I have to play all of you videos at .75 speed!
Thank you for making all these videos, ive seen them since covid and it has inspired me to pursue cybersecurity as a career
Im really glad these have been helpful!☺️ thanks so much for watching!
Great list of resources. Thanks for all your work Sandra :)
Really glad this was helpful! :D thanks for watching!
wow - amazing information and i love your in-depth knowledge videos and passion for what you are doing and helping others. I wish i had discovered you and your channel soon. I had previously taken a bootcamp and completed certification in Security +, Ethical Hacking and Splunk but don't fell like I really know anything nor where or how to start my career in cybersecurity. Any and all information or advise you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for what your doing and i can wait to learn more from you.
With Gratitude, Rich
Awesome content and thanks for the resource list. I finished the Google Cyber cert and nearly ready to take Sec+, so I bookmarked this video and will def avail myself of these tools.
That's awesome!! Congratz on finishing up the Google Cyber cert and keep us updated with your progress going into next year! :D
I have a question!,
which should I do first after Google cybersecurity, is it Security+ or HTB CDSA?@@WithSandra
Great list
One of the best! Thanks a lot :))
Really glad this helped! 😁
What’s the difference between a security architect and a cybersecurity analyst, also is is possible to learn without any technical experience or coding skills.
Hey, I'm glad you made this vedio
Nice piece
Thanks for the info Sandra😊
Great! Thank You!
That's treasure for anyone who's into cyber security, thank you for your effort:)
Thanks so much :D! I'm glad this was helpful, best of luck in any of the courses you decide to take!
@@WithSandra can wait for your next video :D
thank you
Will be taking these onboard to learn, we coukd be moving sometime in the next month or so so gonna be fun moving and learning 😅
Also Network Chuck, yep, I've been learning from him too, a bit wit John Hammond too...
Great to learn this sort of stuff whether you want to be in IT or not, so you can help yourself, your children if you have any or family and/or friends... I love the idea of being able to help my family if the need help in such situations, I will be rewatching this at a later time if needed 😅 also I'm in my 30's so I'm one of the late boomers to this 😅
Whats a good cert for someone with 3 years experience in the Cybersecurity field as in SOC/IR?
So many resources lol Thanks Sandra! 2024 will be huge lol
Yeah these courses will keep you busy next year 😆
Great resource thank you 🙏🏼 please speak slowly ❤
Is the MIT free course certified?
Sandra I want to switch my career to cybersecurity from Software QA experience. I will start from these free courses, can you give me more advice on how to increase my chance to land a role in cybersecurity?
Coursera: Google and Microsoft Cybersecurity professional certs are beginner friendly
But they are paid
@@rahulseju8882 you can audit them for free and even try for the economic aid from Coursera. Auditing means you get to watch the videos and the written lessons but don't get to do the Labs and tests and won't get the "certificate of completion " but you get the important content to learn from.
Is it free?
@@fullgist6723 is what free?

Black hills pay what you can courses are very good
Sandra, I have been starting with Cisco Network Academy and I love this platform in my start. Thanks
Double it. The Cisco Academy provides an “English for IT” course too.
love it already save save the video
Really glad this helped!!😁😁
She looks so elegant.
Sandra, I am currently learning to code. How many months do you think it will take to master Python? I plan to become proficient in three programming languages: Python, JavaScript, and C++. Which one do you recommend I start with?
I know you’re not asking me, but if your focus is cybersecurity start with Python. It will take you years to master it, no shortcuts. You can get very comfortable with the fundamentals in 2-3 months though if you practice consistently.
how did you study it ?
@@Lab_Analyst
You never master it. And if you think you can master it, it's because you don't know it.
@@user-bp2er5mb4pUse UA-cam, sololearn is good app. It will teach you basics of python. Then buy book. N number of python books. Python is general purpose programming language, so decide what you want to do. Are you a web developer on backend? Then you should know Django framework if you are working with backend python. Are you a data scientist? Focus on what you will use. Also, learn pep8 and how to write clean python code. Nothing is more irritating than having to follow someone's messy code. Use comments and proper spacing.
