I hoped this would make you smile as much as me..!!! Just gotta love the way they nail this, the groove and how playful they are, plus a great audience to bring the room to a boil…bass man is Joe Dart, a true monster funkster. Thanks SO much for doing this! 🙏🏻♥️😀
I had so much fun with this one, thank YOU for suggesting it! :)
The bassist is THE incredibleJoe Dart.
Love that version, the interaction between the musicians and the enthusiastic crowd!! 😃 Left a big smile on my face 😊
So much fun!!!
Spasmic Jude Law on the Mandolin!!!! 😍
I luv this version of Dean Town so much
😂🤣😂 nailed it 😂🤣😂
Yes!! Your reaction vids are all music that’s right up my alley. More jazz-funk-fusion please! Vulfpeck, Knower, Fearless Flyers, etc! Maybe even throw in some mid-70s Zappa…
My friend, you're speaking my language!!!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Zero chance I stumble into these guys by accident, but since it was your awesome channel, I dove on in. Wow. Total virtuosity on display, what a blast!! Great video. 👍👍👍
SO glad you got to experience it with me on my channel! Man, I love seeing this awesome videos for the first time. So much amazing artists/bands out there! I'm just getting started!
Can’t wait!!!!!!!
😃😃😃
Thanks for this one; I'm a big fan of Chris Thile's work and Vulfpeck rocks! You might consider listening to Punch Brother if you haven't kept up with Chris's recent work. Their performances of Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major: Allegro is just wonderous. The last thing they released was a short but sweet arrangement of Norman Blake's. Church Street Blues, where they play the tune in 5/4 time. Chris's voice reminds me of James Taylor in that one. Cheers.
My apologies for calling him Chris Th-eye-l...hahaha just found out it's THEE LEE. I definitely need to check out Punch Brothers! Thanks for the tip!
Such fun!
BTW, Thile is pronounced thee-lee.
Ug...sorry!
You should do a video or a life stream about the entire madison square garden concert they did a few years ago. It’s a masterpiece, the funkiest movie ever.
I've been toying with doing a live stream like that! I'm going to give it some serious thought! Thank you!
@@StrateleStudios It's my fave live performance ever (just pips Nightwish Wacken 2013 to top spot which is the highest praise). If you watch it i'll be a sub for life.
This video...so fricking good
Great reaction AGAIN! Chris’ last name is pronounced thee-lee, and his talent is one of the deepest wells I’ve ever seen with a mandolin.
I did find out later that I’ve been pronouncing his name wrong for years 😂🤣😂
The funk virus is highly contagious ; 1:40 Jeff's smile and rhythmic nodding as well as 2:40 the gasps/moans being typical symptoms, among the urge to wanna bob the head and boogie 😄 - Chris Thile's facial expressions show a real severe case of funk infection!
The magic of music, what a gift 🙏!
👏👏👏👏👏👏😃😃😃
If you like Chris Thile have you checked put his work on Goat Rodeo? (with Yo Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer) Helping Hand is my favourite song of theirs but all their stuff is fire.
Oh cool…I haven’t seen that…I need to check that out! Thank you!
"Goat Rodeo Sessions" was recorfed a decade ago. "Not Our First Goat Rodeo" came out this year. There are videos on UA-cam.@@StrateleStudios
Kinda disappointed this wasn't from Madison Square Garden. That one's one of the most incredible things I've ever heard in my life! 20,000 people singing along to that lick, flawlessly, through the entire song.
Kind of reminds me of Aquarium Rescue Unit, except the lite version maybe. Matt Mundy was an awesome progressive mandolin player. So was David Grisman.

Oh damn! Hahaha, I'm always mispronouncing stuff.
Great videos mate! I think you would like Forq a lot as well, they are an under branch of Snarky Puppy with Michael League on bass. I would suggest Taizo or Starchy, but most of their stuff is bangers :)
Thank you Mads! I just added your suggestions to my list! :) :) :)
The Suspense…!!!!! 😂
I mention you in the video😄
@@StrateleStudios I just noticed, and I’m honored!! 🤩 Ps. It’s just Gabriella 😂 but it was already taken so had to add first letter of my last name ”N”…
I was listening to Cory Wong's podcast with Michael League and they discussed the value of under rehearsing and Cory mentioned that this rehearsal was even more off the charts! Oh to be a fly on that wall
I can totally see that...(when you are as good as they are hahaha)
Yea man Nickel Creek is good, but his new stuff with The Punch Brothers is golden. Check out Familiarity by them
I will! 👏👏👏👍
2 vids a day keep the Fun Police away ;-)
😂🤣😂🤣😂
Just a bunch of nerds making the best music ever XD
LOL yes!
Cory Wong is not a member of Vulfpeck, although he often plays with them. He was not in this video.
Oh wow, you’re right. Looks like he’s a “associate act” and not a main member (according to Wikipedia). Thanks for the info 👍
He is a 'touring partner' and kind of an extended member of the band. What are you talking about though? He is in this video and right in front next to Joe dart. Kinda hard to miss him lol
