The dealer should either have a way to fix this (firmware or reset), or escalate the issue up to Mazda USA. Yes, I did. Looks like it is a blutooth problem. Once phone is placed in airplane mode and then back off, it gets back to normal. Also, it is not a problem with the phone itself. Same things are happening with different phone that my wife is using.
The fact that the MPG display goes from 5.2 (or more) down to 4.4 tells me a couple of things. 1) You're idling the car which is going to continue to deprecate the MPG 2) That deprecation is hard to gauge, but the rate of that may suggest you have not driven very far at all since the last MPG reset. It will display an average since last reset. If you don't have a lot of miles since reset, that average is based on a short amount of time and when idling, every minute represents a much larger percentage of total run-time since the reset, impacting the average far more than if it had been driven for many hours and had an average based on that timeframe. So, while impossible to know how long this car was idling during the video filming, it dropped by .8 MPG and this may suggest the average of 5.2 (or thereabouts) nearer to the start of the video may not be based on any meaningful length of time. For example, If I fill my tank and punch the gas a few times doing local driving to a nearby lot I could park in, I'm likely to show poor MPG for that small amount of time (assuming I reset at the refill)... and then if I sit there idling, I'm going to watch that average deprecate over a relatively short period of time. HOWEVER, if I'd driven a long period of time and pulled over to idle, it will take much longer to watch it deprecate. Welcome to Critical Thinking 101.

I’ve gone in 7 times cause the engine light has come on and they have no reason as to why it’s on. Mazda of America is most likely going to buy the car back.
You have to describe the problems and what you are trying - because many people listen to videos, and don't sit and watch. Stop saying 'this' - which describes nothing.
Just go back to you beloved Honda were nothing will bother you, car with issues needs to be repaired or lemon law should be applied , even most reliable cars like Mazda can have issues with early model reliability... Don't dwell on it , lemon law is for these cases, so instead off self torture act on it and move out of the car .
K domster, my previous car was Mazda CX-9 2008 that I bought brand new. I had it for over 14 years and replaced it gor this piece of junk. Also in the past I had 626. Do not tell me about hondas, I never had it and will not buy it. If you don't understand how flustrated it is to have those problems thzt's your problem. My good friend has CX90 for a over 7 months and 9K miles and it perfect with zero issues past some TSBs and recalls on issues of new model. So go and get your lemon replaced with newer build model and you will be good to go ... just don't think any of these modern cars full of electronics will last you 200K miles . Sorry keep em with warranty that you can add and extend to say 100K miles , good luck and sorry for Honda 😉
Finally, someone that realizes these things are worthless! Thank you! I’m a Mazda tech, & the cx-90 is garbage! The repair information is just as useless as the radio too btw. Multiple cars have come in with certain DTCs that there is no diagnostic information available for. I’ve worked on cars for many years & used to enjoy it. Now it’s like working on a cellphone with wheels. Cellphones are much more reliable though…
I spent the last two years working in a used car department that sells a lot of Mazda every time a customer calls me and tells me something is wrong with a Mazda. I told them they are doing something wrong. They say no they come in and I show them what they did, for example The. Air conditioning button and wonder why it’s not cold
@@ELP1125 Yep, I have been a certified Mazda tech for about 8 years now. Honestly, their cars have been quite reliable until lately. You must drive a Miata/Mx-5 though if I’m offending you by speaking the truth.

You should've waited until the 2025 model came out, or even better the 2026.
Hola. Saludos.
its not through i have cx90
New car go dealership on warranty
I’ll pass!
I have one also and it’s a pile of shit. I would not recommend this car to anyone I’ve lost complete power on two separate occasions thank god we weren’t on the freeway. It’s at Mazda as we speak. I’ve gone in 7 times cause the engine light has come on and they have no reason as to why it’s on. Mazda of America is most likely going to buy the car back.
That button you are pressing is for the phone maybe you need a few lessons
I hate that stupid seat belt sound Mazda have
You have to describe the problems and what you are trying - because many people listen to videos, and don't sit and watch. Stop saying 'this' - which describes nothing.
I once owned a 1993 Mazda 323. It was the biggest LEMON! Problem after problem, including a defective camshaft in the engine!
1993..??..!!!..??. Haha...I once owned a 1918 horse and buggy....nothing but problems. 😂
Video shows current problems, I wish not to have them. But it looks like this car is not reliable as far as electronic. Drives nicely, I like it.
@@darekg5163 Nice to know Darek, I had 2008 GT CX-9 as well , than 2017 GT CX-9 and all were super reliable.
Looks to me like you got a lemon of a new car , CX90 is totally new so more prone to catch a lemon as you did.
You're a Mazda tech...yea sure
lol I love mine and other than Mazda designated recalls I’ve had no issues thus far. Anecdotal evidence doesn’t mean shit. ✌🏻
If you wanna reliable SUV that works get Mitsubishi Outlander that is in production and continual improvement since 2012. People say it's almost bulletproof as consequence of so long production and development lifespan.
It’s a Mitsubishi lol They’re still bad
Have the Cx60. Horrible car
Phil Pearce, which part is the one you don't understand? This car is piece of crap as far as electronic, period.
Only worse then this I had in my life was Chrysler 300M, but no wonder it was an american car. This car is only few months on the market an it has tons of problems already. I was under the impression that it would be as good as my previous Mazda CX-9 2008 or better. What a disapointment.
Maybe try updating your infotainment system?
Also you may wanna reset the head unit by pressing music, navigation and volume button at the same time for 20 sec to reset it, it may fix it.