@@Lab_Analyst thanks man.
❤
I’m a month late watching this ,Sandra are these courses still available?
hi! yes, most of these courses are still relevant today :)
Hi do you know of a boot camp for cyber security 😊
These are the two I typically recommend! But I'm planning a video on this soon for 2024:
🧭 Springboard Cybersecurity Bootcamp (Get a Job or Your Money Back Guaranteed - $1000 off Code WITHSANDRA): www.springboard.com/landing/influencer/withsandra
💡Start a 6-Figure Non-Technical Cybersecurity Role: www.techpreneursclub.com/apply-with-techpreneurs-club-s
Thanks that’s great 😁
Should I get my Comptia A+ 1st?
Did you go to any of the two boot camps
CISCO Network Academy has an Intro course to Cybersecurity as well, I'm taking it, and it's very good so far😊.
Thank you, I find it very useful! I found out that the Cisco Academy provides an “English for IT” course too.
I’m just starting. I’m 41. Is it worth it?
Its never to late to start.
are all these good for cybersecurity analyst and SOC analyst roles ? is there a certain one you would recommend or say is the best for this position?
Yes. Trymehack and hack the box will help you in the beginning of soc analyst. That's what I am going for. Also, if you have taken the coursera cybersecurity will help you get a better understanding add this to your resume.
The Hack The Box one would be a great place to start for SOC/Security Analysts! :) After that, learning some of the defensive tools from the Tryhackme course would be a good option as well, best of luck!
@@WithSandra thank you !
To people telling her to slow down; change the playback speed 💡
why is the video so fast
✅
Thanks for watching! :D
Sandra you need to do a podcast! So I can listen to it whilst gymming 😅
Slow down girl
Nothing is free on Coursera and never it will be
Their video’s course it’s on google YT channel.
2x speed
You can set to .75x if that helps! People have told me I speak fast lol
Nice, but slow down! If you can type as fast as you talk, it must be a million words a minute. aslkjfalksdjfaklsdjfklasjdlfkajsdkfjskdlf, that's what it sounds like.
LOL I've heard I talk fast yes. I've tried to use editing software to slow it down but it really messes up the audio and I can't slow down how I naturally talk unless I read off a script which I've tried but it felt a bit unnatural, you can set the speed in the YT video player to .75x if that helps! Thanks for watching :)
speak properly instaed of chewing gum in your mouth 😅
IM SORRY BUT TRY HACK ME AND HACK THE BOX IS NEVER FREE. THEY ASK YOUR MONEY AT SOME POINT. LOL
As Sandra mentioned, there is free and premium material, and the TryHackMe (THM) blog post she was referring to is a sort of learning path or roadmap with only free stuff on THM. Sure, the Learning Paths on THM have rooms that require the premium subscription, but there's a ridiculous amount for free if you follow that blog post, for example, or use the search function.
I don't have enough experience with HackTheBox Academy to say how much you can really learn for free. The cube system they use also makes it less clear what you can do for free vs THM.
They have a mix of free and paid subscription. Yes, at some point, you are going to have to pay for those top notch golden courses.
If you created a program with your knowledge, would you let people pay for your knowledge or give freely without doubt?
Yep, like I mentioned, most quality courses/content are gonna have some paid version lol, it's just how they make money to keep the lights on. Though the free beginner material is 100% still worth taking, best of luck in any courses you do take!
Nothing free in life man
You are single?
Great video!!!! You think this will prepare one for the security plus? "Coursera Cybersecurity for Everyone"
This course may cover some of the fundamental concepts on Sec+ but definitely not all since it's an introductory level course. Fo Sec+, the Google Cyber cert would be a better option: imp.i384100.net/k0R0rz
Best of luck!
. Thanks. Appreciate your videos.
