Had the recalls all done on my 24 CX90 and also the grease service to the front end for the noise. It’s never run better and it’s a first year car, so going to have those type of stuff. My dealer is so amazing, and honestly it was a pleasure to get these services done. ✅
Say whatever but my dealer has been amazing making all the recalls and accepting the problems, with Chevrolet still I am having problems for them to fix the key fog, with nissan it was a pain to get them fix the airbags so Mazda is amazing!
Great detailed video, thank you for this posting, I don’t own a CX90, but my daughter just purchased a 2024 CX5 on May 5, and her hubby has as a 2022 CX5 hope they don’t get these recalls. But if she does we hope our Mazda dealership service technician are as complete and thorough as you! Again, thanks for a great video, extremely informative and detailed and yes…interesting. Mahalo and Aloha from Hawaii!
I just randomly stumbled this video n read your comment. So cx5 is 7years old platform, by now mazda has ironed out most if not all the problem cx5 has had in the past, from NVH no longer an issues, cracked cylinder head n coolant gasket leak affecting 2021 model. On the other hand, cx-90 is a brand new platform with brand new engine and brand new transmission/gearbox built inhouse by mazda(some or most company outsource engine or gearbox to save R&D cost). Thus its always best not to buy 1st gen of anything, wait until 2nd or 3rd even.
Yes, new platform and new problems. Because of that I have never bought a 1 gen anything. The people that buy first gen, I call the Trailblazers. Pushing ahead with no fear and setting the path for the rest of us.
Subscribed! Thank you for showing us what is involved with this type of software upgrades for these new vehicles. I appreciate how well you explained it and also look forward to more Mazda (especially cx90) content.
I was driving my in-law’s Lexus NX this weekend and the emergency braking system engaged during sharp cornering and locked the steering wheel from apex to exit. Terrifying. My brother in law says his new Honda crv hybrid locks the wheel when he goes over sudden inclines. All these systems are not sophisticated enough for secondary roads and need to be disabled at low speeds.
I have been a Mazda owner since 1988, and having had over 30 different Mazdas, it is very interesting to me to see the dealer technician's side of things. Thank you for taking the time and effort to share this with us! :)
Coincidentally, I have a 1988 B2200 and I was there when my dad bought it. No technology, just nuts & bolts to turn. There's plenty of room to work in the engine bay too!
i hear you on the silent viewers…. people pls subcribe…. thank you for showing us on how to do software update… my cx90 gtp (canadian) coming in about a week and hopefully all the recalls are done
If you mean, Is it possible to keep records of your oil changes. Yes. If you take your vehicle to the dealer for oil changes. Then they will have records of all your oil changes. If you take your vehicle to a reputable oil chang facility. Yes. They will keep a record of your oil changes. It's better to go to the same place every time you get an oil change so if one day you need the records, you can just stop my and have them print them out. But, if you just keep all your oil change receipts. Then you have the records.
Since I have this car the Mazda CX-90 PHEV premium I don’t even know how many times I have been visiting the dealership, also there’s a sign in my dash saying engine malfunction or hybrid malfunction, I have a year with the car and Mazda has done just nothing, they told me I can’t use the app to warmup the car inside when is cold, but the same thing now in summer when is too hot I can’t use the app to cooldown the car inside, sir have you seen this issue?
For the malfunction message. You need to go to the dealer to get it fixed. It could be anything. If the dealer is giving you the runaround, then take it to another Mazda dealer or just scream and yell until they do something. I don't know much about the app. I never owned a Mazda with connected services. But, if they are telling you that you can not remote start the vehicle to warm it up or cool it down. Then they are wrong. And, I would want to know why they say that.
Check your VIN with these break downs. If it falls within. Then your vehicle has it. 6724E VIN BREAKDOWN JM3 KK ******100044 - 131022 From December 27, 2022 through September 12, 2023 6624E VIN BREAKDOWN JM3 KK ******100054 - 147984 From December 27, 2022 through November 9, 2023 SSPD6 VIN BREAKDOWN JM3 KK ******100044 - 150358 From December 27, 2022 through November 13, 2023
I've done that before. Usually they are all up to date. In the past, Mazda would say not to do that unless you had a bulletin that said to do it. I'm guessing because you could update the PCM for a vehicle that has starting issues in below freezing weather into a vehicle that lives in a high temperature climate. That could be bad.
I haven't seen that yet. I hope you get it figured out. UPDATE: There is a recall for that. 5923F - SAFETY RECALL - 2024 CX-90 SUSPENSION NOISE CONCERN. You should get it checked out. Don't wait. Here is the VIN breakdown. 2024 CX-90 JM3 KK******103564 - 104820 From March 3, 2023 through March 11, 2023
Mazda over-complicated some aspects of the CX-90 unnecessarily, so not surprised. Love my 2022 Mazda CX-30 CE though - no issues/problems/defects found going on almost 2.5 years now of owning/driving it. Vehicles like the CX-90 are way to large/bulky for my taste, but always interesting to read about.
I’m waiting for my 2025 CX-90 and I’m just sick of all the videos of how bad this car is. Can’t get out of it now without losing deposit. Just sick about it.
Settle down. Take it easy. You need to take the reviews with a grain of salt. If a few vehicles in 100,000 have some issues, people will always show the bad stuff. Recalls and software updates are just tweeking the vehicle to make it better. Probably something the engineers missed during the production stage. They seem to always use the public to be their test drive guinea pigs. I call them the trailblazers. Anything that needs to be tweeked or fixed on the 2024 will already be fixed on the 2025. Every production vehicle has a few blacksheeps. You just got to take it with a grain of salt.
It's not BS. It's not a waste of time. The recalls need to to be done to bring the CX-90 up to the standards that it shoud be. Nobody hates the CX-90. It's a solid vehicle and has no other problems then any other first gen vehcile. This is a nice vehicle. With the help of the recalls it should be solid.
This is a nice vehicle. It really is. For me. It's just not my style. I have a small family and no need for a larger SUV. I have driven many of them and they are smooth and elegant. When I see one on the street. Even though I work on them and have driven many of them. It always seems to get a doubletake.
Do you own a 2024 Mazda CX-90? Have you done you're recalls?

