Context: In Germany, assimilation had been a war word used by the German NS/SS people of 1933… which is not being used anymore since than.

I remember 10-15 years ago I was talking to guy who lived in sweeden. He told me that it is that safe that people leave their homes open because robbery, burglary, theft basically don’t exist in their country. Look where we are now.

@@hasuchobogosu Mostly yeah, or up until the 80s, depending on the area. In the 50s many would leave their bikes unlocked in public areas, or even their home doors when going away. Around the 90s/early 2000s is when it started to become common to lock your door even when you were home, but at that time (after the fall of the Soviet Union) poor Poles were a pretty big issue when it came to burglaries and stuff. Driving around stealing bikes etc. until their truck was full and then driving home. But other than that, they weren't physically harming people or anything.
Now it happens that people living in normally safe, middle class areas get home invaded by armed men instead (mostly for jewelry, expensive watches etc). Like the case where they shot the husband in front of his wife and kids.
All kinds of self-defense weapons are illegal in Sweden, including non-lethal things like pepper spray, which makes people very vulnerable to such things. Luckily still pretty uncommon, but if it continues in that direction then gated communities might start becoming commonplace. But we'll have to hope it doesn't come to that.

most places are still safe, there's just a few areas in or around the major cities where they will react like this to police and media presence. most of the violence you hear about is gang on gang violence etc.
if you compare it to somewhere like the US it's extremely safe even in those unsafe swedish areas.
Believe it or not, there still are places when people do that today just fine in small towns or rural areas, ntm burglary crimes have statistically decreased nationwide over last 20 years

That's why it's called a no-go zone in the first place. The police aren't equipped to manage the area. In other parts of the country it's not bad enough to be called a no-go zone, but it's still pretty much police-free zones. I live in a small town and I don't remember the last time I saw police here, meanwhile I do remember the last time I saw foreigners selling drugs on the street in broad daylight, and I remember when most of our pizzerias all burned down within days because the Albanian Mafia took that over and now we can't order food here without lining their pockets.

Its in the Stockholm suburb called Rinkeby which is actually kind of famous for being the most or one of the most notorious areas in all of Sweden.

When you're outnumbered 2 to 1 and the enemy's weapons are unknown, it would be stupid to do anything except flee. The guy in the wheelcheer is a brave and heroic person standing up for what they believe in, but that situation could have easily escalated into a bloodbath if they intervened.

Less than 50% of US citizens have ever turned out to vote in any election in our nation's history. 2) The citizenry has to be informed. They have to actually know what they're voting on. Neither side does this, though I will say one side adheres far closer to the truth than the other. In the end, most of the minority of our citizenry who bother to vote don't know what they're actually voting on.

Like @austinm5630 said, it's a hybrid between socialism and capitalism because it mixes a mostly private economy with an expansive welfare system (i.e., wealth redistribution). On a conceptual level, it's accurate to say a social democracy is socialist because while it advocates for keeping and reforming the existing institutions of a state, it still abides by socialist principles (e.g., wealth equity, social equality, government planning in the economy, etc.).
