wait. Im ordering a Chinese takeway and a couple of beers and celebrate the unfolding 😁🤞 always respect your views and opinions micheal.
Thanks Matthew 😊
High speed gravey train
The Spanish high speed now connects all over Spain. The trains travel at 280kmh, not 125mph (201 kmh).
Many thanks, Michael. I live in Alicante, and travel by electric tram to town (El Campello) every day. It is four stops, and costs me 40 Cents return fare.
Tories are toast. Thank goodness. Hang in there, Mr Lambert. Your elections are so much shorter than ours. Consider yourself lucky, sir. Cheers! 🎉😊
When Sunak and the Tories talk about "making the civil service more efficient" what they really mean is, more austerity. It's that simple. With fewer public servants to manage public services (or what’s still left of them) it's really not hard to work out that they're lying their arses off as usual.
Hs2 was subject to Tory landowners being vastly overpaid by Tory ministers .
So true. I work in Telecoms and I can say categorically that loads of money is wasted on inefficiency and middlemen and tenders to companies that have no experience.
Very interesting video. It's my question constantly.....where is the money going. As a W.A.S.P.I. women having paid tax & N.I. for 48years 10months, then not allowed to draw the State Pension until I was 67. The corruption that has been going on is incredible. They are also going to provide 8,000 new dentists, as if by magic, what a pity they haven't done this before the NHS dental crisis. The individuals in the Tory government are incompetent & inept, many were promoted into positions that was beyond their knowledge. How on earth did Johnson reach the high office of Prime Minister?
Trouble is they look after their own interests firstly, and running the country is poor second, or a complete facade.
A railway project costing some tenfold more here than in 🇪🇸 Spain is due to our higher density - extremely dense politicians treating us as if we are all dense 🤔
Blimey - I'd forgotten the Garden Bridge. 56 million down the pan and not a brick layed. Your first topic prompted the memory.
And hardly a mention of it in the MSM.
Audit tory bank accounts, including all their off shore accounts, there, you'll find the money.
Tories for prison 2024
Michael you are brilliant.Thank you.Sono molto riconoscente per tutto il lavoro che fa.Lorenzo😊
Grazie Lorenzo, sei molto gentile 😊
Three more weeks and it’s new beginning. It will take some time and hard work to rectify and recover.
Did they hold the manifesto launch at Silverstone because it's the only place they could think of where a car crash might go unnoticed ?
It’s also easy to land a helicopter
.. I would wager that suppliers consider adding another"0" to their estimate - and the minister just says "hey ho" and signs the order form.
I'm surprised young Rishi couldn't pick up Sky TV without a satellite dish with them ears.
High speed rail already exists between Barcelona and Madrid, the AVE train covers 503 km (313mls) in 2h29min.
If you knew Spain you'd know that it's practically deserted between Madrid and Barcelona and much easier to build a railway.
And what a wonderful service it is! Fast, punctual, affordable and with several companies vying for your custom. In Spain, they really know a thing or two about high-speed rail, they do
@@coldporridge4145 if you keep looking for excuses why things in your country are the way they are, you will never make any progress.
@@coldporridge4145 yup and they have got one. HS2 had been planned and too much money had been pissed in the Tory wind - so it got stopped.
Thanks Michael.
Hello Michael. I am sorry to have commented on your video at such a late stage, but I have only just heard of the hardships Mr Sunak suffered as a child. We are surely all appalled by the mental anguish he had to endure by not having access to Sky TV. Thank goodness he did not experience the shame of NOT having to wear Nike branded trainers to school, the fees for which the forgone Sky subscription paid. If only fewer feckless parents squandered their Universal Credit money on wide-screen TVs and the like, more bairns running barefoot in the streets of Southampton would eventually be Old Wykehamists. Truly Mr Sunak is a man of the people.
😁
The flowers of that poor Italian lorry driver were withered before they reached the flower shop.
So much avarice in the World Michael. How paying someone vast amounts of money for polluting our waterways beggars belief, it's impossible to justify!! I totally agree with you, Sunak will be out but I don't think Labour will be any better they seem to be two sides of the same penny! Thank you Michael, very eloquent as always 👍✅
Thank you Sue 😊
Hello Michael
You talked common sense and truth again.
Robbers in the UK
Idiots for mps
Incompetence, idiocy, stupidity, greed dominate in the country....
It s very depressing...
Thank you Michael for pointing out what is going on in the country

