    Thanks for the great comments on the Peugeot 107 Heater Motor Replacement.
    I had to try and see if the motor would come apart to make removal easier as had been suggested.
    Also cutting the heater box at the top to allow the motor to to be removed without moving other components, my thoughts on this.

    Me and my bro did this job on his 107 and we did cut that corner of the plastic heater ducting and glued it back together after , I don't think they want anyone to ever change that motor , cheers for the vids 👍👍

      I can’t blame you for that one👍🏻, did you get any bits of plastic in the blower box rattling around or was it all ok, also how did you cut it, with a hacksaw, dremmil or melt with a soldering iron👍🏻thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠

      @@aaanton11 , seemed all good after , we cut it with a junior hack saw blade and stuck it back with some hot melt , we didnt cut a lot off just a triangle corner piece , was definitely a ball ache of a job 😬

    Thank you for your follow-up-video.
    My son an I replaced the motor in an C1.
    Here the solutuion from my side I choosed.
    The solution was to cut out the insulation in the range, where it hinders moving the motor, instead of cutting a corner opposite of the insulation.
    After replacement the cut-out insulation can be reinstalled witch two-sided adhesive tape.

      No Problem! I had to laugh after seeing one of the channels I subscribe to post a video I had helped to inspire! The "We're not worthy" scene from Wayne's World came to mind. Thanks for a great channel which is very useful for us C107go owners!

    I still haven't done this, I managed to keep it going by undoing the electrical plug and squirting WD40 in there, give the matrix a bang and then it spins, but now it is getting harder, got 6 months out of this method. If I use the method of cutting a piece out of the top, do I need to remove anything else to get the heater out/in? I know you didn't use this method but have you any ideas?

    Have you ever done anything around fuel line and potential leaks on 107? My son's car has an intermittent smell of petrol in the cabin coming through the air vents. Any suggestions?? Thanks for the great videos by the way - have been a great help on the wife's C1 too 👍👍

    • @aaanton11
      @aaanton11  4 роки тому +1

      Its unlikely to be the fuel lines if there is no obvious leaks, First thing I would check is the fuel tank vent, the easy way is after driving the car remove the fuel filler cap, if there is a hiss when removing the vent is faulty. Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

    Hello Anton, 3 yrs on from this video my wife’s 107 has the same problem, hopefully I have the skill’s/ tools, my main concern is my back! How long approx’ did it take you to remove/replace the unit? Would garage labour time be prohibited, I guess it will be, but with autumn /winter on its way, a blower is a necessity! Thank’s for doing a follow up.

      I have just fitted mine, and with the aid of the video, my start to finish time was 3 hrs.
      I was a horrible job, and if you have a bad back, I wouldn’t attempt it!
      I didn’t have a bad back before, but now I have !
      6ft 4 into a c1 footwell doesn’t fit well.
      Good luck if you attempt this, but do check garage prices.
      Ant.

      Thanks Ant for your response. Main dealer,£800, 2.4 hrs labour(£140 p hr!) but my gripe is the motor at £ 414, yet third party less than £100 . Will try local garages for a quote , you did well to do it in 3hrs.I’m in my 60’s so sadly someone will have to do this work! All the best,Laurie

      @@laurencedunkley8097 £414 is steep, I think I paid £52 for an aftermarket part delivered.
      Can you not find a local home based mechanic?
      Hope you find a cheaper option, I doubt if my car is worth much more than £800 ☺️

      There is always the option of cutting the slot in the heater box to make the job easer many garages use that method without telling the customer, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

    Awesome videos mate. I've just got a C1 for my son to learn to drive in. Having problems with Aircon. Have you done any work on the Aircon system ?? Can't get the clutch to engage in the compressor. Got a diagram and traced some components but can't find 2 things to check. A/C amplifier and the pressure sensor. I'm thinking they are buried behind the dash somewhere

    • @aaanton11
      @aaanton11  4 роки тому

      Are you getting 12 volts at the clutch wire on the compressor, does the system just need a regas? Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

      @@aaanton11 I only get 12v at clutch when I jump the relay on pins between 12v and output. Was regassed yesterday and no leaks as held vacuum. From the diagram I've got the ECU gets involved so I'm starting to get worried !! There is a A/C amplifier and pressure sensor I need to find and check. It's not the one on the metal pipe by the bulkhead. This one has 3 wires and stumped as to where it's at. Thinking it's behind the dash somewhere 😭

      aaanton11 got it fixed today. Someone has had the upper part of the dash out before as a couple of screws were missing. But who ever had it out before didn’t connect this plug back into the amplifier module. My 16 year old helped to do it and by following your video the dash was out in 10 mins !! Thanks again for your help and a great video
