"Is cyber security hard" No it's just like wiping your ass it takes time and you need to double check. :) Most people want whatever they do to seem so complicated and complex that only they can do it or only a few are good or smart enough to do. lol but the short answer is NO it is not, it just take some time to be good at it just like anything else in this world.
Hey Sandra thank you for the info. It may be helpful if you’re able to add subtitles along with what you’re saying as sometimes I watch shorts when I’m in areas where it’s not convenient or hard to listen to a video (i.e. on a train etc.)
Thanks for the motivation. I expect any new job/skill to be hard to learn. I'm glad there are tools to help people and you did a great job naming a few.
It's nice to hear someone saying they got an IT degree because I've been so back and forth lately between CS and IT. I finally decided yesterday on IT because I'm not great at math and CS would take me another couple years because of the calculus. And computers aren't really my passion, just moderately interesting, and I don't want to get burnt out in school before I even get started with the jobs. I think I could do really good in IT, but CS just seems like too much for me.
Honestly, I’m with you on that my biggest regret was choosing CS over IT because not everyone can just do CS I would’ve been better off learning IT and working my way up Cyber later on it just depends on how well you do in teaching yourself concepts
Got you. I'm studying an IT diploma, and I'm also only moderately interested in technology. I would like to become a software dev but I know for a fact I would suck at CS lol

The actual question is not is cybersecurity hard. The question is rather does cybersecurity require special talents such as learning to sing like Ariana Grande might.
Would you suggest getting a cybersecurity degree if that’s what I’m pretty sure I want to do or is it more beneficial to get a computer science or IT degree and then study and work on certifications in my own time?
Same situation here as well, Got an IT degree and then did 3 years of service desk work then went in green, the first year was hard and difficult to do.
i also got my IT degree, now looking for a job. not interested in any type of coding. what do you think about cyber security? does it involves coding/ comp languages?
As a first time college student with no in the job experience, what entry level job should I apply for? I plan to do my Security+ certification on a few months.
Well she just described any degree or career lol. Ahhhhh being young is so much fun. She clearly did pick up slit of information in undergrad but who can blame her…most of us didn’t…needed certificates is 1 and advanced degree is 2 and learning programming Linux number 3. I just talked to a cyber security consultant…learned it all in the military so if you can go that way first and learn it’s better off. I am studying now for my first certification and have 18 years experience in finance so the math coding is bit an issue but it’s like learning anything new…your feel dumb at first then it’s gets better and better till you fall for it…if you don’t move along to something else you like.