Thank you Isabelle 😊
Don't take anything for granted! This is the same country that voted for Brexit...
Rumour has it there's going to be a popcorn and champagne shortage come July 4th. There will be in my house.
No there won't be any popcorn for you, I have just purchased all rights to manufacture it, I have cornered the entire global market. Sorry.
Lining their mates pockets…..
Can't be ANY economic growth outside EU! Period! 😢
Some people are seriously lining their pockets in the UK. Take for example heat/air pumps that can be used for heating and cooling. Their cost is around € 3000 including installation, not even one year’s heating bill in the UK. Most EU governments offer financial support to all wanting to switch from fossil fuels to solar, heat pumbs, wind, water, earth heat systems. How come that in the UK a heat/air pumb costs £ 8K-10K? And the government support initiative under M. Gove was stopped?
Home truths Michael the tories are making it up as they go along - desperation
Sunak will head off to the US and put the UK behind him. "I was PM of the UK for a time, unfortunately, it didn't work out". Something to talk about at his beach house cocktail parties.
He'll tell his guests how he had to take over a "broken system". All Tories, perhaps all politicians will perpetuate the "broken system" excuse.
But it's only poor people, especially benefit claimants and people who claim carers allowance who commit fraud of any kind. Apparently.
The tories are finished
The 'waste' is staggering from the government of so-called 'fiscal responsibility' 😂
Just imagine had that waste been spent on the countrys needs. The NHS, Police, Crumbling schools, pay awards, etc ... Just imagine. The country would look a lot different.
But he must stick to 'the plan'...
Worst government in my memory, and I'm 65.
Thanks for the content Michael which as always is spot on 👍
The AVE from Madrid to Barcelona cost 8 billion quid but it was finished some 16 years back now ... but still not a bad price. It's cheaper to build in Spain because they (or we these days for me) can just build in a straight line without any nimbys and without multiple towns in the way but it does make HS2 look like a joke. A newer AVE to Valencia opened a few years ago and it's taking me Madrid to Valencia return for 15 quid in July at a top speed of 190mph. Last week they announced that Madrid Lisbon high speed is coming too within 10 years so the network is an ongoing and massive success. In contrast when i come home to the UK my train from Blackpool North to Manchester Airport is a stinking filthy dirtbox on that travels 60 miles in 90 goddam minutes and costs 18 quid!
Thank-you for sharing that information!!! Absolutely fantastic on the Continent. What bloody fool would ever vote for Brexit as a winning option. Only a liar and a bloody loser.
NOBODY is winning in Britain. The costs are negatively unfathomable!!!
Brilliant analysis Michael and wonderful wit to help douse the sorrow of it all😢
The AVE trains are fantastic and cheap. And what do they do in UK? Talk, waste money and get nowhere
@@robsucher9419 It's true that AVE trains were a bit expensive until recently but now there's a host of cheap ticket options and the network is huge.
@@gavinturner5565 Yes all the rail systems here were all truly wonderful before we left Europe. Most people voted Brexit because there were no apparent benefits of being in Europe with the rotten rail systems and passport checks as opposed to the freedoms for people on the continent. Returning from the wonderful rail systems on the continent to the double passport check at Brussels then on to the awful dirty cramped East Anglian lines with a wheel flat hammering on every coach set never made me feel European. The truth be told we were never really in Europe and could have done it all with just trade deals. Britain was a dismal dump failing in most areas well before Brexit and people probably voted in despair hoping for some change. The people who wanted to stay, probably benefiting from the union, now cannot come to terms with the choice so blame all our ills on the decision, calling the people who did fools considering themselves as parties to higher thought processes. It is highly unlikely the established ruling clique in the UK made any attempt to make Brexit work if only to prove themselves right and the others look like fools.
@@michaeld5888They were told that the EU was the problem which was a big lie . We have left the EU and all the benefits that were promised have vanished . The voters were duped. Not all our problems were caused by Brexit but it hasn’t helped as it improves nothing and has damaged a lot .
He doesn't care . Hes off to California .. with bags of tax money
It's absolutely criminal, there's really is no other way of putting it.
Because, as you know, we are being robbed blind to pay the rich.
Kier Starmer had better man up. He needs at the least to get us back in the customs union/single market. He needs to nationalise water, gas, electricity and rail. If he gets the majority predicted, and does not squander it on tory-lite tinkering, he could go down in history as a great reforming prime minister.. . It remains to be seen what will happen...
Nationalisation doesn't achieve anything - look at the NHS. If socialists understood economics they wouldn't be socialists.
@@coldporridge4145I am certain most capitalists who have been unfortunate enough to suffer a serious injury or illness are quite happy to use the NHS to receive treatment costing £1000s, and much more than their total lifetime NI payments., never having had to pay in a penny in Medical Insurance in the UK!
A country can only be part of the SM/CU by being a member of the EU .
Normally, during an election campaign, you would expect a party that had been in government for fourteen years to talk about all their wonderful achievements in an effort to persuade people to vote for them again; unfortunately for the Tories, they have no achievements to speak of; so much so, that Sunak would like us just to wipe the slate clean and forget about the last fourteen years altogether; oh, if only we could, Rishi, if only we could...
Yes , I was unfortunate enough to see one of there election broadcasts a couple of days ago and it simply listed all their lies about labour, pathetic, no mention of reform who are taking all their votes but are also far right and have to be ignored
@@davidjupp961
The whole of the EU will eventually turn to the right, we are seeing it happen as we speak. More than 30 years of far-left policies is the reason for this turnaround.
@@trytellingthetruth.2068 Your evidence of "far left policies" is?
Sorry Michael, but the driver was _not_ allowed to stay in his lorry - they took his keys off him and told him to wait in the waiting room (or walk 2km for food and a hot drink).
Also, when they finally released his lorry in the middle of the night, they refused to allow him to stay until morning, meaning he had to try to find somewhere to park (which ended up with him getting a large parking fine).
Thanks for the clarification Dave - makes it even worse 😊
Such wanton corruption happens in this country largely due to a dangerous mix of ignorance, indifference and falling for the faux eccentric who makes people laugh and is the sort you can have a couple of pints with.
GO for you have lingered too long in this place for any good that you might have done. In the name of God, get thee gone.

