Mac has hands down the best blocking action of all time. The hair helps accentuate it even more!

Jay, Those are great marks for 16 years old.
Keep after the basic correct technique so you can get the most out of your body when you are more mature and it really counts, like after college.
    Send me a video.
    Mac

I just started throwing the shot in junior high this year. I throw the 8lb shot 41'8" in the first meet we had. My mom wants to know when I should start using steroids. She knows they will help me and hopefully someday I will get a scholarship to a good school. Thanks for the help.

    Rob,
You know its tough in the spin because of the 'weak' power position and the huge momentum. Look at Jacko Gill for a good spin with a more glide like power position and delivery. Its a trade off/compromise. I do think the better spinners will work for a relatively better power position. In the discus all the top throwers have great power positions and excellent expression of the movement. There are no "falling sprinters" who jump up to block and try to stay in. They rarely foul. Geez, calm down. My dad told me the only way to get a scholarship in track was to throw like 60' and probably 200' in the discus. And he also said I needed to use supplements to reach those marks. He was a pretty good hammer thrower a long time ago. He gave me a weightlifting bar of his that he said he bought from some thrower over 30 years ago. It's kinda different, all painted up yellow and orange but he said it was some kinda German brand, Schnell-Hantel or something like that. I like it

Those substances are not only illegal, but unsafe from a health stand point.
I suggest 6 years of hard work and technical study to see if throwing is your life's passion and if you can get a scholarship to a college.

Will you Go to Heaven when you Die?(Here's a quick test) Have you ever lied, stolen, committed adultery(Jesus said if you even look with lust it's adultery) Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? Be honest. You know you will be guilty and end up in Hell. But God is not willing That Any perish. God loves us so much He sent Jesus Christ to suffer and die on the Cross and He rose from the dead. Today, Repent(Confess and Forsake your Sins) and trust in JESUS Christ then read the Bible and Obey it.

why would you post that online, some people just dont make any sense at all. you know steroids are illegal and dangerous (at least I hope you have some kind of common sense), and Mac Wilkins will not ruin his reputation by telling you to take steroids. And with a throw of 41 in you first meet you should be fine if you work hard and not try to cut any corners. Good luck and I hope you develop some kind of common sense