Thank you for the kind words. The CX-5 is a great vehicle. And, thanks for your support.

Welcome aboard. Thanks for watching and thank you for your support. I will be sure to put out as much Mazda content I can. Especially CX-90.

You watch Motorsport racing hub? 😅
I just checked the NHTSA and there's only one open recall without a fix for right now. So I call Bullshit....

The problem is technology
Coincidentally, I have a 1988 B2200 and I was there when my dad bought it. No technology, just nuts & bolts to turn. There's plenty of room to work in the engine bay too!
Ok, but you open by throwing up, recall papers all over the hood of the car. There are at least 15 papers. I expected 15 recalls. Nope, three. Hmmmmm.
Yes, only 3 and in this video I did 2 of them. If you watch the video. One of the recalls is 16 pages long. So that is why so many pages.

Oh yeah. The transmission issue. How could I forget. Thanks for your comment.
I am really thinking get one.
Did the problem got fix?
Thank you
Thanks for you comment. Yes. all fixed.
Great video, lots of recalls for these cx,90, wonder if cx 70 will be any better.
We shall see. Thanks for the comment.

I have a 2024 Mazda CX 90 S turbo and nobody has called me about any recalls yet

Why won't you check all of the other modules for updates and update them?

I have a 2024 CX-90. The left front suspension has noise. It does not happen all the time. I will wait a little longer to go to dealer.
I haven't seen that yet. I hope you get it figured out.

There's a TSB for fixing it.
@nexushexus4365 You're right. It's not only a TSB, it's a Recall.

Year #1 or a new platform this is called an Early Adopter
Do they have problems?
No more than any other 1th generation. It takes some time to get all the bugs out. It's a very good vehicle.
I’m waiting for my 2025 CX-90 and I’m just sick of all the videos of how bad this car is. Can’t get out of it now without losing deposit. Just sick about it.

CX-90. CX-70, CX-50. it's a new era. We'll just have to wait and see. Beautiful vehicles though.