Oh thank you! You have gone through it so that I don't have too. But before I watch it, I just want to comment on the HS2 bit. I live in an area that is scarred for life by HS2. It seems to have carved up loads of Warwickshire, Oxfordshire. I pass workings regularly. They are enormous! Huge. Some of the biggest works I've ever seen. Far bigger than building a motorway. I have never understood why it's all so vast. Swathes of countryside and masses of housing all demolished for a flipping train from London to Birmingham! The devastation will not recover in my lifetime. There are massive areas of what looks like industrial workings. Massive gantries, silos, storage, and port-a-cabin structures. Wide expanses of tarmaced car parking areas. But the most notable thing about it all is the almost ghostly human occupation of these sites. There's so little being done at any one time it's hard to track any progress at all. There is always a mindless zombie driving a road sweeper back and forth every few minutes all day long where any works vehicles have to cross the public highway. Imagine that for a fulfilling day at work! There's usually a few men standing around in fluorescent orange over-clothing doing nothing or looking at their phones. There might be, in the distance, a dumper truck traversing the wastelands they have created.
The whole thing looks like alien monsters came through, carved up the countryside and left again. It's the ugliest process and the local disruption is annoying and endless. The workers must think they have jobs for life on this project. Albeit the most tedious and mind numbing jobs they could find. We excel in mediocre engineering projects now in the UK. Just look at Cross Rail! This is where the money goes. On endless ineptitude.
And the mad thing about all this is there's still 18/21% of the people going to vote torie, unbelievable you could not make this up,thanks for the video micheal, keep calling them out because there mates In the media don't or won't,,,

Rishi. The Norman Wisdom of Brit politics. "Don't lagh at me, for I am just a fool".
Fools don't make £120 million a month and overtake the King of England on the UK Rich List. The only fools are those that voted Tory and for Brexit.
I bet the Tories have been awarding HS2 contract to their mates, even though they have no experience. Just like the PPE scandal.
Michael, HS2 is a pork barrel, just as Covid PPE provision was a pork barrel!
Sunak decided missing D Day Anniversary wasn't enough so he got his gold plated shovel out and dug even deeper suggesting not having sky meant his parents sacrifed watching Sky TV and denying the kids as if not having sky is the peak of sacrifice, well I will tell you what sacrifice is! Coming from a family where my grandfather was a prisoner of war, and my mothers brother got blown to bits on HMS Hood.

California is awaiting!!
@@user-uv8bv4dm9f That ticket was purchased a long time ago. Now he is just tanking Tories, so he can fly off with a big smile on his face.
The Tories were finished anyway. We essentially have a two-party state - Labour and Conservative. The Tories effectively alienated half their voter base (as well as half their own party) with Brexit. And you can't hope to win on that basis! The only chance they had was if Brexit had been an immediate and huge success. And, well, let's leave it at that!
3wks and they're gone hopefully for good 🎉😅
Micheal, I’ve had enough can’t take anymore of politicians lies.
The economy hasn't grown since 2010 thanks to austerity. Labour won't be able to grow it either without some form of wealth tax

The Spanish rail building has to overcome difficult terrain but seems able to cope with relative ease and one is currently under construction going southwards .

The future ex PM of poop. So wonderful.
What Paul Johnson, director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies actually said was that he had “degree of scepticism” over the “uncertain, unspecific and apparently victimless savings” that will pay for the tax cuts. And added: “The promise to abolish the main rate of self-employed NI contributions altogether would doubtless be welcomed by the self-employed but would further entrench the tax advantages of self-employment over employment.”….He said nothing about it ‘didn’t add up’.
"The trouble is the policies that have been spelt out are not up to the challenge of saving £12 billion a year. Some have already been announced and included in the official fiscal forecasts; others are unlikely to deliver sizeable savings on the timescale that the Conservatives claim." Paul Johnson - IFS

Sunak hasn't got any project management skills. His cabinet are the same. Their given responsibility to run enormous capital projects but haven't got the slightest clue.

😅I can understand Sunak when I think that he is a COMIC. Nothing else makes sense. He puts our professional comics and satirists in the shade. He had a deprived childhood as his parent had no sub for SKY??? And for this crap interview with ITV he abandoned D-Day????
The Conservative government has clearly failed since vast numbers of UK residents have no path forward in life. But what is Labour going to do? Doubtless the NHS and other public services can function better if the basic rate of income tax is 50%. But are Britons going to accept that?
The underlying problem in UK is the class system. I cannot explain in detail in a few words, but until this is changed (starting with the abolition of the monarchy) Britain will just slide back towards being a Third World society, which in many respects is what it is now. Of course a rich elite will remain, but this exists even in the poorest nations in the world.
Good day Michael there is a lot of money stolen out of the system
No sky Sunak the D.Day dodger.

Why is it more of the same? Labour's policies are very different to the Tories. They may not be offering what you would like them too, but to say they are the same is not accurate at all.
Suggest you read a bit more about what's different about all the parties, and then make a better informed pronouncement.

Our population is shrinking and we need 500,000 immigrants a year to come to the UK to maintain the support ratio
500,000 migrants every year until that number needs to be increased to 1,000,000, because 500,000 each year won't be enough to maintain the support ratio.
It's a vicious circle that will never end, and will be the death of this once great country.
In Sunak maths, the population may be shrinking when in reality (awkward as reality obviously is for you!) it's going up.
2011 Census 63.2 m, 2021 Census 67m. Plus a net inflow of 685000 last year alone.
In what possible world, given these figures, is the population shrinking?
@@trytellingthetruth.2068 Your source for these figures is?
Since the millennium, over 10 million have come to the U.K. (745,000 in 2022 alone). Circa 80% of the immigrants never find work. So they make no contribution but place a huge burden on our public services and benefit systems. What could possibly go wrong?
@@neathletics2439 No, the UK population has increased by just over 9 million, from 58.8m in the 2001 census to 67m in the 2021 one, not over 10 million as you erroneously claim. Your grip on maths and statistics might be politely described as slight, from this and your other claim.
